hormonal therapy

My mom has breast cancer and took the surgery last month. For the hormonal therapy, I am wondering what kind of medicine is good for her. She is 48 years old with an early-stage breast cancer and premenopausal. Thanks.

    If your mom is premenopausal she would typically be prescribed Tamoxifen.  Another option, particularly if she could not take Tamoxifen for medical reasons or due to undesirable side effects, would be to suppress her ovaries (either surgically or with a drug) and prescribe an aromatase inhibitor - there are three, Femara, Arimidex and Aromasin.
