hey sassy. Glad to see you
-
Hey 44444. Glad you're home, and done with surgery. Hope the pain subsides soon.
Enerva, I hope you are resting and recovering.
Hi SAS, welcome back from your break.
) I think a lot of others are taking breaks too. I kinda lurk and post occasionally. Temp fostering a couple of small dogs again for about 10 days. They are right out of kill shelter where it was cold and damp. Both have pneumonia and kennel cough and on medications. They're doing much better. I keep them separated from Snuggs & Annie Mae.
It's really hot here. Today I'm doing housework and taking lots of rest breaks.
Hugs to all

Thinking of you Sass....xoxoxox
-
Goody! You're back! Now you can help me convince Chevy it's not crazy to drive to Mouse Town to meet her next month!
-
Paws, Thanks, and thanks for fostering.
Chevy that link is a hoot
A friend once brought her chihauha & maltese mix here--around 5 Lbs. Schatzi-75 Lbs, tried so hard to make herself SMALL, by getting to ground level. Wish I'd had it on tape. Have NO idea what Dini would do? But I think after a year here, he would do the same.:)Still answering PM's and checking in on housekeeping threads. Haven't looked yet at OUR thread. Bless you all.

Spookie--------the only thing that I can think of re: Chevy not wanting us to come see her is she is FRIGGEN NUTS. Why? We have but one life!. When we want to share it with another -------we honor them, they honor us. Or else she's really a guy?
-
Cami-------Whats your take on this?
-
Oh come on you guys! Damn! Yes I AM nuts.... Of COURSE I will meet you two.... because you are nuts too! Don't ask Cammi, because she will not be back for a month, because her computer privileges are on hold....
I just found this again..... It was my folks favorite song....
-
Okay Chevy gottcha babe--------name the date-------we are there. Would love to have you for an over night here. The invitation is open. Your DD and you. Spookie's been here. She knows the way. It's always amazing what we can pack into an overnight visit. It's so much better than a lunch. Way better. But if all we get is a lunch------WE WILL take that in a heart beat.
The video was wonderful. Must research origins of Amazing Grace--------it's beauty rivals all. Thanks
What's with Cami's computer priveleges?
-
OMGOODNESS, it's a story, Brought tears to my eyes as the story was unfolded. How one mans struggle, lead to a worldwide use of his words. It's 14 minutes long , but it's wonderful
Amazing Grace-the origin is by John Newton In the late 1700's.

hello all, I am still on my big adventure, completely exhausted. NYC was amazing, we spent 2 days at the US Open ( tennis, for those of you that might think golf ). Keeping up with a 28 & 41 yr. old is hard. Dinner, 2 hours past my bedtime. This is my 2nd in DC, by myself. I tried to keep up on the posts. Internet sketchy. & I am too cheap to pay for it.
Enerva & 4 sew what, hope all is well.
Enerva, Nicky has not posted since last March. She was very ill. I wish we knew about her.
Sas, I think of Bluebird often. I think it's been a difficult month for all of us.
Will catch up when I am back home....
Love & hugs to all....

-
yay hole, thanks for the pix....have fun....i am not doing anything i will live vicariously through you for a while.....
HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND....I AM DOING NOTHING WHAT ABOUT YOU ALL?
-
Sassy - Amazing Grace has a long and diverse history. Yes, it is very old, but in 1990, Bill Moyers did a special on PBS tracing the song from its roots, then as it traveled through America.
It is sung very differently depending on the geographical area, the denomination, and the culture of the people involved.
A partial description of the "Bill Moyers: Amazing Grace" DVD: In this inspiring program, seen on PBS, Bill Moyers explores its origins and enduring power. Includes illuminating conversations and stirring performances by Johnny Cash, Judy Collins, Jessye Norman, Marion Williams, shape-note singers, prison inmates, and more. 80 min
I saw this program 24 years ago, and it remains one of the most fascinating, inspiring documentaries I've ever seen.

My daughter is moved into her dorm. She is so happy. It's been a long day and my leg hurts
Welcome back Sas!
-
Hi Enerva, still here, hope you are feeling better today.
-
hi, I am in lots of pain, maybe I over did it today. Went to the pharmacy a friend drove me to get my prescription. N she visited for a few hours I am in a lot of pain now. Hopefully tmw ll be better
-
So sorry, Enerva.... sending gentle hugs....
-
now you know to slow down. Don't forget, just because you can doesn't mean you should. Be sure to take your pain pills. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Maybe you should crochet something if that doesn't hurt. Talk to you later.
-
Take it easy n yes u pushed urself. B kinder to yourself
-
6:39am I just took a different pain killer, hoping it takes care of the pain and avoid getting my stomach upset. I think there was a lot of pockets work done cuz the pain is really intense
but incisions are very clean now so that is a good sign. There is no more blood and nothing draining
Hope you all have a great day and
444 try to rest more than me. I am in more pain cuz yesterday I was up and about when I should have been in bed.
-
Aw Geez Enerva.... you pushed yourself too much.... I mean even when you feel good, you still can't do what you think you can!
I've heard things always hurt worse, 2-3 days after... sounds like your incisions are healing bettter..... Just rest and let that little body heal!
Spookers and Sass, I ain't a-gonna stay all night with you two, because you are too rowdy! You will probably laugh and talk and smoke, and raise hell the whole night!
I am more of a calm type person.... ya know... I need beauty sleep along with peace.... Hah!
Spookie, YOU stay all night with her...! Is her bathroom still out on the front porch?
Maybe you guys can meet me/us like at Universal City Walk some day for lunch? I still don't know when, because we have to spend time with the boys, since they don't live at home anymore, and have stupid jobs and things, but I will give you guys a ring and let you know later...
DD is sleeping, I think.... She & her girlfriend went to dinner and a concert last night..... and she snuck in.... just like old times.... and went on up to bed... like I could even HEAR her anyway....
So today we have to figure out who wants to do what, and then squeeze every least thing into one day, that would normally take 5 days....
She leaves tomorrow.... But then we will be going out there on the 24th.... Gives me time to re-cuperate from THIS time...Ha!
-
Good morning girls!
Enerva, it must be the phase of the moon! I hurt like crazy too. I think this is the worst one for pain yet. I know I had a lot of pocket work on the left and on the right doc told DH that he really had to work in there, rads side an all. He said that it had started to fuse and he had to pry it apart. Lipo areas ain't none too happy either. And anesthesia for me well once I wake up I'm awake. I laid here all night and don't think I slept more than two hours total.
Thank heavens for crotchless compression garments cuz if I unzipped I would prolly have to call the fire department or zoo keeper to wrestle me back in it!
PS said 3weeks no arm use doesn't even want me soft boiling an egg. I am going to heed that because if I lose this TE I know I would never talk him into this again. So this has to work!
Have a great day ladies! Chevy enjoy that family today! I know you will find a way to squeeze everything in!
BBL
-
Oh 44444444444! You TOO? What's going on around here? But the way you said it was funny.... What did you say? That you were wearing crotchless panties? You little devil you! No WONDER you need the fire department! But the zoo keepers TOO? Dang girl!
But I hope you gals get this pain stuff under control.... Love you gals!
