Weesa and Humor
I just wanted to say that over the years, some of the funniest things I've ever read came from women here who have been through, and continue to go through, tough times. My favorite official quote now is from Weesa: "I have enjoyed the shit out of the last 11 years!" I know it's not always easy for us to find humor, but it has been my saving grace my whole life. When my husband and I were both fighting cancer at the same time, my kids were little and his mom was also going through cancer and lived five minutes from us, it totally sucked. His favorite quote was, "Sometimes life is a shit sandwich and we all gotta take a big bite!" Thank you to each and every one of you for making that sandwich as tasty as possible. And may you find many moments of laughter, joy and peace in each and every day!

Laughter is the BEST medicine.... I have to remember that - I feel that all I have been doing lately is crying. AND I know my prognosis is good... it's the darn day to day treatment regime that sucks.
Why did the monkey go in the mailbox? Because there was a banana in it.

When I tell people about my DX I try to lighten the mood by telling that when the pathologist was counting my tumors she had to take off her shoes because she ran out of fingers to count on. But not many people seem to get the joke. It would be so much harder to get through this without humor.

Dark humor got me through the tough days...even if my DH never found the jokes funny.

I still go back and re-read Weesa's post about her "slouch fest" and her "knock-you-naked-Margaritas".
