how about drinking?

g'night nicki, sleep tight.........i'm not far behind you in my ORANGE jammies!
-
BTW........i shouldn't say "mugged"......it was more like "bumped into and ripped off".......nothing injurious, just made me mad more than anything!
-
Shel- I iron everything also. Also, a habit from my mom. I just do it the day of wear. Can't seem to iron everything all at once. Even when we camp and there isn't an iron around, I use that wrinkle remover spray. It actually works pretty good, but it too smelly for me for everyday use. Plus, I like crisp creases. I bet those jammies are pink. That recipe sounds yummy, pass it on. San Diego was great, so much cooler than the 105 here. We got mugged too. Well, not quite mugged, but almost attacked. It was so freaky. We're sitting on the sidelines watching the boys play and all of sudden they are all on the ground. I hadn't heard any gunshots, but looked up and there was this huge swarm of bees flying overhead. Scarier than heck. They did it again the following day.
Jasmine- I always thought it was "go by" too. I looked it up one day and looked up the definition of gavotte. It's dance.
Christine-Don't know about that whole red wine stain thing. I rarely get a good wine, only cheap ones, so I really haven't noticed. Probably something with the skins.
Donna-Really strange this has happened before on these boards, but either I'm really psychic or the BC sisters are really connected. I was just listening to my Carly Simon cd on the way home from San Diego yesterday. Bored the heck out of my husband, but the son was sleeping so it was okay. It's happened several times that I'm listening to a cd then somebody mentions a song off of it the next day. doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo(that's supposed to be the Twilight Zone song).

Looks like everyone is off to bed. I'm having puter problems so I'm on the really really slow dail up one. My good one got hijacked and now it looks like I'll have to nuke it, Damn the bad luck. Good thing I still have the old one so I can get my BC.org fix.
No drinks for me today but I could really use it after fighting with the puter all day.
Well I need to get myself off to bed here too.
nite all -
Just sang "Ode to Zopiclone" on the wagons thread...OOPS lol.
G'night all!

i'm here.........i just ironed for 4 hours "blech"
I read this on the other thread and thought, ironing? You mean you just don't take the clothes out of the dryer, shake them out, and hang them up?
<shaking head in wonder> -
[quote You mean you just don't take the clothes out of the dryer, shake them out, and hang them up?
The only items that I throw in the dryer are my sheets, towels, old tees, some undies. All of our clothing is hung to dry and then ironed. I find that the dryer is too hard on my clothing. It shrinks, loses its shape, or fades. Plus I'm not organized enough to get to the dryer as soon as it shuts off to hang the clothes before they cool down, so I'd have to iron anyway. Call me weird. -
Oh Lini...your so weird. LOL...you asked for it.
9:30 in the morning...sitting here at work and NEED a drink...already! -
Hey, I like being weird. I always tell my kids (my own and students): "Weird is more fun than boring." LOL!! Although, I will admit laundry is boring.
-
well,I got my 2 free bottles of muscadine wine yesterday. But it burns my mouth so bad.I dont know if I told you gals or not that the local winery give 2 bottles every 2 weeks out to chemo patients if you get an rx from your onc which I did get last week.It is really good if I didnt have such a sore mouth and it does really help with the nausea from chemo.I dont know what I would have done last year without it.
Love and hugs to all of you -
Robin, save the bottles for a big party when you're all done with chemo. Have you tried drinking it with a straw? Maybe that'll help.

Value of a Drink "Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shame Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams . If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver." ~ Jack Handy
I'll toast to that! -
Yea, and then there's all those brewers at the beer brewery, and the guys that grow the hops and grains. We must do our share to help them feed their families.

When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all get drunk and go to heaven!"

Stone cold sober here. Late at work again (tues and fri nights) I tried to catch the season premiere of Nip/Tuck at 11 central, but it started at 10! I love that show! Now I am falling asleep with my lap top in my lap.
Since this was moved to humour forum, it is always one of the last to be read.
Anyhow, I drank enuf last night at Steely Dan and after at the Casino fot the rest of the week.
Once again, I am the only one here, we need to get some Calif girls here drinking, so us night owls won't be alone. -
Nip/Tuck was GOOD! Maybe they'll re-run it Christine, 'cause you need to see it.
Vicki - you're crackin' me up! I used to have a t-shirt that said, "There is no greater love than that between one drunken friend to another..."
Have a great day my friends ~
Donna -
