    Optimi, great news.

    Cheryl, super mammo results.

Today I am grateful to have spent the day with my family and coworkers at Wonderland. 2x11 year olds, 1x6 and 1x4 year old. Looking after them while their parents went on the big kid rides was my job. Although I did get in two rides myself, I spent most of the day on the kiddie rides and at the splash park. It was a great day.

Optmi congrats on such great news. Red those kid rides are the best, I love seeing the world through a young ones eyes.

Yesterday grateful I was able to get caught up at work, today grateful for my neighbor as I started washing my car he came across the street and helped me so I was able to get the job done in half the time, also grateful that the package I had sent to Missouri to his Grandson made it without popping open, his DS and family were here last week and one of the kids won a massive stuffed toy at the fair and they couldn't carry it home so they gave it to me to mail, I squashed it up put it in a space bag stuffed it in a box.

Jazzy, super moon, yay!! Crystal charging. Lol

Cheryl I agree, the kiddie rides are amusing. And the kids love them. Amusement parks are for kids anyway.

Today I am grateful that I am able to enjoy those kinds of things with my kids and gkids. One of my DD's can't. So I am also grateful that I can help her out by taking my GD to events like this in her place.

    Have a lovely Sunday everybody.

Grateful for the lovely four tooth smile of my friends little boy today, he spit out his pacifier and gave me a lovely 'happy to see you' smile and yesterday he took his first steps.

    way behind again:

8/6: grateful that my Dad made the decision to get my Mom to the ER (via ambulance) today as she was moaning in extreme pain, and while she was there, her dr did scans to check her head because of her black (CT scans/ X-rays of head and abdomen revealed nothing conclusive)

8/7: grateful to have friends to talk to me on my drive home, I was very upset. Also grateful my PCP could fit me in for the swelling in my face (wasp sting on the bridge of my nose)

8/8: grateful for Benedryl that brought down the swelling and discoloration and gave me a long night of restful sleep plus a 2-1/2 hour phone call from a BCO friend!

8/9: grateful I could take my Benedryl and sleep the day away

8/10: grateful I can jump right in and get caught up

    Thank you friends!

Maddy, you have had an extremely busy week. Glad to see that all is going better for you.

Today I am very grateful to have a Monday off if work. Sitting with my coffee in the deck, enjoying both the sun and the breeze.

8/11- grateful for another good yoga class. My third in a week. I seem to need this right now.

2nd time- I am sorry to hear about your mom. How is she doing? So scary and stressful with an older parent. Hugs sister.

Jazzy, thanks! Dad has been going there every day (but one, he picked up a cough at the hospital), most of the time she has been asleep when he's there (he's been told Mom is awake at night, I almost want to check that out for myself).

Yes, Red, it was a busy week! Thought I'd get a break this week, but NO. Got a text a couple hours ago my younger brother is going to be in the area TOMORROW! My dad would like me out there too (maybe as a buffer as this bro likes to try to push my dad around) so I don't know yet. All my plans for the next couple days, may just go poof!

8/11: grateful for all the laughs and smiles Robin Williams gave me throughout the years. Loved him on Mork and Mindy, such an original. Such a vast talent, he was also outstanding in the serious roles he played. He was a gift to the world. What a shame of his passing. Keeping his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Today I am grateful for a Tuesday that feels like a Monday (took yesterday off). It means I am already 2 days into the week!!!!

Ruth, beautiful pic. Glad you had such a great time.

Maddy, hang in there girl, it'll get better. My thoughts are with you.

    Nel, yay for vacations!

Cheryl, that was really nice of your instructor. I suppose a thank you box of chocolates is out of order tho, right? Lol

Red too right, she's in training for a body building competition and she is down to 11% body fat, she is 62 and has the body of a 25 year old and she is the kindest nicest person, I ran into her on sunday at the gym and I was going to do leg work and she stopped what she was doing and came and worked out with me.  Ruth your trip looks and sounds wonderful, nothing better than fun with friends and food, food, foodHappy

Today I am grateful for a lovely morning sitting in the back yard sipping my morning cup of tea and watching the kitty cats play.

8/12- I am following suit with 2nd time around about being grateful for Robin Williams. I was shocked and saddened by the news of his passing, but also because of the circumstances that surrounded it. It reminds me that no matter how up a person may seem and how successful they appear to be, on the inside they may be crumbling. There are many faces to depression.

Thank you Mr. Williams for your wit, charm, great performances and for just being a good guy! You will be missed.

    * today I am grateful because my Book Club is going on our annual field trip (or as we call it 'read and feed')....a day of shopping, eating, visiting and, of course, a stop at Barnes & Noble.

Today I am grateful for a lovely dinner with about 25 others from Well Fit (and their spouses) . The Wok Wagon catered and some of the ladies baked lovely deserts.

RIP Robin. You brought me endless hours of happy entertainment over the years.

8/13- today I am grateful to be going to see one of my favorite bands from the 70s, the group YES tonight at one of the casinos. Also looking forward to going with a friend since I have not seen since Memorial Day weekend, and the good catch up time we will have.

    Onco,

8/13: so grateful that DH noticed AC had stopped this evening, it had been working all afternoon, probably went out shortly after he got home. He's so mechanical, figured it was a burned fuse. Off to Home Depot, less than $15 (for 2 so we have a spare in case the other ones blows), quick fix!! Can't imagine how expensive a house call would have been, plus tonight would have been miserable. So grateful for DH's talents!

Also grateful for phone calls with BCO friends, made my drive home go by quickly (hands-free so I was legal)! Plus instinct told me to stop for a pizza at my favorite pizza stand on the way home. DD stopped by for literally 5 minutes, happy to take a couple slices before leaving.

    Great day overall!

This morning I am grateful for the extra hour's sleep I got when my alarm didn't go off. My boss, not so grateful. Lol

Maddy, yay to a great day!

Cheryl, I love gardening but can't use my shears any more cuz of my hands, so I use scissors for pruning. :-)

Onco, can't say Yay for acupuncture too scary.

    Thanks, Red!

8/14: Grateful for my wonderful medical team! I read how so many women are having problems with theirs, I take mine for granted. My PCP, who I've been seeing for over 17 years, is about my age, had BC about a year before my first occurrence, so she knows what I'm experiencing and is up on all the latest findings. When I ask about certain tests, she can tell me whether it applies to me or not and suggests others. She was the one who suggested reconstruction and is always concerned about my overall health (though when I first starting seeing her, she shared an office with another doctor. Now, her practice has expanded so much, I rarely see her because she's booked so far out, and I have no problems with the rest of her staff for non-BC-related issues.)

BS and PS are women, so thorough and concerned that they answer all my questions (my PS has teased me about bringing a type list, but in a very good-natured way), lots of hugs. My MO is an older gentlemen (probably should have retired but he truly loves what he does), posts new info on the internet (not BCO) and very thorough, an expert in his field, was part of the duo who determined I had been misdiagnosed the first BC and suggested scaling back the chemo and no rads, not touchy-feely but his nurse is the hugging type. The best part of all, all of these professionals WORK TOGETHER, as a team, the way it should be.
