Lini, Where in So Cal are you?
teena -
When I'm good, I'm very good and when I'm bad, I'm better! <May West>
-
I live in Redlands, midway between LA and Palm Springs, 50 miles from Newport Beach. It's a nice, used to be little, town.

For the icecream fans- Have you tried Chubby Hubby? Vickie, I think this has you written ALL over it. chocolate covered peanut butter filled pretzels in vanilla malt ice cream with fudge and peanut butter swirls. Now that's a breakfast of champions!
-
That's funny! Do they have something for the wifey? It better not be something healthy or dietetic!
-
Other Vicki...but anyway, how about a scoop of Chunky Monkey with a scoop of New York Super Fudge Chunk?
Sounds like the breakfast of champions to ME! -

You know, B&J's sells frozen yogurt...but really? Why bother? -
Now we can rename this thread "How about drinking and eating badly" Or "Being Irresponsible" for short. Honest ny breakfast was organic FF yogurt, fruit and homemade granola. I can only sin so much and choose to save it for "The Garden". Lini, we go to Palm Springs often, last time was 7/4. Only 116 so we went up to Idylwidle to cool off. Coming back for the holidays!
-
You guys are making me miss my ice cream!!! I'm at work thinking of sneaking up the hill to the store for a Ben & Jerrys fix! Chubby Hubby...is that a Ben & Jerry's.
Vicki
Didn't even know that Ben & Jerry's sold anything that would resemble anything healthy!!! What has the world come too. -
teena - Next time you're out this way, look me up. Heaven knows I don't get to go anywhere except the soccer fields these days. In fact, my son was just out at a soccer game last night in Palm Desert.
vickie- where do you work? must be a fun place if you can be here all day.
lini -
I work at an assisted care facility...retirement community as the bookkeeper. It's a great job. We have constant internet access so I can just easily pop in and out for a minute or two here and there (some days more than others). My son came to work with me today but I have all my end of month stuff done so slacking a bit.
-
I'm betting all of those retirees would love some Chunky Monkey about now. Maybe you can get on of them to spring for it?
-
well, that's it!
i'm going to head over the border and find some ben & jerry's!
btw........"happy long weekend" girls, here it starts friday and there are tons of festivals and events........and lots of "back to school" sales etc.
i'm kinda glad school goes back tuesday! -
Im eating ice cream as we speak. On vacation, so Im not gonna be good all week.
Vickie: I used to be Director of Resident Services at a retirement communty. Set up all the assisted living services. It was a really fun job.

Hey NewVickie
So what flavor bottle did you break the other night? Cabernet? Chardonnay? Your favorite? Let me know. Rough weekend ahead, I've got a friend visiting today that I've known since I was 9! (Wine is already chilling and it's only 1130.) This weekend another is coming in from CT. If I manage to get to the boards I guarantee it will be amusing. If not I'll toast y'all in abstentia.
Lini- What did you think of Rockstar last nite? -
well girls????????
it's 7pm.
bar is open (again) -
My favorite was Ryan, but knew he wouldn't win. He's a much better solo artist. I think we'll see more of him.
Who do you think it's going to be? Magni? Lukas? Delana?
Have to go to a parent meeting and pick up school schedule. Must wait 'til later. You guys are 3 hours ahead of me.. Wahh!!! -
I have a thing for Magni- but Dalana kicks- attitude and all. Will be sorely disappointed if it's Toby. All flash no substance. IMHO. Back later...
-
I'm thinking it's Magni, too. Don't think they'll pick a female, and they others are too young.
-
Hi Teena...it was a great Fingerlakes Chardonnay...just sweet talked the neighbor guy into moving my fridge to clean up the rest of it...what fun that was!
No favorites really...just can't drink reds as a rule...gives me a massive headache! After effects of my younger days when me and a friend drank an entire bottle of...believe it or not...Mogan David...yeeechh!
Hey Shel...is the bar still open? -
I don't like Lucas, he looks lika a umbalumpa(?) from willie wonka. I like Magni the best. I think he would fit in with his humor.
-
oompaloopma!
-
Thank you. I can't spell anything anymore. But true
-
Vickie's on the confused couch (nothing new there)! What are you all watching?
-
Big Brother!
-
oh...have to admit, never seen it.
This girl has to drag her sorry a** to bed...up since 5 this morning and falling off the chair . Have a drink on me girls and see you all in the morning.
Hugs
Vickie
9 more days till FLORIDA!!! -
Rock Star Supernova with Tommy Lee.
-
Nite vickie
-
g'night girls.
gotta be up early tomorrow.
and i am sooooo not a morning person.
happy long weekend to all. -
Had a check back with the onc today. Everything looks good no hardening of the breast from rads, because I message it to keep the scar tissue down. Scars and burns are healed and I get to move out to every three month check ups, with monthly port flushes and blood draws for the blood clots.
Still have to take the blood thinners for at least another three months. Do bilateral mammo and chest CT in Nov. Did bone scan today will get results of it on Tuesday. Have appointment with Genetic Counsler in Oct. and will need to set up appointment for PAP & with Dermatologist to have a couple spots checked. But other than that I'm good to go! WooHoo!
too tired again to drink tonight, but tomorrow is Friday and we're going to Bumpershoot on Sat. We'll see Blonde and hopefully a lot of good bands. They don't have a blues stage this year so that will be different. Maybe we'll catch a copuple of comedy shows!
