100 Days of Gratitude

I am grateful for the strawberries I just picked from my garden, and for the strawberry pie I'm making with them.
-
Susie, strawberry pie sounds good!
I am grateful that my husband did the laundry. Even though we are empty nesters, it still piles up.

Yesterday (Day 147, 5/27): was just a horrible day but still have a whole lot to be grateful for. Will elaborate later.
-
Goodness 2nd, are you okay?
-
2nd I love your attitude and that you are still grateful after a bad day.
-
Thanks Ann, trying to have an attitude of gratitude. When things seem bleak, it is easy to be grateful for everything I DO have.
-
I'm grateful that when I called this morning, I was able to get an appointment with the onco in the morning.
-
Hope you are okay, Susie.
Grateful for leftovers!
-
Day 1:
Grateful for time spent with my Dad.
-
5/29- I am grateful for a cool new work opportunity that came today for my next consulting gig. Resume went in tonight, we will see where this goes. Feeling excited!
-
Good luck Jazzy!
Welcome lovelush.
Maddy. You okay?
May 29
Grateful for a new friend from Ohio. Came up to give advice on our payroll system and ended up at my place for dinner and 3 hours of conversation. Lovely evening!
-
Yesterday grateful to have spent time with a client who I really like.
Today grateful for a fun evening at my dance class with a group of old friends.
-
trying to catch up
Day 148 (5/28): grateful to have some place to run away to (please forget that isn't proper grammar, too tired to care), that I actually got some sleep last night, that we got my mom's hair cut (plus washed) and that I'm closer to getting my landline fixed (now, after 3 calls and 1 hour on the phone, we're making progress)
Day 149 (5/29): grateful people in the community where my parents live are so kind to my mom and her quirky behaviors (due to Alzheimer's), that dad and I spent a couple hours with mom in memory care, that a friendly and kind lady who lives there spent time with me on the phone calming me down, and lastly a dear friend I've known 30+ years who I haven't heard from in years, we talked 2 hours and we were right back where we were years ago.
-
5/30- grateful for the gentle rain this morning. Oh and I have a call this morning on the opportunity I heard about yesterday. He reached out to me within a hour of submitting my resume! Grateful for that too!
Maddy- I am glad you are spending some quality time with your mom. Broken things frustrate me to no end (I have a leak in my roof after a recent hail storm. I just replaced the roof in October of last year due to another hail storm that trashed it. ARGGGHH.....)
-
Grateful for Friday! -
May 30
Grateful that my joints aren't aching quite so much. And that it's finally Friday. And the sun is out.
-
Thank you RedReading.
Day 2: Grateful for ride to doctor and going out to lunch with neighbor afterwards.
-
Day 150 (5/30): grateful for a long phone call from a BCO friend for my drive home last night; that I didn't know what kind of mess I was coming home to and it wasn't too bad; that my 2 cats had been fed and had water during my absence; that I had enough sense to get out of the house last night. Grateful I went to a meeting with an amazing group of ladies last night, and, as suggested by a dear friend, announced my situation and for ladies to contact me if they knew of job openings. A couple did, so resumes have been already been sent. Plus, I have a local friend's home to escape to should I need it again (she recently lost her husband and welcomes the company). So, all in all a better ending to the day than I had thought.
Grateful I can read an owners manual for the dinosaur of a landline answering machine (and can find them online now as I'm sure it was trashed years ago), and that it's finally fixed. While I was in fix-it mode, grateful I'm confident to find my recliner (my "home base" for over a year and a half).
And the day is only half over!
Jazzy, I truly share your frustration! I'm so tired that things are meant to break and be replaced.
-
today I'm grateful for meds. Another round of antibiotics, steroids, and cough meds.
-
Aww Susie. Still not feeling well? Hope u get better soon.
Maddy, I am happy you found support but confused about dead bodies. What on earth is going on in your life right now. PM me please!
Jazzy, I'm glad it looks like more work coming your way. Can I ask what you do for a living?
Have a great weekend everybody.
-
Grateful that I am packed for my upcoming trip (I am a terrible packer & drive myself crazy in the process!).
-
Hi Ruth. Where are you going?
-
Some of us 'Lets Post Our Daily Exercise' gals are flying in and meeting at hbcheryl's in the LA area, driving up the coast & ending up in San Francisco...getting together with other BCO California Girls at difference spots along the way....potentially about 25 ladies in all! It will be crazy fun!
-
Ohhhhh. I want to be there too. Wait, what happened to my favourite, let's post our exercises. Darn. Did I delete it? By accident? Gotta go look. Bbl
-
oh, oh....Freudian slip, perhaps?
-
No darn it, I've been exercising like a good girl. My steps are improving every week. Kinda proud of myself. Plus I went golfing!
-
Better get back there then & report in!
-
Lol. I will Ruth. Hugs
-
Grateful for my wonderful neighbor who has pulled her house apart so she could lend me beds for my guests, I am very lucky to be surrounded by caring and giving friends.
Red, this will be our 4th get together from the LPODE thread so start planning to join us next year, so far we've been to minneapolis, Chicago, Washington DC and this year San Francisco (but a few are doing SoCal as well)
-
Grateful that I am going on vacation......see you tonight, Cheryl!
