Beautiful pic Lisa. I couldn't sleep again last night and was looking up flights from Chicago to Bryce Canyon. I looked at a ton of pics from there in the middle of the night. It is so gorgeous that now I may want to go there to see the red rocks instead of AZ.

Got results from the blood work I just did. Electronic records are a wonderful thing. So far everything is coming back normal. Not sure if I should be happy or sad. No evidence of bowel inflammation. Well tell that to my bowel! Still have some fasting blood work to do and another test so we'll see. What next will be the million dollar question if they are all normal.

Hope you are having a good weekend. I see you took in a soccer gameSmile

Arches National Park is also in Utah. It is worth the trip. Zion is close to Bryce, but not like the others.

I think I looked up Zion but not Arches. My computer screen rotates between different scenery and it has a neat arch which I bet is from there. Now I just have to figure what to do with my cat. That and my fibromyalgia have been my two biggest challenges when it comes to the idea of travel. I need to travel while I am still able. my dx made that fact come into clear view.

Well off to bed. Take care..

Both Arches and Bryce can pretty much be done by car...very little walking if you don't want to...but lots of hiking trails etc if that is what you want to do. I had very bad foot pain and couldn't do the walking but it was breathtaking just getting out on the side of the road to see the wonders...and of course taking photos...my bryce ones are lost...

and I do have a few arches..

This blue heron was busy preening. I took a regular pic but added some glow here!

Lisa, thanks for posting the arches. I am just in awe of the wonderful natural creations. I saw a photo documentary by Peter ? I can't remember his name. He was walking through the Wave perhaps. It was just things I had never ever seen and that is what really started the desire to shoot the red rocks. Too bad you lost your Bryce Canyon pics.

At first I thought that was a rose breasted grosbeak but I don't think so. I have felt better the last two days but am disappointed that just a few minutes ago the GI distress is starting. I am going for longer periods of time without feeling bad so that is improvement. Tests are coming back normal and negative. I should be happy for that but it doesn't solve the problem. I still think it might be my body adapting to the Arimidex.

There is a beautiful full moon tonight so I tried the Canon without a tripod. Didn't work very well. I got some interesting double exposure type pics and some slightly out of focus pics. I didn't feel like hauling out the tripod yet.

When you posted the pic of the moon were you holding the camera?

Lizzysmom, a beautiful pic. Love those birds. I am surprised I don't get in car accidents the way I am always gawking looking for them when I pass any ponds or lakes or rivers. LOL

Neat bird Lisa. I saw part of a another documentary on migrating birds tonight. They were showing how a male sandhill crane gets the attention of the female.  It was quite entertaining. Then once he finds a mate the synchronized dance they do is pretty neat.

I was standing at my kitchen window today and saw this commotion. This cat has been roaming the neighborhood for several months and giving my indoor cat fits when it pays her a visit on many nights. It was obviously after something in one of my trees. I suspect this cat killed one of my doves the other day. Not happy! Anyway I saw leaves shaking and low and behold this cat was after a red tailed hawk. Probably not the smartest thing the cat has ever done but this hawk was trying to get away. I ran to get my camera. The very few times I ever see a hawk in my yard they stay for about three seconds and fly. I ran got my camera and got one shot in and that was about it before it flew. I will post that maybe tomorrow.

My winning swan photo and article was in the paper today. It was a very nice article and has inspired me to keep learning photography and especially bird photography.

Got these shots from inside the house. The hawk was the one I mentioned about the cat trying to get it. The hawk acted afraid. It must have seen the remains of a dove in my backyard recently and probably due to this cat!  Not great shots but still fun getting used to this new camera.

Ladies, I hope you aren't sick of my little swan family. I just am so drawn to them. I got more pics today. They are growing up so fast. At first I didn't seen any of them and I thought maybe they moved them for the winter but no. They were all there. It was funny how one of the babies made this little sound as I got closer to the water. It was trying to warn the others of danger as it did this several times. Of course I am very aware that they could all charge me at any given point in time!  I wonder if they can see themselves in those reflections.  BTW today is the best I have felt in a very long time. Hope this trend continues!

Lisa, I think I am definitely going to have a hummer feeder next year. I just love those little guys. For some reason my Goldfinches won't eat on my thistle sock like usual. They come to drink in my fountain but that's about it. Maybe a good time for a hummer feeder to go up. My chickadees would be upset if I totally took down the sock. Something to think about in the winter

Teka, are you dreading winter as much as I am. lol
