JWOO, I saw your painting for Blue on her thread. Take a leap of faith and send it

I am stunners..rest in peace FBB...she is flying free now..so sad for her family. The picture of her daughter...young..I was guessing 4 th or 5 th grade..so sad for the. My heart is breaking for the family. I too thought she had more time. We were emailing back and forth, and I sent her a card last week, and a present out yesterday
. I hope her hubby can use the present. It was sent to me awhile ago and I forwarded it to her thinking she needed it more than me. It is a "dammit doll" you r suppose to beat it against something and beat the stuffing out of it to feel better. It comes with instructions. Hope they receive it well...don't want to cause them anymore pain....
Ohhhhhh I am so so sad...to young to quick, and a lovely lovely person.
-
This news about FBB just has me reeling! It really hits me hard as she was TN as am I!! Just sends the fears through the roof for me!!
So so sad for her family, it's just not fair, none of this chit is fair! I'm sad and angry!!!
After hearing this news and with all the aches and pains going on with me right now, I am going to try to take a few days off!! I need my mind to clear a bit!! I will try to keep up with Sas if she has answers for me! Sas, I'm going to PM you my email address, if you could copy and paste your answer to an email also during this time I would appreciate it, I don't mean to be difficult, but this and some other things going on in my family just have me in a funk and I need a break!!
Love you all!!
-
I am completely stunned and devastated by this. Just got on this morning and see this, I'm crying thinking of FBB. I thought she had more time too.Thinnking of her family. Hoping she is at peace now and no more pain.
-
Lots of tears this morning for our FBB....such a beautiful soul. So encouraging and sweet. I will miss her so much. I just got her address from Holeinone a few days go to send her card. I feel so sad. Way too young. Her life cut short by this f#%^**^ disease.... Fly free BlueBird........
-
Nettie, I understand, I am very upset, and also like you say it send us all to fear
I worry too but I also know that only in this site I connected with people who really get what I am now, what I fear, what I think. I do pull away sometimes. It helps
Now going to my walk I really need to let out some anger with those poles.
Sending you all hugs.
I ll stop by a lady whom I gave a bird feeder a few weeks ago. I need to sit in her garden for a few minutes and just watch the wild birds feed away.
Later alligator 🐊
-
So sorry to hear this news, I didn't get to know her, but she was way to young and I'm sending hugs to all of you and prayers for her family. RIP Bluebird

Here is a photo of the fancy country club that I am playing in a 3 day tournament, starting today. It will be exhausting. There are deer on the golf course, birds of all sorts, the river. I will keep Kristine & her family in my thoughts.
Jwoo, I enjoyed that song....I will listen to it again.
-
-
Sas, you don't think it would cause more sadness? i know they must be torn apart.
-
Jwoo, just my thought that they may appreciate you took your time to paint something so beautiful for Kristine. I would feel honored if someone did that for a loved one.
I mailed this out the other day:
-
ok I went to my friends house, no one was there so I let myself in to the back yard, (they allow me to do so) I then filled up the bird feeder I brought a new huge bag of food for the feeder. I sat there and watch the birds so happy with my feeder lol I took a few pictures of there garden and my bird feeder lol I also left my also plant there for them I thinking will survive better in their care. It was big and beautiful and the one day temperature went down and I forgot to take her in next day she was dead, it broke my heart but sure enough two small ones started room grow so gave it to my dear friends. Then I went to to the lake for my usual pole walk. Here are a few pictures
I had fbb in my mind wile I watch these birds eat away. They have a little nest too. My friends are an older couple Italians they are very good to me, they give me vegetables from their garden during summer lol
HOLEINONE good luck on the tournament
Chevy look at this garden
I can't wait for their grapes to be ready lol
-
Fly free sweet Bluebird.
Second Angel this week.
-
I have read thru here and on the Movin' On thread this morning. I'm just devastated by the loss of our Fierce One Kristine. I read this early this morning and am just now somewhat able to post.
Thank you Nihahi for letting us know about our friend. I will miss her wit and spunkiness. May God have welcomed her with open arms and I treasure the day I will meet her again. I believe in a heaven with no pain and utter happiness and to me that means she will have the dogs, goats, horses, bunnies, chickens anything that brings happiness eternally.
There is nothing wrong with Kristine's death reminding us of our own mortality. One more reason to make today and every day special. I'm going to try to do something to honor that today in her memory.
I think Enerva it's high time I get my feeders filled up. Heat index be damned I'm going out there right now. Beautiful garden. BTW I did the same thing with a plant I had. It was dead and it sat outside all winter. Sure enough it has lovely leaves coming up from the tubers.
-
Enerva that was a lovely way to spend ur time today, it looks so pretty and peaceful--and leave it to Italians to have grapes.
-
I am stunned and heartbroken, but like luvmygoats, I have the same vision of Heaven as a place of no more sorrow, no more pain, and eternal happiness with loved ones. Rest in peace, Sweet FierceBlueBird. I am hearing the words to "I'll Fly Away" in my head.
JWoo - I think that one of the things we all want is to know that somehow, in some way, we made a difference on this earth. FBB certainly did that to us.... she changed us, and for the better. If she inspired you to create a beautiful painting, then I think her family would cherish it if you were to send it to them. After someone you love passes, it is absolutely wondrous to see how many strangers were affected by their life.
-
ha ha ha Cami yes, they are 82 and 80 year old Italians and they are so wonderful people.I fear a lot cuz they are older but I see they are still healthy they do their garden and vegetables lol so sweet, they are very funny too. I left a diclofenac spray for him cuz he has artritis in one shoulder. Last week he saw a specialist and I was so scare. Next time I went to ask what the specialist said. He told me he need to exercise and if That doesn't help then he ll need pain killers. Knowing them he won't take pain killers and will not exercise either he is very fragile as it is. Lol they are a friend of mine parents. You know btw I try to keep I'm touch cuz my friend is very careless and sometimes I ask about them and he says oh they are ok. But he is never really there to see how things are. I guess I just want them to be there at their home for ever lol don't want anything to happen to those two
-
Talk to you gals in the morning....xoxoxoxo
-
Jwoo you are a wordsmith when you want to be sweetie. The painting may cause tears when you explain the meaning of the Bluebird. It seems to me the oriental motif has significance i.e. the branch and berries? Put your words in an envelope taped to the back so that the letter or card can be removed without the envelope coming off, and the card can be removed often and read. One of those envelopes with the metal things?
The "provenace" will remain with it for ever. You might try to see if there are two kids and do one for each. Between your words and the painting, they'll be treasured. Plus, if you wait approximately 3 weeks before sending, the initial shock will be tamed. Yeah, I think it would be a very good thing.
FBB may have told us in the beginning why she chose Bluebird. She went to FBB when she got the brain cancer dx. Also, her name of her farm which she used for email is bluebirdacrefarm . Bluebird Acre Farm. The bird was very strongly in her life. HUGS
EDIT:Scrolled back, and FBB first post here was on Feb 2nd on page 270, but she'd been on her other threads. I know there was a discussion of bluebirds. If your up to it maybe scrolling after that will give you some words to use in your letter. I went through my PM's which started feb 9th. And didn't find anything. EXCEPT that her son is in highschool and was having a tough go of it i.e change in grades and attitude. Offered DS with Ds's aggreement as an outside mentor who'd been a son with two parents in the same situation. That was the only time we discussed kids. Hole-in-one or the gal that notified us may know more about the kids. Or later posts she may have mentioned.
-
If you read Fierce's FB page she loved Shiba Inu dogs so oriental motif is perfect. That is the breed of dog in the canoe with her - hard to believe only July 4th. I have a feeling Brie and Brett are her children.
You are right, I can't remember what she used for a name in the beginning nor when the switch was made. But she did tell us why.
I did get the one feeder filled up. I think I had posted we have had more bluebirds this year than I have ever seen, even 1 in my backyard. I see them out front freq. esp on the fenceline. Don't know what has done that, maybe they are feasting (hope fingers crossed) on those grasshoppers.
BTW Sassy the Ortho Home Defense (.05% Bifenthrin .0125% Zeta-Cypermethrin) has stopped the scorpion invasion and is doing in the giant flying beetles on the back porch. The lady that sold us the hay suggested this from Tractor Supply which was out of supply so we went with another brand. All DH did was spray along some of the foundation line where he suspected they were coming in.
Cami - I have wild grapevines - no grapes birds eat them. Does that make me Italian? Just kidding. Haven't had that wine yet - maybe tonight.
-
LMG--it was definitelt Bluebird. Then changed to FierceBluebird after the brain surgery.
Glad the bug stuff is working, scorpions --uh-uh no way their gone (smiling)
-
Thanks ladies. I will send it on, but later as Sas suggested. That will give me time to process, and find the right words to say. I sent a friend request to her FB, hoping that her family will keep it as a memorial page. I am just in shock, really did not expect her to go, and certainly not so fast.
-
Crap...I don't even know what to say. my thought are with her family. This is so distressing.
-
Hope this is consoling versus upsetting. FBB signed her last post here as Kristine, that was a first. She shared her name in PM's, but not publicaly. Plus, when I got her address in our last call the day before she went in for her last hospital stay, her address wasn't for the public. GolfGirl got her address very shortly after and it was to be shared by PM. Both were a step different in a very short time.
FB(facebook) is different. Point is I think she knew. She wanted all of us to know her by her real name and be damned with anonymity.
Jwoo you'll find the words when you are ready
Hugs for everyone sassy
-
Too young and too sad.
-
Smaarty, beautiful photo...
-
Ladies- what do you think about having 1 or 2 of us gathering real contact info so that we can communicate in case something happens? I am willing to keep a database if that sounds like something that ppl are interested in.
-
I'm fine with that jwoo. I understand, when SAS disappeared we were all worried.
-
I'm good with that too. I've been really wrecked over this today...thinking about her family and how young she was. She was a bright spot here.sas-i think you are right...she knew.
-
Jwoo, I think that's a fine idea, those who are not comfortable, can choose to sit out.
I love that Kristine was open & very honest these last 2 weeks. I truly believe we cannot predict our own behavior until we are living it. She set the bar high with her personality.
She said in her email that she gained strength from us, and loved us all.
Like all of you, she has been in my constant thought process today.
Hugs to all, thanks for being in my life and letting me be in yours....
