Krish- chemo is NEVER required. That surgeon sounds just like my original surgeon 12 years ago! It is an individual treatment CHOICE.  My current surgeon is great and told me her job is to cut and she would leave the actual treatment to my oncologist as that is his job.  I hope you find some answers and with them comes peace of mind. Making a decision  always helps me.

thanx a lot hjpz ! i was so worried regarding omitting of chemotherapy of my mom as advised by medical oncologist. Since your stage and my mom's stage is same , i am relieved , assured and hopeful. He has started my mom on femara 2.5 mg /day . My mother's 25 ( OH ) vitamin D was very low -14ng /ml ( normal levels being 30 -100ng/ml ) . i have started her on vitamin D 50,000 IU /week for 8 weeks. Recent research shows that vitamin D supplementation in Breast cancer patient with VIT D deficiency improves survival , reduces ER gene and lowers aromatase enzyme levels . Hope everything goes fine . Its 1 month since she underwent  modified radical mastectomy . once again thanks and best wishes . Stay blessed !

My Vitamin D was tested and was low as well so I am taking 5,000 IUD of it daily as well :) Best of luck!  p.s. I also take the supplement DIM -- your mother may want to research that as well.  Basically it weeds out the "bad" estrogeons in your body.
