    Not to worry Jan69, I think after doing it as a profession for a minimum of 5 years you have immunity.  Those of us who do it just as a hobby are always susceptible.

    Patoo and Mom,  So the cleaning lady shows up with a compression sleeve today!  Gasp....says she hurt her elbow and her doctor wants her to protect it.  Just about had to confess about her susceptibility to BC.  Yikes

    No, no, no. It was clearly the Xerox machines. Men don't get BC very often because mostly women do the copying. That bright light was the cause.

    xerox copiers?  Yes, that could be it.  About a million years ago I was lead person of some department that housed the giant early edition xerox.  It was the size of an average bedroom.  That light was bright and I don;t think we were concerned about potential risks.  Everyone wanted to learn how to make it work.  How many have cancer now?

    Naw...it's all the cookie dough....you know you double or triple the batch so you get the right number of cookies, but still get to enjoy the cookie dough...ha ha given up chocolate chips and cookies :((( the sugar rush would kill me...hum...it's  Indian corn time...nope gave that up too...but I only ate the yellow so I could wear them as funny teeth...never really swallowed!

    Ben & Jerry saved me from myself. They retired my favorite coconut almond fudge chip.

    Because they discovered coconut almond fudge chip caused BC.  It's supposed to be a secret that they could not decide whether it was the coconut or the almonds or the fudge or the chips, so they came up with the lame excuse that it was "retired".  Yeah, right!

    shopping today, and i always get a treat for accomplishing that, and today i found these cookie type things, made by this lady who loved the almost burnt, but really crispy part of the brownie, and the corners too, that would stick to the pan. oh.my. i think these things are going to be dangerous to my future breast health.... she has many flavors, but i picked the sea-salt and caramel ones. o sooo gooood!! and there is a cheese store by my house that specializes in cheeses, great coffees, and salads and wines etc. many of the things there are handmade by some really talented people. i don't go there much, but last time, i found this jar of lemon curd. oh my, i am gonna gain ten lbs before the week is out. it is that good. on berries, with yogurt, on ice cream, off my finger... i am gonna go and and have a straight spoonful right this minute, and i am still full from dinner!

    Don't think it's the Ben and Jerry's - I was an ice cream junkie long before they came on the scene.

    On the other hand, I once told my DH that after him, Ben and Jerry were my favorite men. I think he was relieved that I said after him.

    Hmmmm, wanted to be one of the boys.  They don't have breasts (well most of them don't and then not like we do anyway) but wanting to be one of the boys our breasts were angry because it meant we were denying or downplaying them. They took revenge.

    Does that mean the men who get BC are being punished because their breasts secretly wanted to belong to a well-endowed female?  Wonder.

    Hmmmm. Yeah.....I'm leaning back to other people... Funny thing though, I have come to rely on only One who is able to instill a positive. Let Him take care of it!  Oh, and the BC of course!

    I'm haunted by the memory of candy necklaces.  I remember wearing the elastic bands around my neck for days as a child, then biting one of the "links" off for a snack.  I'd allow myself only a few pieces at a time so the "jewelry" would last longer.

    Aside from the fact that the candy would get dirty & sticky, there was obviously a toxic ingredient in it because - voila - I got breast cancer.

    NOOOOO!!!! Not candy necklaces!!! I have one on my nightstand, around this handmade dolls' neck, and SHE doesn't have BC!!!

    Got it! Curlers! I had to wear those dang things to bed every Saturday night!!! Poking my head. Disturbing my sleep. 

    However, GeorgiaRai, I was into those necklaces too! Go figure! 

    I just stand amazed at all the in-depth research that has been done here! So, if and when this thread gets famous, remember all the lovely ladies who took the time to add their expertise!
