Blue ... Forgot to tell you how cute your grand baby is!
-
Just a thought:
Jackie

blue, great pictures. You look awesome! Your son and his bride to be make a gorgeous couple!
-
I have broken my toe a few times now. It really is surprising how much we need every one of them!
-
Hi Pip! Yep ... this crazy toe is giving me fits. It's still quite swollen, but not bruised. Hurts to walk on the damn thing. But, since I can't slow down, I just squeeze my foot into the tennis shoe and off I go. I've been taking a putter with me when I walk the dogs to knock down spider webs, but it's also working quite nicely as a walking stick/crutch. Just glad it wasn't my big toe as that one supports a lot of weight!! hahaha!Blue ... Benjamin is adorable. I'm so glad you get to spend time with your grandsons. I'm a little envious ... as I'm missing mine quite a bit. Thankfully, my DIL posts pictures of them on Facebook so I get to see them. My Isaac is 10 now and he's as tall as my mom at 5' 2". He's going to be very tall when he grows up.
Hope everyone is having a good Monday,
Bren

Morning...warm here this morning and getting more so, but it is getting us set up for the rain storm that seems to be approaching. As we had most days almost chilly and not in need of the air conditioner....I can't see it as terrible.
While reading this morning I came across the newest invocation to impeach the President. Seems God is talking to Simple Sarah. REALLY !!!!! http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/07/21/sarah-palin-says-god-told-her-president-obama-should-be-impeached-video/ There's some real desperation for you. No one seems to be able to tell her/warn her, that her shred of credibility flat-lined a good while ago and won't be back. She is playing to the conservatives the article says --- who in the end while supportive maybe, are going to still look like idjuts of the highest order.
Jackie
-
Simple's friend.
-
Have you noticed how much Ted Cruz LOOKS like Joe McCarthy? Eerie.
Oh, and Sarah complains so much I wonder how her evangelical Christian self can believe in the all knowing and omnipotent God. Seems like she would just trust in the Lord and not try to control everything.

Wanna improve this country a lot?

Remember, ladies - exercise our #19thAmendmentSolutions in November. Vote blue to save women's lives!

Brigadoon.......good point!
Bren...try using your fingers to manually separate your hurt toe from one beside it. If you feel incredible pain then it is likely broken and not just sprained. To reduce the pain, tape it to the toe next to it to give it support.
-
Brig...Carnival Cruz always reminded me of Grandpa on the Muensters sans make up. I think I have a silent aha moment every time I see him. So this is what Grandpa is up to and its not pretty.
Jackie
RL.....a million times yes on your first graphic and a yep...it's completely true on the second.
-
Thanks Pip! I did what you suggested and I think it's just sprained on the top of my foot where that toe joins it. I did do a Google just to make sure there was no such thing as toe cancer.hugs,
Bren
-
Bren....google Bob Marley, toe cancer.
-
Pip, I'm sure you don't mind, but I read that piece on Bob Marley too. Quite informative and interesting. I 'm amazed really.

Interesting only one comment about the plane that was shot down. Our Prime minister is being hailed around the world for his stance on the situation. Pity Obama isn't tougher on Russia.
-
Pip,I get a full body check for melanoma every six months.
hugs,
Bren

I thought Obama was taking a stand. I haven't heard anything about where Australia is. I'm pretty sure our govt here denounced it too.
-
Obama's speech earlier today sure sounded "tough," although not cow boyish on Russia.
-
He was very late coming to the party. Our PM really p'd off the Russian Ambassador here and has even spoken to Putin personally. It's disgusting that the bereaved families may never get their loved ones back. The Un Security council has passed Australia's resolution to gain access to the site, but the rebels probably won't obey.
-
For the record, I thought it was Cameron in the UK that was being hailed for his statement. I don't give a darn about "statements." We had a POTUS that was all about bluster, invading countries, declaring premature victories and climbing on top of rubble with a megaphone. It's the stuff we don't hear that counts the most. Diplomacy is not always "what you hear."
RL - me too on the first graphic. Deport the Racists. Racism is very un-American imo.
I love my first Devon Rex so much I'm getting another one! Arrival date, 8/13. Quinn can't wait!
Mods - still trying, unsuccessfully, to post pictures from my Mac. Will this ever be fixed?
-
RR - yes, seems as if Conservatives like the blustery cowboy sock it to em kind of responses. Kind of goes with the phenotype.
-
Better without the verbage, or posting pic before verbage. He's a blue sepia. That's
gray with points only slightly darker than body. "Points" are the thermals - where the
cat would be the coldest (tail, paws, face, ears, ridge of back).
-
Here's a link to President Obama's speech and more:
Here's one of sanctions which our Treasury Department have instituted, which Forbes has headlined, "U.S. Sanctions On russia Are Financial Warfare."
Edited to fix spelling error and take out a message that's no longer needed.
-
Cuuuute new baby, Quinn'sMom!
Re: statements and whining about whether President Obama sounds "tough" enough - who gives a crap? Honestly, after "Mission accomplished" and "If you're not with us, you are against us" and "The war will pay for itself" and "They will welcome us with flowers and candy" and "I gazed into Putin's eyes and saw his soul," I would rather have a president say something meaningful rather than wagging his weenie.
Besides, with all the bellicose statements coming out of John "Get Off My Lawn" McCain's mouth and the brainless drivel coming out of Snowdrift Snooki's, I think that there are enough empty words floating around the airwaves.
-
Mr Abbott, whose tough language on Russia has been echoed by US President Barack Obama and UK Prime Minister David Cameron, would not reveal details of his conversation with the Russian leader but said: “To President Putin’s credit, he did say all the right things. The challenge now is to hold the president to his word. That’s certainly my intention and it should be the intention of the family of nations to hold the president to his word.”
-
Ok then, peaceful blue lines it is.
-
"Wagging his weenie" - that's one for the books. No wonder you were a PIO RL.
-
I'm there on the blue lines, RR. Been there since it started. It improves the atmosphere when there are eruptions.
