Thanks Teka. I had a bad night with terrible stomach pain last night and got up for half the night. I am seeing my doctor again tomorrow. This has been going on for almost three weeks. Medication or something else. That is the million dollar question. I went out yesterday and decided no matter how I feel I am going to take my new camera and go find my swans and take some more pics I did. I will post eventually.Nancy

Nancy, sorry for your misery.
I'll be looking forward to the pics!

Me too

Hi ladies,
Saw my doctor again today. More meds and will do a bunch of blood work tomorrow. He is stumped. He said he could do all of these tests that would take six months and he doesn't want to do that. Thank goodness. I'll post some pics when I feel a little better.

Have you seen a Gastroenterologist?
-
All my medical doctors gave up on me too for 2 years. All tests came back negative but my surgeon knew that it was my gallbladder .Finally a test came back with just a little slush and she said that it was enough to go in .Not only was did she say my gallbladder was the ugliest she had ever seen I also my liver was bad. I am just saying this because maybe a fresh set eyes could help.
-
I do have colon and stomach issues and see a gastro. every five years for those fun scopes both up and down. I just had a colonoscopy last summer and things were clear. He mentioned classic gallbladder symptoms and I don't really have the pain where he talked about. I did have fever when I was there a week ago on Monday. I still keep thinking it might be a very stubborn virus that just won't give up.
That is scary about your situation Lisa. Thank goodness for that surgeon. I am to see my bc surgeon who is a general surgeon in a few weeks. He might be that other set of eyes if nothing concrete is established with my primary.
Thanks Teka and Lisa for your input. Have a good night.

I saw three gastros who told me I was just swallowing air...that is why I was throwing up and had bowel issues.. and I too had all the upper and lower scopes and every other test known to them .

This guy was was making a bunch of noise in my back yard. I know it's fuzzy, but he was moving fast.
-
-
Birdlady, They really can be noisy. We had 2 flickers sit on telephone poles about half a block apart and drum about their territory and wanting mates for what seemed like ages. The whole neighborhood was ready to import females for them.

I took these at the San Diego Safari Park

Hi ladies
Some of you know I have been MIA for a while because of intestinal issues. I did a bunch of lab work yesterday and some stool samples today (gee that was fun) trying to do that with my cat watching. I would loved to see what she was thinking. LOL Hopefully something will come of all of this lab work.
I got a call from our newspaper today for a phone interview. I don't think I mentioned it on this thread but one of my swan pictures was published in the newspaper on Aug 24. They have three weekly winners and then they choose one photo as the big winner of the month. I was the big winner. I was sooooooooooooooooooo thrilled. I will get a $50 gift card from a photo shop. Hey I can certainly use that. Anyway I wanted to let you know there has been a bright spot in the last few weeks of not feeling well and not knowing why yet. I will post this picture again. Believe me I am only learning so there was a lot of luck involved on this one.
Have a nice weekend everyone. Lisa thanks for your input. It is rather scary that you had to go for so long and still not have any answers. I feel bad that you had to go through all of that but glad they finally found the problem.
I love seeing all your cute photos. We are so lucky to have a thread like this and the bco in general!

Congrats, Nancy! That is a beautiful photo, and your recognition was well deserved! I hope all of these tests will finally give you some answers, and eventually get you comfortable.Gentle hugs, Birdlady

Here is what the swans look like several weeks later. One of them is a bit humorous and the only one where they were all listening to me when I said I want you to pose altogether is out of focus but the interesting thing is the coloring of the babies. Some are white and some are gray. Is that the different sexes perhaps? Anyway here they are. Lisa, this was only the second time with my new camera and boy do I have a lot to learn. I had so many blurry pics and was very disappointed in that. I didn't think I needed a tripod but it was from camera shake. Oh well I have plenty of time to practice with it. I love the 50x zoom though!
I am not sure what that little thing that looks like a bird house was. I don't know if there could be food in it. They liked to hang around that little house. When I finally got the light I wanted I was being eaten up by mosquitos so I called it a day.

That is such a lovely set of photos Nancy, Congrats again!!
