Trip to see Vinnie
Comments

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Owings Mills. It is new and very nice plus the breakfast was great.
-
I finally have an appointment with Vinnie - 2/10 in NOLA!
-
ucfmom- Woohoo!! Awesome news!! Congrats on setting your appointment. You have to tell us all about it!

Can you please tell me if Vinnie does a "draft" of the tattoo first so you can see the size and position of where permanent tattoo will be? And color? Thanks!
-
I got my Appt!! April 16!! WWWOOOHOOOHHOOOOOOO!!
-
He draws a circle where he thinks they should be placed then he lets you look in the mirror. I had him move mine down a bit 'cause I'm closer to an old lady than a spring chicken. Also I cheated a little and had already asked my ps where they should go. I used her placement. I let Vinnie decide the color. He is the expert.

I hope there's room for
one more here at 'Vinnie's Girls'... Long story made short, I just had
revision surgery three weeks ago to correct everything that my first PS screwed
up and have thankfully come out with a spectacular result this time. However, one
of the casualties of the most recent surgery was the loss of both nipples which
have been a source of pain and victims of significant asymmetry since the
original BMX. Thus, I'm now waiting for my‘Trip to See Vinnie’. I’ve always been an ardent admirer of his
work, but as the recipient of a NSBMX, I never in my wildest dreams expected to be in need of his
services. (Well, surprise!) So as hard as it's been to get to this
point, I feel that it’s only fitting to go to Vinnie himself for the grand finale.I just got off the phone with Richie in Maryland, and Vinnie's appointment list there is closed for the year - but there is a waiting list. Richie is hoping to open it up again soon, but I'll wait as long as it takes to make my pilgrimage from Arizona to Maryland. In the meantime, YAY for all of you with appointments! I know how much this final step means...
-
Wow, that was fast! I just got a call from Anna at Vinnie's and I've got an appointment on January 8th! WOO HOO! What a great way to start the year!
-

-
AZ- SO JEALOUS!! Wow, that is awesome and we can not wait to see your results!!

That is awesome! I bet you were as excited as I was when the New Orleans phone number popped up on my phone while I was shopping in Key West last week!

I am scheduled to see Vinnie in September in Finksburg (couldn't get in to see him in New Orleans). I'm hoping someone can advise me as to whether I should book a hotel in Finksburg or somewhere else. (I am coming from KY.) Should I make a weekend of if and try to have fun? Any advice would be great. Also, how did you figure out what color you wanted?
Thanks in advance if you have any advice to offer.

I flew into BWI and took the train to downtown Baltimore. There are some interesting things to see. I only had a couple hours so I went to the tourist info bureau right down by the harbor and had them recommend things to do. Then I took the train back to the airport to pick up my rental car. That way I only had to pay one day's car rental and didn't have to worry about parking downtown. I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Owings Mills a suburb heading to Finksburg. The drive to Finksburg is quite pleasant - about 25 mins - and coming back I went across country. My appointment was at 11 and I was done in plently of time to get back to the airport for a 4 pm flight. Vinnie will be able to tell you the color that is right for your skin tone. Good luck! It will be a fun time!
-
Thank you so much! That is very helpful. I'm excited to complete the process!
-
hello ladies! I'm new to this thread;) I had a DIEP bilateral last August 2013. I had revisions and then nipe recon in may. The nipples are flat and now I have more scars!!!!! Hubby said get the Vinnie ! So I'm calling tomorrow!! Hope 6-8 monthes but I'll wait a year. Has everyone had good results!?

I am scheduled for December 19th but not with Vinnie, it's with Trent who is a artist in his shop that was trained by Vinnie. Dealing with insurance to cover has been problematic. They say it's covered 100% in network but don't have a list of whose in network. They are working on authorization called in for out...pre-approval. I'm driving my CLT, NC so it's a ways right before xmas. I see there are other people who do this but clearly majority have gone to Vinnie.
-
I just stumbled on a new video of Vinnie and his work.... he's quite a guy.
-
Do you need to give the deposit at the time you make your appointment? Is it best to call or email?
-
i had to pay 400 deposit and 400 day of.
-
My appt in in NOLA in April, I had to pay $200 over the phone and the balance day of.
-
I did the same thing as jenjenl - $400.00 up front and the other $400.00 the day of the appointment. After all it's Vinnie - and thus I consider this a very wise investment.
-
So I just visited my PS for what I think is my last checkup, and got to show off my Vinnie nips. He said they were the best he's ever seen--he's the head of PS at a large urban hospital and specializes in breast reconstruction, so you have to figure that he's seen a lot of tattoos over the years. He sent in one assistant to take pics so I can join his array of nipple mug shots, and another to make sure they had Vinnie's name and location. Go, Vinny!
-
Hildy910 - That's great feedback. Thanks for sharing! I'm so excited for my Vinny's. I'm scheduled for October 27 in MD with Vinny. Soooo ready for this final touch

Vinnie,
Please come to Charleston! It's so beautiful here for a girl's getaway weekend for tats!
I'm kidding -- sorta'. 😊🌴🐚🐬🌊🌅
Thanks for helping us with your caring and awesome talent!
Hope to someday make it to Finksburg.

Yes Vinnie I agree with Pinkheart, we could set up a little shop in a hotel room for you...hehe. I had my tattoo done in March but it has faded and I am in need of a touch up. Any chance Vinnie you are going to the Tattoo convention in Seattle this weekend? Let me know, I would happy to me your model -
Hildy910 - are you on the pic forum? The ladies and myself on there would love to see his work. 3 or 4 of us are scheduled with Vinnie for next year so we have a bit of a wait.....
-
Hi MereMere,
I am not on the picture forum, unfortunately. Have you checked out his portfolio on his website? There are tons of examples there...
