To Obama being our POTUS right now. He's got a cool head (they like to blah blah he is weak) and won't start WWIII over this plane incident. I can only imagine the Bobsie twins at this moment (McCain and Graham, oh and how can I forget Cheney and Kristol, John Bolton....I'm sure there are more). Bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran.

Won't there be anything for Issa "to do" here. I mean, we do need all the REALLY important people at work here, don't we ?????

Morning all. Scared for what is going on in the world. Thinking that Malaysia plane could have been from the U.S. Could something like that start a world war? A friend was recently on a cruise and visited Russia. While on one of the tours the guide said, actually said, "we are looking forward to when Estonia becomes a part of Russia again. Russians love to vacation in Estonia." The tour guide had only good things to day about Putin. My friend then went to Estonia and mentioned the russian tour guide's comments. The Estonian said they weren't worried because they were a part of NATO and NATO wouldn't let what was happening in Ukraine happen to them. My friend wonders what Putin's long term goal is. She's retired from the government (FEMA and Homeland security). She couldn't even believe what she was hearing!
Loved the stonekettle read. Thanks to all for the links to some good reading. Helps me to be able to sort things out. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

From Forward Progressives:
Republicans, I Give In: Here’s a List of a Few Things You Can Blame on President ObamaJuly 5, 2014 By Allen Clifton - See more at: http://www.forwardprogressives.com/list-of-things-you-can-blame-on-president-obama/#sthash.xEsk6ews.dpuf
Basically since before he even took the oath of office to become President of the United States, Republicans have opposed everything President Obama stands for and blamed him for practically everything.
Literally it wasn’t even a few weeks into his presidency, in the middle of the worst economic crash since the Great Depression, before Republicans started blaming him for our economic woes.
So, on the heels of a nearly flawless jobs report, I thought I’d finally give in and make a list of a few things Republicans can blame on President Obama:
- Job losses were cut by more than 50% within his first 4 months in office.
- He saved the American auto industry.
- Has cut our deficits by more than half.
- Killed Osama bin Ladin.
- Got Syria to give up their chemical weapons without firing a single shot.
- Presided over record breaking stock levels (with the Dow just recently closing over 17,000 for the first time in its 118-year history).
- Reduced unemployment from 10% to 6.1%.
- We just saw the fastest first quarter of job growth in the United States since 1999.
- The quickest drop in unemployment in 30 years.
- 52 straight months of private sector job growth.
- 9.7 million private sector jobs created.
- Over 8 million people signed up for health care thanks to the Affordable Care Act.
- Millions of Americans have gained, or kept, health care coverage thanks to Medicaid expansions and being able to stay on their parents’ insurance longer.
- He hasn’t started a single war.
- Hasn’t tried to confiscate a single gun.
I could go on, but I think that’s a good enough list of things Republicans can blame on President Obama. Though I’m sure many Republicans reading this aren’t aware of most of what I just listed, because Fox News rarely reports any of that.
And might I also remind conservatives, he’s done all of this without any help from congressional Republicans. In fact, he’s done all of this in spite of their best efforts to obstruct him at every turn. So, Republicans, I say blame away. Blame President Obama for everything I just listed above. I’ll go ahead and predict that you can also blame him for next month’s jobs report that will show we added jobs for the 53rd consecutive month. You know what, Republicans should probably just go ahead and blame President Obama for the unemployment rate falling below 6% sometime in the next 2-3 months, if not next month.
Because you damn sure know if it were a Republican who presided over everything I just listed above, you’d be calling him an American hero and a conservative legend.

Damn him! He is slowly but surely rebuilding this country from the devastation wrought by the Bush the lesser/Satan Cheney administration. How DARE he fix what the Republicans broke!

I posted this on FB yesterday. This is the meme and my comment above it.People are showing a lot of ugly these days, especially on the southern border. Where would all of the thousands of Americans stranded outside the United States on 9/11 have been had other people in other nations not extended helping hands and welcoming arms? (I'm looking at YOU, Canada, in particular.) I am increasingly ashamed to be an American. -
RL --- eloquent and spot on. Both of your above posts.

Gee BCO - don't we have enough to deal with without losing our friends unnecessarily?

Hi Gals,Weather has been a lot cooler and overcast. It's a nice change from the upper 90's we had this past Monday.
Been a busy day for me. Ran errands this morning and then I've been waiting all day for the doctor I work for to send me a Fed Ex package with his micro memory chip. It's his new way of sending me voice files ... he sends me the whole memory chip from his recording device and wants me to download it on my computer. He does this to me all the time ... says there is some kind of emergency/rush on a project and I wait by my computer all day .. and then nothing comes. He'll probably call later on tonight and ask me to work the weekend. Oh well ... I work whenever I can.
Quinn ... I agree with you. I miss Sunnyflowers too. I'm still trying to get her email addy or home address. Nobody seems to have it.
Libby ... I like the meme you posted. It seems there is a severe lack of compassion coming from the right. They just don't seem all that swift to me. Makes you wonder if it's genetics or just some kind of brain problem.
hugs,
Bren

I think Jason Carter could turn Georgia on its head. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/07/18/democrat-jason-carter-destroying-nathan-deal-in-georgia-race-for-governor-by-large-margin-in-conservative-poll/ and that this reasoning may be showing up in lots of places. Those who don't have an idea in the world how to be bi-partisan, may not be at all.

Morning Gals,Nice weather we're having today ... but I've got some kind of stupid headache. I think it's probably allergies or something like that.
Never did hear from the doctor yesterday about the Fed Ex package he was supposed to send. Oh well .. he's called me many times on Saturday night to see if I'd work Sunday for him. That's okay ... I'll do the work whenever he sends it. Tim will be home today, but leaves tomorrow morning so my day will be free on Sunday.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Bren, nice weather here too. It has dried out enough to curb the humidity quite well but we do have rain in the forecast after the week-end. Lots of cloudy days along with a fair amt. of rain this year. If things keep on like this we could end up with another no balloon flights Balloon Fest. Had it happen a few times now. Well, I'm going to enjoy the nice while it lasts. See you all later.

Hi Gal's,
Can't seem to shake this headache. Going to go for a pain pill in just minute. Thank goodness I've got some Lortab somewhere around here.
Jackie ... It's been overcast and cooler the last couple of days. More rain forecast for tomorrow. I need to get back to my neighbor's and finish mowing their fields. Tank stepped on my toe and broke it .. So I'm having trouble getting my work shoes on! Arghhh.
Hugs

Bren, do hope your headache cleared, finally. Beautiful morning here....cool and some sun . We are going to get a bit warmer ( 80's ) which will ultimately lead us into rain sometime in the first part of the week. Sure been a wetter type summer this year. Likely not so bad. Typically, we only have to mow once or twice on our two acres --- then once towards fall to even things out so we can blow falling leaves into the ravines. We have already mowed three or four times.....though in part a lot of that is the huge amt. of trees that surround us.
Read a piece this morning about the Supreme Court. Sad . http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/07/20/confidence-in-supreme-court-lowest-since-gallup-started-tracking-it/ Will take so many years to turn it around if ever it can be.

Morning Everybody,Except I just noticed the clock and it's afternoon already!
Jackie ... headache finally went away late last night. I think the weather or allergies had something to do with it. Right now, my biggest problem is that about a week ago Tank stepped on my right foot. I think he broke the toe next to the little one. It really hurts and I can barely get my tennis shoe on that foot. I'm just wondering how long it will take to heal. It isn't black and blue, but is swollen quite a bit by the joint. Who would have thought such a tiny little toe would cause this many problems!
Kind of overcast today with temps a little cooler. Supposed to rain again tomorrow. Guess I'll wait until later in the week to finish mowing my neighbor's fields.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend,
hugs,
Bren
