I Come to the Garden...

Had another interview last Wednesday and was supposed to find out something by yesterday. I am over qualified, but it is another union issue. DH has a contact who can find out what's going on and he says it's a poor item in the union contract which makes them have to put a current union member in a position if they apply for it. Some day I'll be a permanent employee. I have already worked enough that I am putting in for retirement!

I had my Gamma Knife surgery yesterday. They would have aborted it if more than 4 tumors found. Found four so they zapped what could be seen...even micro small ones. Pray no more brain mets...I'm asking God to put his iron done around my brain. Pray that all the other tumors are stopped, or stable. Also pray for me that the swelling goes down in the brain from surgery, and the swelling in my esophagus so I can eat and drink...very painful. Losing too much weight, weak and sometimes discouraged about it. Taking steroids doesn't help...seem to be allergic to some of the medicine. I just want to feel normal again.Pray through this valley I am able to keep my eyes on Jesus and glorify Him through the fire. It is not an easy time right now, and I' so want to be able to eat again...I'm hungry, which is good.
Thanks for your prayers, and pray all goes well for your families and health. (((hugs)))

Praying that He holds you in His arms and comforts you.

Father God, wrap Your healing arms around Hindsfeet. I pray for her strength & endurance to run this leg of the race. Lift those feet over any obstacles thrown into her path & send her a quick recovery and the ability to eat again, very soon! In the Name of Your most precious Son, I pray. Amen

Hindsfeet, may God heal and comfort you in this difficult time. You are in my heart and prayers. Wilsie

Thank you sweet friends. I am counting on God to do what man cannot. There is a lot of pressure, but no pain in my head. My face is pretty swollen...eyes almost swollen shut. I'm hoping later this week to sit down and actually eat food...a meal. Pray the swelling in the esophagus goes down. Right now, when I swallow my whole chest spasm in pain. Ouch!
Thursday I finished up 15 radiation treatments to spine, esophagus, hip and femur. Gamma Knife was also on Thursday. Now once a week Herceptin infusions on Monday...every 3 weeks, Perjeta, and hormone blocker/bone shots once a month. I will also be getting weekly vitamin c infusions/vitamins, essentials oil treatment, and a few other alternative to aid in quality of life. Healing hopefully and soon stronger.
Thanks again for your prayers...it is a wall around me, and my comfort knowing God is my great physician.
-
Amen!

Lord, I lift all our "grown" children to You. Hold them in the palm of Your Hand, protect them under the cover of Your Wing. Guide them by Your light upon their path. Help them to remember the lessons of their youth and not stray too far from them. Help us to cast our cares and troubles Your way and let go of them as they find their ways in this world. Give us the strength needed to be there when they need comforting and an ear to listen without judgement. We thank you for giving us these children and help us to put their care into Your care now. In Jesus' name, Amen

I learned today that our beloved minister is being moved and I'm so upset. DH found out Thursday night at a Pastor Parish Committee meeting and it's to be announced to the church tomorrow. (The minister had cautioned the members of the committee not to say anything and DH lasted until today.) I'll be there, but my heart just isn't in it tomorrow. As a Methodist, I know these things happen. Sometimes one isn't too upset, but other times....This lady's going to be a hard act to follow. Please pray for our church.

prayers for you and your church, kathy. Hopefully, they will have a time of leave taking that helps heals the congregation.
-
Thanks Nancy. She'll be leaving effective Nov.1 and by then a new minister will have been appointed. October looks like a rough month, but we'll get through it.

Kathy, I hate when that happens. My church lost our pastor of 4 years at the end of 2013 to the mission field. He was the 1st pastor, in my adult attendance at church, who actually taught me stuff & he's young enough to be my son. The "replacement", Praise the Lord, is almost as good & is a tad bit younger than the other. God indeed works mysteriously.

Thanks Joni. It was a dismal Sunday at church, many tears. I hope we have the same good fortune with a new minister that you have with yours. It will be all right, I know, eventually, but I'd sure like to have that eventually now!
