How soon post chemo should you start tamoxifin

Hi Girls, just wondering what the consensus is on when to commence tamoxifin.  Should it start soon as you finish chemo.  My doc says after 9 weeks.  Bit worried as have seen a post here where a lady didn't start post chemo & ended up progressing with her disease.  I want to stay ahead of it.  Any info will be appreciated.

    that's a good question.  I need to ask my oncologist as I am halfway through chemo.  Do you start tamoxifen at the same time as rads or after?

    You will probably get varied responses. Right? 

    I finished chemo in July, started rads in August & finished in September, and started Tamoxifen on October 1st. (See signature line for exact dates.) 

    My medical and radiation oncologists were in agreement about waiting to start the Tamoxifen until after the end of radiation.
