Here's the list from STFU as an example. Where it's not complete info wasn't sent to me i.e treatment was in people's bio. The treatment section in the list _intent was to keep track of things when people were in active treatment. PG 175 of STFU

Yes I keep the ceiling fan on medium always even during the winter. Sometimes on high. (Why do they even have a low speed?) Also have a box fan for extreme times. Neighbor has a pack of dogs kenneled just across the creek. They have not been bothering me lately but some nights they have been terrible. Traffic does not bother me at all. We used to live in Ft. Worth on the Loop around the city - 2nd house from the access road. Helicopters/police you name in all night long.
And yet weirdly I do no like air blowing on me. PTL hot flashes - except one in the morning just after I awaken that I think is more related to circadian rhythm thing - have never been a problem. Went thru natural meno. with nary a one.
Sassy - there is a way to leave contact info in registration data? Don't remember that but I prob. would not have done it then but would certainly update it now if possible. Do you know? I know someone else banned a good while ago prob. nearly 2 years ago and it was common knowledge at the time that she was banned. I know who but don't remember what thread. Didn't know that there was potential ban for contact with "banee".
Missing Nicky even though had only brief relationship with her. She's another missing. Also Chabba.
2TA - doing hospice I would hop in the car and hop on the phone. It was routine. DH knows about BCO family but no clue how to get on. Never been on a thread that does a rollcall. We had Mother's day check-in on my "yearly" thread.
-
Maddy would love a chat. Thanks for the link to the Mods thread. It will help everyone decide whats best for us all. Personally, I chose the route for info to people here. DS Has my info here and a logon for himself as a family member of a member. He checks up on me every once and awhile to see how I'm doing. It was a hoot when he was in the middle of closing on the house. there was a bank SNAFU. I'd taken a bed day. Phones off. He came here looking for me cuz he needed me right now. HMMM
Jwoo looking at the STFU list lots of info incomplete, but was updated routinely. Just this list even with all the absent info was allot of work. I C&P'd every 20 days or so. i started the list after RED went MIA and no one had any info for her. Then she was tracked done. She had passed. It was very distressing.
-
My gosh - lots of people on there. Many just not on this list. Some not around at all - CMBernardi (Flowers) for one. Some I don't recognize and I lurk on lots of lists.
-
ok so I am lost again lol recalls?
2nd time I miss Nicky too
Also another girl Tessa, but I have Tessa # and I know she is ok
Humm my sisters know about this site but never been on it. I will ask one of them to keep my info to come here and tell u if anything goes wrong. I
-
sas...wow, I am so confused..easy to do..lol I pm'd jwoo all,my info. I will send to you to...that's the only thing I understand right now..ha ha
-
Littlegoats-Flowers relocated to texas, got a new job, and moved on. BUT I have her phone number. Looking for it now I'll call her if you like and see if it's okay to give it to you?
-
goate
I have a ceiling fan going full blast too. This small fan , about 12" square goes year round primarily for white noise. In winter it's not blowing on me, but I hear it. Out like a light.
-
Susan I am with you lol I will do the same
since I have no family in this country lol
-
LMG that was a problem with the list. As I said earlier some people choose not to give information. Each time I updated it and moved it forward, I would announce that I was updating and if info needed added please Pm me. What was great about the list was to be able to recognize who was who. Great for newbies to the thread. In looking at the list, not sure why I didn't have some names as me as their contact. Like flowers?
I already left a message on her recorder
Enerva ROLL CALL-------Lol. I think it's originally a military term. Used to take attendance or establish presence.
Susan would love to have your info, but with my PM'ing limitations I think Jwoo will have to be central to organizing it. There is allot of PM work with doing the list. But she has an example of how it can be done. Only contact is kept public. The list keeper---has all the info at their home. I had only members phone numbers, didn't have emergency contact. Jwoo's thread is a good guide as to what info is needed.
Jwoo what do you think. I looked at the Central Address Book thread that Nowheregirl is keeping. I would also suggest that two people be keepers of the list info, in case one goes MIA. i.e like my banning.
-
oh SAS you were do right about the rfa. Blown away by your knowledge. Thanks.
I am kinda lost about the contact info but ism sure you guys will figure it out. I def want to give my info. Dh probsbly wouldn't mind posting a message here but this is where I let my private feelings out. Not sure I want him or anyone else in my family reading all my posts.
-
oh lol ok
I am back at the lake again recharging my batteries lol
-
enerva. Always love your pics. I could set and look thru the rocks for hours I bet. Wonderful.
-
Patty, thanks re Rfa and knowledge stuff LOL I've in recent years described I had the longest Internship/ Residency ever.
Started as a nursing assistant at 18. Then nursing school from 21-24. After graduation until relieved because of brain tumor I've worked about everything except neonatal and peds. Love learning and research. Just with researching stuff for Nettie I learned a bunch more stuff that I didn't know. For example. Scoliosis--I knew stuff, but to verify what I knew and to see what was new, I ended up learning lots. Not just applicable to Nettie , but for myself too. Now "banked" for future questions.
Patty, there's away to keep it private from friends and family. You keep the info in a sealed envelope that you have directions on how to use.
I had my son register, but that was my choice. It's also, DS's choice if he wants to check and see how I'm doing. LOL he'll have to put up with info about DBF.
-
Susan I tried something I haven't done before. I printed off your info. If I were the list keeper I'd do a ring binder with 3 hole punch.
Jwoo, BTW that first person that responded to your thread, wasn't very nice.
-
Howdie gals! Okay, the list thing.... I know a lot of the gals have left, for one reason or another, and maybe they just quit posting? Or move on to other threads... I think we pretty much know who we all are.... And can get ahold of someone if we need to, like when I was in the Hospital Sass, and I had my DD get onto my email account, and give me the phone numbers, so I could call you and Cammi, and I had Jackie's number too...
Oh damn, my hearing aid battery just went out! It's been "beeping" for 2 days, TELLing me it is getting low, so it just gave up!
I just want all you guys to stay HERE and never leave! I get to "know" you , and it's so good that you can talk to us here, even when you can't blab about it all to your family.
SOMEtimes that's good...... oh wait....... I'm trying to think of a time when I could tell my DH the things I tell YOU guys....... and I can't think of any....
Cammi, and I are usually busy talking about nothing.... or she is making fun of me falling off that pole when I was dancing.... and that's how I broke my hip. It's true....
So now I have to take it easy..... Ha, ha! THAT is such a funny idea! And I sometimes watch the neighbor's chickens..... ! That's a whold 'nother story! They all make fun of THAT job too! Cammi says I steal the hen's babies.... no..... I eat them!
So we just have fun....
I've been painting, but came in because it is so damn hot out there!!!! I mean I could FRY one of those eggs on the flag-stone!
Sassy, that's all a good idea, but I'm the oldest one HERE..... or probably ANYwhere, and if I gave my DH a list of my contacts, he would think I was nuts! Besides he knows about as much about a computer as he does milking a cow.... He can overhaul an engine, but not work the micro-wave! OR the automatic washer..... not to mention the Dryer..... But it's almost 57 years for us.... so what he can't or don't do, I just do it myself. He does the same for me.... like brings me a little bowl of ice-cream when we are watching TV.
I don't know why I got started on this..... shut up Cammi.... xoxoxoxoxo
-
chevy I was waiting for you to make me smile today ha ha ha soo good you came inside to post. I can imagine how hot it must be where u are. I envy you. Here is nice today so I went for a battery recharge under the sun as usual lol
Love how your Dh brings you ice cream lol
😁

Chevy ROTFLOL --------give it to your DD

Thinking of FBB and her family this morning...
~ ~ ~
2TA - Love the story of your parents' marriage and anniversary... I hope Dad gets to at least go see his bride and give her the flowers. My MIL passed in January.... in June, she and FIL would have celebrated their 72nd anniversary. I told Dad that Mom would be celebrating right along with him, but just in another room (Heaven). We made sure to send a special card to him and spend some time with him that day. You are such a thoughtful, sensitive daughter... you will never, EVER, regret the time you have spent making your parents' last years as good as they could be, given the circumstances.
~ ~ ~
JWoo - that's a wonderful idea you have, and I would have loved to have been your helper. I've done a lot of that kind of record-keeping. But it seems this head injury has taken a bigger toll than I imagined. All my "attention to detail" and "multi-tasking" ability is gone.
-
Oh mY Gosh! I am back on page 509!! Just wanted to pop in and say hello! HELLO!! Been kinda busy and spending some time in the rabbit hole too so I have been AWOL for a while. You all talk to much to keep up thru email updates. My phone would never stop dinging!! So I haven't a clue what is going on with anyone! Sorry bout that....................
Hope you all are doing well. School starts a week from Monday and then maybe I can ketchup!!
Hugs and prayers are always out there for you girls though, even when I am MIA!!
-
Hello Sweet Owlettes!!!
It's been five weeks since the big smack and subsequent concussion....
My short-term memory still sucks, and I have to ask DH what day and date it is, and whether or not I have any appointments that day. I do have my own calendar, but I forget to look at it.
I took off my glasses and put them on the nightstand the other night, then looked and them and thought "Oh, how cute! I wonder whose.... OH!"
The insurance company from the resort called - finally - after over a month. After talking to me, I'm sure the adjuster had no problem believing she was talking to a person with a head injury. I kept asking her to repeat everything she said. It took about ten minutes to get her email address right.
I ran into a former nurse friend who was very concerned that I wasn't getting better. She made me promise to ask my doc for a CT scan or an MRI in case there was a blood clot or other complication. I sent an email to the doc, asking for her advice. No answer yet.
In the meantime, I have no other symptoms, as you would expect were something serious going on. No headache, no nausea, no vomiting. Still unsteady and using my cane, so no exercising for me. Still sleeping 10-12 hours a night and taking some naps.
I think my doc may be out sick - there's a bunch of nasty viruses going around and she has two babies at home. I'll call the office later on and ask.
Other than that, I lurk when I can...
Welcoming newbies, and keeping y'all in my prayers!!!
xoxoxo
-
Blessings, Doesn't not recognizing your own glasses qualify as something serious? I had to laugh. I've been in a similar state due to getting up in the night to feed bottle baby kittens. They went to another foster parent last night and we're getting some zzzzzzzs before another batch comes in.
-
Blessings! WTH? I mean your DOC is "sick" ???? But tell that lame brain, that YOU are even sicker! That YOU have issues! He thinks HE is sick? He don't know sick!
Isn't that the way it always it? I mean you say something to someone about your how your head is jangled, and they say, "yes, but once I had a head-ache so I know how you feel! Best to just keep it to yourself.
If your head is like my head, after a concussion, it will usually get better.... might take awhile, but things will begin to make sense....
THEN you might forget MORE things, but it's okay..... SOME things are just better not remembered....
I don't think they even had CT scans.... or anything when I was 15.... They just figured I was nuts anyway.... that I would come to my senses sooner or later.
And I did, but forgot the rest of my growing up.... all my school years.... If you can remember some "things" that is good! Okay, go get checked out.... I've done all I can...... which isn't much.
Hi 4444444444! Where you been girl? I miss your pictures of scantily clad ummmmmm.... men.... YES Cammi, I remember what those are!
And LilShit! We lost her too! See? Some gals just go off on their own.... And VINNIE! I think he must be somewhere!
No Sass, can't have my family with any list.... at least to this thread.... Ha! I talk about too many of them..........
-
Chevy, Do you have passwords to other sites like banking? Mutual funds? Important stuff? who and how do you have it fixed that someone has access?
New thrift find. Import Associates, Claudia pattern--wine glass 9.99 ea
http://www.replacements.com/webquote/IMALA.htm
my thrift cost 37 cents a piece for 9---3.37 $
An old thrift find was Cambridge, Stradivari pattern--Champagne/tall sherbert . Now 7.99 at R.com, was higher, but has dropped in price.
http://www.replacements.com/webquote/CAMREG.htm#48...
my thrift coast was 1.00$ a piece for 9---9.00$
Ds got Morgantown, Golfball pattern for Mother's day He bought them at antique store. 4 wine 4 liquor --he did well. Coaxed the price out of him because the cost on R.com is huge
http://www.replacements.com/webquote/MORGOLB.htm#4...
GolfGirl, thought of you when I located the name of the pattern. Hope you had a wonderful day on the course with a bluebird on your shoulder.
-
Gosh what a great place to shop FL must be. Is it all the retirees? Love 1st pattern. Goes with anything. Too hot to shop much. I made it to grocery and back. Have oddly one sided scratchy hurty throat. Red from what I can see in mirror. Only person I've been around is DH since Sunday. Sure feels like making of a cold and I haven't had one in at least a year. No DD visit this weekend. Prob. a good thing.
Blessings - I hope you hear back from doc soon. Love the name "the big smack" though don't love the damage it's done to you.
Hi 4Sew. Gosh kids going back to school already. And I know it ain't cool in GA.
-
LMG---centuries old gargle recipe. Find a storage bottle with a cork. Fill with cider vinegar. Empty into sauce pan. Cover bottom of sauce pan with salt. Cover salt with red pepper seeds. Boil for several minutes. Let cool. Strain into bottle. Keeps in frig forever. USE: Gargle at onset of sore throat. Tastes horrible. Rinse foremouth(tongue and teeth area) after gargle to get rid of taste. Repeat every 15-30 minutes for a couple of hours. Area that bacteria is trying to set up housekeeping will feel like it's burning. That's a good thing. Won't work on old sore throat.
-
For all you owlettes, a big hello from Snuggs and Annie Mae. Sending you hugs...
-
ohhhhh thanks for the pictures, she looks much better hope she is not longer in any pain.
-
Hi everyone----I've been a little busy today and very tired and my boss came by and brought me my iced coffee for tomorrow morning. Got him trained.
Mommaray it's all right whatever u feel, their are so many feelings to go thru and each one takes it's time, just don't get to sad that's all.
BTW my kids know all about BCO and they have a few ladies on FB, yes my DD's do--Brats.
Enerva I love the pics of u walks--so peacefully pretty.
Blessings I don't know anything, u do know that, but I would call u'r Dr. anyway and see his sidekick Tonto if u have to just maybe u need another test.
Chevy when u were 15 I don't even know if they had electricity yet, but guessing they might have, well u did say u are the oldest sooo I think they did have cars--so u could have had an x-ray or did they know about brains then? I've very confused time is a matter I don't think of much anymore just hoping I hve lot left.
-
well it's mid night here in Canada 🍁 and I am just staring at the ceiling as usual lol hope you all have a great weekend .
Mommary I hear you, I have been in that place too ,somehow it will pass and you will pull yourself up again.
Time is the only friend we have, with time we do get pass all of it.
Sending you strength and hugs
I am starting to get anxious about my exchange surgery. I wish it was sooner. End of august seams so far away.
