Life after tamoxifen

It has been a long while since I have written to this board - so long in fact that I had to make a new account. I have just finished my five years of tamoxifen and did not expect some of the side effects I seem to be having. I have had more headaches than usual, a feeling of being light headed or "woozy" at times and still some weird joint pain in my feet. Thankfully, I have not had a Charlie Horse cramp in three weeks. They were getting really bad. Has anyone else had any side effects during withdrawal and how long did it take you to feel like you again? Best wishes for good health to all out there who are reading this post.

I too, recently finished my five years of tamoxifen - August 14 to be exact Smile  Since then, I have also felt light headed at times and having headaches too.  I've been on and off with sinus congestion, though, the past two weeks.  I don't know if it is related.  I haven't had any leg cramps, thank goodness.  No pain in my feet either.  I still have major hot flashes - had an oophorectomy in 2010, one year after the breast cancer.  I also still have problems sleeping.  I see my oncologist later this week, and will discuss these symptoms with him.  I'm hoping the symptoms will subside in time.  Best wishes to you too for good health!

I just took my last pill this morning!  I'm curious what to expect in the next few weeks as well.  My Dr told me to expect emotional instability and continued side effects like hot flashes etc for the first couple of months.
