I am so sorry wilsie. God will give you strength.
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. Some things are looking up but its going to be a long Road.
I was offered a job this morning. Just an answer to prayers! thank you.
-
ohhhhhhhhhh wilsie. So sorry. Our Father knows the big picture, I wish we could see a bit bigger scale than we do, but here's praying for courage, strength and blessings abundant to you.
-
I start my new job in about an hour and a half. I am excited. Although it is only 7 hours a day, it is at the high school closest to where I live. I will be gone out of the house about 8 hours each day instead of being gone 10+ hours due to commuting. The downside...I won't be carpooling for and hour and a half with DH.
Praise the Lord that He heard my cries and I have this new opportunity. May I use this opportunity to show His love and Grace and always giving Him the glory for what He has done in my life.
Please continue to pray for Matt (and his family) they are in definite need of God's guidance.
-
I got my new, much smaller port today, which can be used for scan contrast, also. CT liquid you drink before scans now tastes like water, not yucky lemon stuff. I start taxol on Monday, and am almost excited about getting started! So, here are three positive things I found today, and I am going to find as many positive things that I am grateful for each and every day going forward I almost feel happy! Or maybe the verset and dilauded have not worn off yet!
Thank you for the support and love I feel when I post on this site. I could not do it without. I hope everyone is having a good day, and I love you all.
Wilsie

Praise the Lord that you are feeling so positive, Wilsie.
-
wow, meece, what an answer to prayer about your new job. I know you will use it to show His love to others.
I'm always praying for the ladies on this site. It is "funny" how much I think of each one of you through out my day. Sometimes I just groan, but He knows without my saying it out loud what is troubling my heart. The same goes for all of you!
Romans 12:12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
-
What a praise Meece!!
Wilsie, that's an attitude of gratitude! Hope you continue to be "almost happy" which is certainly better than depression or sadness!
-
Wilsie: sent you a PM but what a great attitude you have..
Meece, also sent you one, and am praying..
Something new has been added:
I've been in/ out of the hospital with what they think "may" be seizures. wouldnt surprise anyone.. but now they're going to put me in hook me to machinery, and try to "invoke " one.. They'll check my heart, brain, blood pressure..
Pray they can figure out what it is.. it's scary being alone every day. I just don't know when they happen, unless I've fallen, and find myelf on the floor when I wake up. Sudden, no warning.. odd.
So, to say the least, it hasn't been boring here.. I count on you ladies just tp pray, with all this technology God will show the drs. the way we need to go..
Hugz to all of you..
3jays,

3jays, I am sure your episodes are terrifying for the first time in my life, I had vertigo last week I blew my nose and the world went upside down! Horrible dizziness, couldn't walk, I started to call 911. It let up after 15 minutes you have my heartfelt sympathy if that's how your episodes feel
Dr call about MRI results, she says the liver mets are small and few . Prayers are working, thanks to you all. Start chemo Momday and can hardly wait to start fighting back

"small & few" PRAISE THE LORD!
-
amen!
-
I appreciate your continued prayers for my health. I'm extremely enemic, low potassium, iron and white blood count. I can eat now so hopefully I will recover quickly. I feel like I have the flu 24/7 . Just want to feel good.
-
Hindsfeet, praying for you to feel better and for healing. Wilsie

I like the name of this forum. Such pace to be found on the garden. Unfortunately this whole cancer thing robs us of our peace. Keep in trying to leave it all in God's hands. I am having PET scan Tuesday that will determine the extent of chemo which is supposed to start Thursday. Just passing that a small spot they found on my lung is just scar tissue as they strongly suspect. I just want the waiting and wondering to be over. I come to the garden seeking His peace. Thank you.
-
okkim, love your avatar. Rocky & Bullwinkle were among the best! Hoping that your journey with this disease is filled with God's peace and comfort every step of the way. It sure helps!
-
I am so thankful that in this Garden I am not alone. That there are so many wonderful women who are willing to walk beside me through the dark times and to celebrate with me during the times of joy. You ladies rock!

I Am A Child Of God
I am a child of God
And he has sent me here,
Has given me an Earthly home
With parents kind and dear.
(Chorous)
I am a child,of,God
And my needs are,great
Help me,to understand his words
Before it grows too late.
(chorus)
I am a child of God
Rich blessings are in store
If I but learn to do His will,
I'll live with Him once more
(chorus)
I am a child of God
His promises are sure.
Celestial glory shall be mine
If I can but endure.
(chorous)
Chorus-
Lead me, guide me, walk beside me
Help me find the way.
Teach me all that I must do
To live with Him someday.
-
Nice song, Kicks.
-
Another song I really like - There Is Sunshine In My Soul Today
There is sunshine in my soul today, More glorius and bright
Than glows in any earthly sky, For Jesus is my light.
Chorous
There is music in my soul today, A carol to my King,
And Jesus listening can hear. The songs I cannot sing.
Chorous
There is springtime in my soul, today, For when the Lord is near
The dove of peace sings in my heart The flow'rs of grace appear.
Chouous
There is gladness in my soul today, And hope and praise and love,
For blessings which He gives me now, For joys"laid up" above
Chorous
Oh, there's sunshine, blessed sunshine When the peaceful happy moments roll
When Jesus shows his smiling face, There is sunshine in the soul.

So busy that I haven't checked in for several days. Our 21 month old grandson has been in the hospital this week due to wheezing and breathing issues. We've been keeping his 5 year old brother. The baby had recently recovered from the enterovirus 68, also double pneumonia. He's now home and has been diagnosed with asthma. His mother had asthma as a child but hasn't been bothered by it for 20 years. Doctor told DIL that she should keep a very clean house. To that I'll borrow what our minister says: "And all God's people say Glory!" If DIL was my daughter, I'd have to say something about their house, but as her MIL I simply can't. Please, prayers for the baby.
Hindsfeet, so happy that you're now able to eat. That should help you gain some strength. Always prayers for you.
Hi to everyone else, and good to see you Kicks.

Anyone remember my friend Doug, with pancreatic cancer. His latest scan showed NONE! Still continuing with chemo for another 2 or 3 months, but all clear for now! PRAISE HIM FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!!
Kathy
-
That is awesome, and I pray he continues to do well
-
Wow Kathy! Our God is able to do more than we ask or imagine, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Awesome news for your friend!
-
God is good!!! Great news!!!
-
Has anyone here seen the movie "God's not dead!". I watched it last week with two girlfriends. we got it at Redbox. It was really good. The God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good statement is said over and over. Then we watched Heaven is for Real. (i had read the book) both very inspiring movies.
-
I liked "God's Not Dead" better than "Heaven is For Real" but both movies were thought provoking & I hope vehicles to help others know Christ.
-
I went to watch "Gods not Dead with my family and loved it!. I was in the middle of treatment and my younger daughter, who was 10 at the time, was very angry with God. It helped restore her faith. I read Heaven is for real, but did not watch the movie.
-
I've seen "Heaven Is for Real" but not the other one. I'll try to find it too.
