Okay you guys, help me with this one..... She SAID he is trippin' and so is his box! That has to mean something.... and YOU guys just go on, like you understand her!!!
Is it just me? And he has nightmares and he lives on Elm street? She is living in her movie.
What is that girl taking? She CAN'T be serious, can she? I mean sometimes we just go on and ON, but man, I am baffled.... Cammi, that's like what they put in water-beds, so you don't float all over the place.
Oooooooooh that Cat is so beautiful! Yes! His legs and paws are long, because his Parents were Kangaroo's! I read that somewhere!
We love you miss BB! I have a beautiful ceramic BlueBird right out there beside St. Francis! Didn't I post a picture once? So I'll think of you everytime I see him... or her.
-
I know it's blurry, but it wouldn't "paste" like it was supposed to, so I "expanded" it, and therefore it is blurry.... Sorry littleBB... But you are THERE!
-
Okay, I figured out I would open with Chrome, instead of either IE or AOL, and I could DO it! Sometimes I just amaze myself!
-
We are walking up to our Neighbors house a little later... Taking her a few more cinnamon rolls! She is moving to the Home Monday, and so far, so good! She said she has resigned herself to the fact that she has to leave, and I think the stress of the last 6 months is getting better.......That makes me so happy! She even LOOKED better yesterday....
Okay..... signing off for now.......roger-wilco..... and good-night Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are!
-
morning, yes I love the cat too, I want to still it away lol
So soft and beautiful color. So cute his paws are dark and soft wierd like a monkey hand lol.
-

Kristine, FBB, has given me her address, for those who would like to send a card through snail mail...
Sas, you can continue with your idea, but I asked her if she was comfortable giving her address out to us and I have it. PM me if you want to send a card of support.
-
Made a huge stack of pancakes this morning. Izzy woke up around oh 730 asking, or should I say begging for them. *sigh*They're eating and I'm hiding in the bedroom with coffee hahaha!
FBB-I'm thinking of you and prayed for you after reading your post last night. I'm worried about you ((hugs))
Love the garden pics!
((hugs))
-
Yum....coffee & pancakes, sounds good. Tang, are you 5 down & 28 to go?
-
Yes I amI'm a little pink, but overall doing good physically.
-
Hole-in one, I have FBB's address, but didn't have permission to give it out, I was waiting for a call back. But she went into the hospital. This works better though b/c you aren't limited on PM's, I could only respond to 4 Pm's in 24 hours. That would take days to do with this group. Good work GolfGirl........
We will drop the idea of doing a thread for now b/c H-I-1 has gotten the problem resolved.
BLondie LOL jealous of what---Back to Per-Prius pain level (YAY), new seinna, or that I got my precious chair back after ten months. Only kidding. I know it's the pain thingy Thanks. Dumb to write about a chair, but it was one of the first really good pieces that Dh and I bought in 1975. It was brass, in the bentwood style and upholstered leather. Way prettier than the standard bentwood. I wanted to hand it down to DS. The electroplater had it for ten months. I thought it wasn't going to get returned. HOW are you doing? Lungs better. Pain? The Twins? Did you move?
Blessings hoping your heads improving. Stay out of the trash--- okay? Really nice explanation about addiction.
Chevy, you are so nice to be taking care of the neighbor. It's almost over. She will be someplace safer for her soon
Cami, I mostly always understand you, and if I don't I just feel good reading you. It all works.
Have a lovely day and weekend everyone BBL
-
So glad you managed to avoid that glass table! It was out to get you! And the chair fit, and it's almost done. Now you need another reason to go to DS.
-
good morning ladies. Glad someone had fbb address and permission to give it out. Thanks.
Hope everyone has a great day today last day of cool weather today for us. I have do enjoyed the high being in the 70's. Wow. Still having way to much pain to get out and do something but I have had the ac off and windows open. 3 more days Til rfa. Praying from relief.
Hootie hoo
-
mornimg, that cat is still a baby lol so cute and soft I just can't get over how soft he was to touch. Here is a picture of my brother s dogs they are so bonded now it's very funny
-
Chevy - I assumed Cami meant by "box" not working or whatever she meant something about his electrical. But goodness knows with Cami what she meant.
Spent yesterday shopping. Found a clothing outlet with stuff for $1.75 (goes to a $1 on Mon/Tues). Only problem is no dressing room and clothes are really not sorted much. I bought 5 pairs of capri type pants. All washed - may wear one tonight. Only 1 did not fit and I only bought it because I loved it - knew it was just a little too small. Then WallyWorld, Lowes (more bug spray) and reg. grocery here in town.
My turkey breast is about thawed - doing a bit of cold water thawing in the sink. Have to get it on to bake shortly. It's 8# the upper limit is 9# per Butterball. Want to send some home with DD when she comes today.
We are going out for Mexican Food (Pappasitos) and then to friends' house for ice cream. I have to make a blueberry topping but I don't think too difficult.
Yes Patty I too have enjoyed the cool weather. I have not seen a current lake level report - know official readings come out on Tuesdays I think. I think we're supposed to be near 100 by end of next week. Praying your rfa does its job next week.
-
I did see where some parts of Texas got too much rain waaaay to fast. Did that affect you?
Awwwww the doggies. I wish my idiots would snuggle like that!
-
patty one of the cool things about RFa is you know pretty quick whether it works versus epidurals thattake days to longer.
LMg's The Holter monitor has been pretty much surpassed by the newer monitors. I do remember when the holter was invented. LOL 1970's. We were so impressed. It came out of the space program as oodles of otherthings..... Weather here so bad thursday night that even Dini went hiding. Very rare. Schats heads for cover with everything......Did you get the hay in! Dry?
Chevy, a desktop PC may not be as useful with 8.1, but this 360 it is very good. The 360 means the screen can rotate 360 degrees. Being able to do touch screen, keypad, and mouse all simultaneously is so convenient . I know people mentioned turning the 8.0 or 8.1 back to a 7. but rather than completely doing that if you put a tile in the start screen for the desktop you can use it both ways. See I'm learning. My techbuddy did it when I had them do the setup. Didn't realize at the time what a big deal it was. I saw him insert it, but can't explain the steps to do it. Then when I went to use it, I caught on.
If I learn to do the split screen thing. That will be great. It's designed to do it. I just don't know the steps.
Enerva, sweet pics, any new pics with your handiwork? Most importantly, how are things with your sister?
FYI, Our Smarrty has started a tips type thread. She started it a bit ago and didn't tell us or I missed it. I'd link it, but on the couch. YOOHOO SMARRTY, can you C&P your link here?
-
Spookie - We got about 2" of rain. But NE and due N of us 30 miles or so got 8-9" then up towards the OK/TX line they had around 11" all in about 5-6 hours. Good for some lake levels but some NW still hurting. Lots of flooding but not in the cities, more rural.
Enerva, I love the smaller pinkish doggie.
-
12 pages behind (!!!) but finally caught up. I did read 300+ posts and while I can't remember exactly what everyone said, I do know some need ((hugs))..
Someone asked how to respond to rude personal questions. My fave answer is a classic old-South response (TY otter): "Hon, bless your heart ... what would make you go and ask me a personal question like that?".
Susan, loved the tomato pix. I'm about 4 hours from Chicago, it's only a half-tank of gas there and back, so would drive to meet you (and anyone else in the area!) some Sat/Sun. The Art Institute is open daily from 10:30 to 5:00.
♥ to all

Good morning, Owlettes! At least it's still morning here.
Sassy, is this the thread you're thinking of? The one Smaarty started?
https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/6/topic/8...
Enerva, what sweet dogs!
Glad someone has FBB's address. My first DX got lots of cards and notes (remember, this was 1996, in the dark ages before Internet), put them in a binder. During that first year good read thru to cheer me up, it really helped.
-
oh ladies me here trying to keep up with the tread lol
Sister is ok but having still lots of pain and she says her arm too is in pain which worry me due to her nodes. I keep telling her it's normal cuz i was in pain for so long but in side I worry. I can't wait for the pathology report. I also told her even if the report is bad we will then need ct scans. I just fear that she is already thinking the worse. Her implants are still very high so she crys and she feel ugly, I tell her it will go down admit ll look beautiful. I honestly wish none of us have to deal with this process.
My brother s dogs are just adorable, they care for each other it's very cute in deed.
-
Oh Badger, when a Southerner starts with "why bless your heart......." You are gonna get it! 6 ways from Sunday most likely!
Enerva, what kind is the big long haired one? A Belgian Trevuen?
-
Thank you Badger and Spookie --I've lived in Florida for 22 years and never heard that "well, bless your heart etc. ----VERY on mark LOL.
Maddy, yes that was Smarrty's thread. Thanks. I was flat on my back when I posted it was too hard to C&P. Ah such laziness, but love to be able to move where ever I want with this 360. Falling in love with my computer.
Blessings I realized I have a new addiction. Glass. I've got the cupboards full. The car has about 6 bags from three days ago. Ds rolls his eyes when I try to give him more. Yesterday, I just had to stop at my SPCA thrift even though I'd been on the road for a total of 3 1/2 hours. I suppose it's okay. I can look at it as I'm saving the glass from oblivion.
-
Short post today.... DH had either a horrible reaction to going from 2.5 mg Prednisone to 40 mg Predinisone on Thursday, or else there was a "Perfect Storm" of conditions that let him to throwing up all night and all morning yesterday.
Fortunately, he was already sleeping in The Snoring Room, and I am totally OCD about germs. Everything got Lysol-sprayed and Clorox-wiped, and we both wore masks.
I spoke to his Nephrologist and we determined that it wasn't kidney failure, but most likely a nasty virus. (This is a guy who is NEVER sick, despite his non-existent immune system!)
No fever, no abdominal pain, no diarrhea.... I asked her for (and got) a scrip for phenergan suppositories, but fortunately he stopped vomiting after 8 hours. Got him on the "one teaspoon, two teaspoons" guide to hydration (if it stays down, you get more, if not, you go to the ER for IV hydration.)
He finally got up and showered... felt better, said he hadn't been that sick for 20 years. I fixed him a lovely dinner of 1/2 cup of chicken broth and 2 Pedialyte popsicles, and a glass of water to sip. It all stayed down. YAY!
This morning he is better, but I think he went back to bed. I'm closeted away in the Hobby Room where my computer is, with all the doors shut.
Guess my brain is getting better! Did o.k. with yesterday's emergency...
Have been lurking here, not up to posting much.
Why do I keep having the thought "I wish I had the agility to pee on my beard!" ?
Was it something that LMG said about her goats? And Enerva - if you DO steal that kitty, please send it to me. It would make me very happy.
Ladies - keep on keepin' on. What an awesome group this is, that we can come here and just BE. No judgment, no snarkiness, just love and support.
Sending out extra love and support to all these days.... we have some big challenges going on, from what I have read. Sending up BIG prayers for those in need right now.

Ok, found my notes when I was trying to play catch up. Some of this may be old, some new. Apologies for anyone I left out, what's intentional, got zapped somehow.
Been trying to catch up
on almost 10 pages. I can't begin to thank you all for all your hugs, love,
prayers and kind words.I missed the brew-ha-ha
about someone not answering someone else. If it was me at fault, so sorry I've
been preoccupied. Has this all been settled?Smaarty, Bradley is so
adorable! Any new photos?Jwoo, is it you that's
into vintage? Do you collect wooden spools of thread? I found a couple in mom's
things, had almost forgotten about them.Chevy, what's happening
with your neighbor? Have you been stopping by to see her?Tang, how did the rads
go? Never did that, so I can only offer support to you. Tang, thanks for
sharing the photo of beautiful you and your DD! About period returning after
chemo: they returned after a while, not regularly for a couple years, then
abruptly stopped.Pawprint, how are the
iron infusions coming along? Are you having any more energy? Your new app
sounds like it could be fun to mess with... Saw this on FB and thought of Annie

http://blog.theanimalrescuesite.com/eyeless-cat-r...Regarding
stolen/mistaken cars: I have a popular car, popular color. I remember once
trying my remote and the car didn't open, figured the battery might have
problems. Started using the key in the door, someone came up from behind
inquiring why I was trying to get into his car, Oops, my car was one aisle
over. He was nice when I explain my error (I don't think I look like a car
thief).Welcome 3TN! Hope you
come back here often. Feel free to jump in and stay around, really nice ladies.Patty, sorry your
numbers are upEnerva, gorgeous curls!
Great sailing pix! Looks like so much fun! Adorable dogs, those blue eyes are so prettyChevy, thanks
Susan, tomato throw
– sounds like it would be fun, would need goggles, though (to protect hard
contacts). Really enjoyed your pix, thanks for sharing!Sassy,
thanks for your explanation. Yes, the
geriatric specialist explained how the UTI probably brought on the
incontinence, meanness and other behaviors. However, she also has the
Sundowning behaviors (are you familiar to that? Drastic negative behaviors
about 5-6 pm (typical of evening darkness starting). We've been leaving mom at
the community memory care unit for a couple hours a week - she's surprised how
quickly mom is regressing. Mom has suddenly taken to cursing a lot (she really
never cursed before), she's very mean, and if you lightly touch her (like touch
her arm) she started screaming that we're hurting her and trying to kill her.
Rather disturbingNow, more about mom. Dad and I moved her into the new
facility on Monday. I set up her room (we have her sharing a room, at least for
now, too afraid she couldn't handle being totally alone, not to mention it's a
bit less expensive. Dad was so numb to it all, especially when they told him
they really wanted her not to have visitors for two weeks (they had originally
told us we could come anytime even they preferred daylight hour visits so she
could establish a good night time/sleep routine). That just about killed him.
He was a total basket case Monday but I urged him to go to the dining hall even
if he didn't eat much since I was there (first time he went without Mom). Both
he and I had informed the local "den mother" who spread the word
about mom so people weren't shocked mo wasn't there. Everyone's so kind to him,
I know he'll eat alone. That night was difficult for him, but I think he got
some sleep. For the first time ever since they moved in there, I set up the
towel sets, bath mats, even toilet paper out. So different from when mom was
there. Dad and I went shopping Tuesday morning, I think he really enjoyed, a
cousin dropped by on his way from Palm Springs, we want to dinner again. I came
home Tuesday night and I think he's doing pretty well on his own. I know he
can't wait to see mom.Someone was talking about black scuff marks. Magic Eraser
works really well on them.Blessings, glad DH is feeling a bit better, you must be too
if you’re posting. Please continue to nurture yourself. That was a short post? -
maddy, there wasn't a brewhaha. about missing posts. Wish I'd never written that post. Another good intention gone bad. Another lesson. This thread moves so fast, it's hard to keep up. Add to that memory issues. I can't wait until I can figure out how to make this computer do a split screen. I think for me at least it will be easier. I read about it in the tutorial, but can't locate it again.
Yup had a few sundowners in 40 years. Glad to see the advances over the decades. Much more civilized. Thinking of you and M&D. Might talk with caseworker about the possibility that mom might not recognize you in 2 weeks. Ask her thoughts about preparing dad. I'm sure she will have an answer. This is so hard on him, the potential of her not recognizing him when he returns in 2 weeks without some preparation could be way difficult. Again the case manager has been through this often. She'll know how to do and what to say to him.
I finally found the apps I downloaded. and the preloaded ones. Saw them and swished them , but didn't pay much attention to what I was looking at. Did some study this afternoon.
-
Sassy, actually, Dad is now at the point where he hopes Mom won't recognize him (many times before she was moved she didn't recognize him even when he was in the same room or standing right next to him). That has been very painful for him. Just to be clear what he means: he knows that when she does remember him and he's not there, it will break her heart. If she can't remember him, life will be easier for her. Dad said she was already at the point where she didn't recognize herself in a mirror and got scared at the "stranger" she saw looking back at her.
Glad the newest car is working out better. Wasn't it only a week ago you were saying you were in pain from the Prius? Glad this situation got resolved and you're feeling better. Of the new glass, any treasured pieces (or worthy of posting pix)?
Now that I'm back home, I'm back to the boring life.... Snore. Went for a walk today (haven't done that in forever). Overcast today so only in the 80's and humid (for SoCal). Found that I could walk much longer and with less pain if I stayed on more level ground (the area around here is on a slight hill). Put in a leisurely 45 minutes without pain. Thinking of going up to LA tomorrow: have tickets for a new game show being taped with Craig Ferguson (of late night fame) hosting, they pair celebrities with audience members. Don't care to participate, might be a fun touristy thing to do, though (it's about an hour drive if there's no traffic). Supposedly, these are priority tickets so I can cut to the head of the line and hopefully, it will be cooler tomorrow. We'll see what happens in the next couple of hours (when I have to make a decision).
Hopefully, Owlettes are out having fun tonight!
-
well had today off from the chitty apartment! Got the kitchen finally cleaned out. For someone who didn't cook he had 10 boxes of kitchen gadgets. I'll be attacking the rest of the bathroom crap on Monday. We can't figure out how he showered or bath because both are full of stuff. Think we'll be done by the end of the week. I want my life back.
Today got to take a class, this is my version on the Bargello quilt. I'm going to see if I can find some matching fabric for the borders, I don't have any left.
This is Bradley now, 3 weeks old. He already chuckles.
Enerva, love your curls and puppy, love the blue eyes. Think he'll keep them?
Blessings, sorry about DH but glad to see you seem to be doing better.
I contacted my PS about doing the surgery in early October, he's already booked into the middle of the month. Yikes! Made an appt for Thursday. I told him I'd take a cancellation if it comes up. That happened in February. Better early than too close to the holidays. I didn't want to lose my summer but I'd take the earlier date if it comes up.
Hope you guys are enjoying the weekend.
-
Dont know where else to go with this right now, but I gotta get it out!!My oldest DD just dropped that she thinks she could be pregnant. She asked if I could lend her a few bucks until payday for a test. Holy MOLY!!! I hate to admit this, but at first I thought she could be lying so I would give her some money.
She's 21, recently broke up with a long term boyfriend and has been "hanging out" with a guy from high school. I guess "hanging out" is code for...well you know. uggg!
She's taking the tests tonight, I told her to get a couple and even one for in the morning to just double check.
*sigh*
