tang, yikes, keeping fingers crossed that's it's a false alarm.
-
...and, tang, that all the tests have the same results

Maddy, well that would work out okay then. Whew. it's a reality. If he would prefer her not to recognize him, make all visits late afternoon. Avoid early morning viists like the plague. Never bring up the fact that some evn late stage AL's have some lucidity early am.
Worked in reverse for my DH's last visit home before his mom passed. I knew what we have just exchanged here. DH visited her three afternoons in a row. Was upset that his Mom didn't recognize him. The fourth morning I woke evryone at 6 am, called ahead to the AL unit and said we'd be there for a last visit on the way to the airport. She was lucid. She treated everyone wonderful and turned to me --glared and said something awful. But she treated me that way our entire marriage. She was wonderful to my entire family during many gatherings. Dh mentioned this many times over the next years. Always thanking me for being able to talk to his Mom.
Tang, wow or ow. We're with you

Holy smokes, Tang, holding my breath with you tonight. ((hugs))

Thanks 2nd time around. I have experience with the whole dementia thing, dealing with it with my MIL for awhile. It is very difficult, we didn't do the no visit thing, but limited our visits to when she was engaged in other activities and only stayed a short time, didn't want her to feel we just left her, but either way it was very stressful and she was very angry with us for awhile. She is doing great several months later. Best of luck to your family and to you. Stephanie

Smarrty, great quilt. I did one bargello needlepoint. Your work was opposite of needlepoint. Yours is much more work. needlepoint instead of every hole, it's very long stitches. Works up very fast. Your colors are fantastic.
A story: that bargello needlepoint was of a swamp. It was hanging by the front door in florida. I was walking towards the door. I see a white toad on the frame. Instead of my artistic or science side coming forward by taking a pic, I ekked and threw it out the front door. Only later did I realize the toad/frog saw it as a swamp. Pretty cool critic.

Just finished reading..
Hugs to you FBB and others who are hurting or waiting.
I've been in a funk. Had a rough two days. Hurting so bad in my back I've been nauseated, but finally got relief just in time to baby sit....
Had a good time but now i am tired.
-
I'm so sleepy, but trying to stay awake to feed the kittens at 11pm so we can sleep until 6:30-7am. I took a nap yesterday. It was probably a mistake because I had an awful nightmare last night and it took me over an hour to get back to sleep. I feel like someone has stuffed cotton around my brain, preventing it from working. I have ADD and this is making it many times worse. For example I sent my book club an email saying it was meeting next Sunday the 27th. Today I sent another one because it's really meeting Saturday the 26th. I'm really hoping the woman who said she'd take the kittens really does. Then I can get some good sleep and be ready for the next bunch.
Hugs to all.

2TA - I thought the same thing. "Short"??? Guess I don't know how to do that.

Sending comfort hugs to all our Owlettes out there...

Oh, wait, this is cuter...

Cute pics Blessings. I was wondering why you are up so late. Then I saw where you're from
-
Hello everyone---I knew I'd be up during the nite, now I'll be all screwed up today, well worse than usual.
Dutch it's nice to see u, u'r not on here often enough.
Nettie u'r babies are beautiful, as u r too, and I don't blame u for being tired. They're still tiny and u'r still going thru things.
Blessings I hope u'r doing all right.
Blondie I'm sorry about u'r breathing---I know this is a stupid ???, but did they ever figure it out. It started during chemo and I don't remember ever hearing an answer.
Smaarty I think I forgot to mention u'r quilt , it's amazing. I don't think some of u realize u make things look so easy to do, and some of us (me) can't do a damn thing. I've tried a lot of things only to hear u've got to be kidding. Well I remember when I was young (yes I was) and the nuns used to say everyone has a talent for something and u have to find it and enjoy it. Well to this day I have not found anything that I do well--NOTHING, but I've excepted that so it doesn't bother me anymore.
My SIL bought me Starbucks last nite, so I put it in the fridge so I'll have iced coff in a few hrs. Yummy and it's going to be hot tomorrow and the next week I hear. Joey gives me the weather report. We had another nice evening last nite he came in sat down put his arm around me and I put my head on his should and we talked about life and things. I love those times, well almost every nite but I love everytime. LOL
OK I'll stop babbling now.
-
Nice pic of you Nettie with the kids.
Love the cat hug pic blessings.
Sorry you're not able to sleep Cami. It will be nice to have that iced coffee waiting for you tomorrow. How hot is it in your neck of the woods?
I am still waiting to get energy back up. Sleep screwed up because of naps during the day. Took some pain meds tonight for muscle pain. Going to try and get some sleep now.
Hope you're all sleeping well.
-
Pawprint and Cami, sorry you're both awake at this hour....
-

Chevy just watched the video and remember everything they showed, what a great video. Thanks. And I loved the music too.

Happy Sunday to all....
Nettie, your grand kiddos are beautiful .....
Smaarty, I have never heard of that pattern, or style of quilt before, nice!
Chevy, that video brought back some childhood memories, I started kindergarten in 1960...
Cami, you goof ball, you do lots of things that require all sorts of talent ! You keep us entertained, and are the apple of Joeys eyes...
Pawprint...aka BD....I might have asked this same ? Before, so sorry if I am repeating myself, is the low iron counts due to bc?
I am hoping to get the house cleaned up today, but not overdo. I golfed yesterday & then went on a ice delivery with DH. I have not a clue how he & DS do it. 14 hour days, 7 days a week. They bought this small business 2 years ago.
Tangadang, hugs for you....hope you are ok, and able to rest. Your body has been through so much, you still need to put yourself as first priority.
Reminder to all....if you would like to send our FiercestBlueBird a card, PM me for address. FBB, hope you were able to use your get out of jail card, and are home, regaining strength..
