Looking for information about Faslodex

I have been on Letrozole for 3 years......have had severe joint and muscle pain with other SE's but this  is the main one.......Yesterday at a visit my MO after listening to me comment said......I would not have you stop Letrozole, but there is an alternative.............

She said she would need approval, but was considering putting me on Faslodex which so far is only approved for Stage 1V cancer.......I am early stage........but she said the SE's are minimal, and it is an estrogen receptor since I am esttrogen positive.........

Can anyone who has been on Faslodex tell me about their experience because when checking the SE's info......it includes joint and muscle pain........what is the point to change if that is true....thanks ladies.

    Hi Duckyb.

    I've been on Faslodex since early Feb and have found it to be very easy to tolerate. I don't get joint/muscle pain, which I did with Femara and Aromasin. I get very tired, especially for the few days following the shots, and I tend to feel not so well (under the weather type of thing) for a day or 2. I also occasionally get mild hot flashes but nothing more than mildly uncomfortable.

    There is a thread called "Faslodex Girls 2014" that has a lot of good information about this tx so you can look there. Sorry I can't add a link but I am what I call technologically challenged (in other words, I stink at technical stuff).

    duckyb1, here's the link to the Faslodex Girls 2014 thread. Although it's in the Stage IV forum, so not open to posts from non-Stage IV members, there's much to be learned from reading others' experiences.
