If you go to the Chemo forum you will find threads for

"those starting Chemo March 2014" and "those starting Chemo in April 2014" .  You will find women at the same stage of you in this journey.

Also there is a lot of information in that forum how what kind of side effects you can expect, insights on how to deal with those side effects (many of them can be effectively managed). For example, the nausea can be very much dealt with. From what I gather it's the fatigue that hits right after chemo and be a bit much for the first few days.

As you get an idea of what kind(s) of chemo you will be given, seek out the ladies in those forum who have experience with them. They can really be very helpful.

I know that there is a forum too for young women like yourself (in your 30's, small children etc) that is available.

It all so incredibly sucks. Sucks beyond reason. But you are going to be able to do it. And that is the silver lining in this very dark storm you have found yourself in. You are going to be able to do it.

Coop, you are handling this amazingly well!  I have watched both your video's and it is good to see the emotions we all go through with this.  One day life is swimming along and then suddenly we are confronted with this major bump we need to work through.  I'm being lazy, but do you know that you are ER-/PR- already?  I found out I was ER+/PR+ the day I got my biopsy results.

Hugs to you and you've got this!

Go to the "Calling all TripNeg" thread in the TrigNeg forum. You will get the support, understanding and hope you need.

You are going to be able to do this, Coop.

coop-- another 30 something here telling you that you will kick this in the rear end!  You'll feel more in control after you start your treatments/have surgery, etc.  As you can tell, there's plenty of different forums where folks will give you answers from their experiences.  Aside from the Young with Breast Cancer forum, there's also boards on Young Survival Coalition (community.youngsurvival.org) that has a ton of information.  Between the BCO ladies and the YSC gals, I managed to keep my sanity through all of this cancer crap.  (HUGS)

I went over to the triple negative group and found some comfort. Chemo is going alright. 9 treatments in and my white blood count is going down. Not too bad in my opinion. fingertips are super sensitive.
