I agree acupuncture is fantastic. Today grateful for a fun drive to gym with a new friend we added to our carpool gang, we discovered her car is the nicest, big and roomy and very comfortable.

Onco and cheryl, I had acupuncture once. Didn't do anything for me, the the needle spots ached for a couple days after, so I didn't go back. Did I say I have a metal allergy?

Today I am grateful to be going on a dinner cruise in Toronto Harbour with my DH tonight. After dinner, they are going to have an 80's dance! Yay!

Maddy, wish my team was like yours.

Too bad you can't also use mine, Red. They're the best! (Especially since the most ignorant team the first time!)

8/15: grateful I can pay bills via the internet, in my pj's and don't have to leave the house!

Onco, what a simple and delightful thing to be grateful for. I think sometimes we need to concentrate on the little things in life that make us smile.

Today I am grateful for a lovely evening on a dinner cruise last night. Met some really nice people and enjoyed standing on the deck enjoying the breeze and the sights.

    Onco that is beautiful.

Today I am grateful that I was able to book my flights to New a york for a wedding that I'm attending next month, best of all is I'm going to be able to catch up with one of my friends in NJ from the Lets Post our Daily Exercise thread.

Grateful that it is pouring rain out right now. We haven't had a drop since June 27th (according to the paper this morning), so really need it.

Red, looks like a fun time!

    Onco, progress!  Be careful

8/16: grateful for a nice day with DH today, just sitting around and watching TV. Ok, when he napped, I did some laundry and light cleaning.

Today I am grateful for a lovely wedding yesterday, for a nice visit with my mom this afternoon and for finally weeding the front garden.

Grateful that my 90 year old mom who lives in a nursing home because of Alzheimer's has a friend in a woman who lives there who has had a stroke.  Her friend, Pat, tells me all about Mom and what is going on in the facility.  Pat kind of looks out for Mom, and Mom seems less restless.  I am so grateful.

8/17- grateful for a nice day out of dodge today to visit Santa Fe.

Honeybair- I am glad your mother has a friend there to look out for her. We moved our mother across country to CA to have her closer to my sister when she had a stroke (and had some dementia from that) and needed more care/needed to live near my sister. Amazingly enough, not one but two sets of friends from our home town in CT ended up having family there and recognized her there when they were their visiting family. They would help to watch out for her during the times we could not be there. Talk about divine intervention, things move in mysterious ways.

And I am sorry about your mom too. My dad had Alsheimers and it is the cruelest of diseases. I know several on this thread  here have parents with this awful disease. Hugs to everyone.

8/17: I am grateful for a wonderful afternoon with my Dad. He had a BBQ to attend and asked me to go with him (he had me drive). He joined this group in 1968 and was a member till 1992, when he transferred to Las Vegas area. Since he's moved back, he was hoping to see someone he used to know, which he didn't. We had a great couple of hours together. The park was gorgeous, will try to post a photo.

Gratitude seems like a nice place to start or restart a spiritual journey.  I am almost 2 years out from diagnosis.

Today I am grateful that I have the energy to exercise.  I remember after all the chemo hardly being able to walk from the car to the MO office building.  Today I have already done 45 minutes on the exercise bicycle and am enjoying the pouring sweat,

I'm going to go back to the beginning of this thread and read what others have written!

    Hugs,

    Peggy

Welcome Peggy! Nice to have you join us.

Today I am once again grateful for a nice afternoon with my mom. For 2 or 3 weeks now, she has not been too contentious during our visit. It is a blessing.

Honey, my dad had alzheimers too. Thankfully, he is out of the mental pain of it now. He passed away 2 years ago.

Maddy, glad you had a great day with your dad. Too bad there was no-one there he recognized, I'm sure it would have made his day. Love the pics.

Cheryl, hope your back gets better.

    Great news, onco!

Hi Peggy, if you want some exercise buddies, check out the  'Lets Post Our Daily Exercise' thread on the Fitness Forum.

Grateful that the weather has cooperated the last couple days.

Saturday I was grateful for rain because we very much needed some moisture.

Sunday I was grateful that it didn't rain because I was involved in putting on a fund raising ice cream social that afternoon.

Today I was grateful that it rained a little more and then cleared up before the picnic I was invited to started.

Today I am grateful for my extended family. They are truly a wonderful bunch of people.

Onco, super about the eyes! Wish mine were 20/20. Lol.

    Nel, I'm jealous!

Honey, take care of that back.

Ruth, good idea to invite Peggy to the Let's Post our Daily Exercise thread. Glad the weather cooperated for you.

Grateful for my good long walk and being free of pain.  Icing my back really helps.
