Fiercely - I'll be thinking about you today.....while I'm doing my psych eval.  I wonder how that will turn out. Good for you for following the breadcrumbs.  We all know what a breadcrumb trail is.  It's just the following of the trail with possible gaps (caused by birds, bluebirds included) that can get dicey.  Please be sure to use your GPS if you lose the breadcrumbs!

FBB Hugs so glad you're here, ugh, so sorry you're feeling ickky      In your pocket for Friday. It's sounds like you're sx is going to robot guided---best kind.  If the plan is to take you to the ICU, don't be concerned --it's usual.  SpecialK came to the ICU at Moffit in Tampa for mine. SHE brought CHOCOLATE. OMG, we ate chocolate and fruit all afternoon. They'll give you steroids just like chemo. So, you'll be flying. The flight is much better with CHocOLate and someone that YAKS.

See you all------ breadcumbs,  do work. FBB says so. You all thought I made up a word again, but not this time

Chevy and Smarrty , It's only fair if we have a dog house, that we have a cat house. We need a goat house for Littlegoats and FBB

Chevy and 4 are you trying to get your two together. Please, don't show us pics. The police would pick us all up.

Phyilly Now be careful what words you use in the psych eval. b/c wrong word and they can put you away for three days.

Pawprint  it's sad your furbaby has to loose his eyes. But I think it's great to know that he will do okay AND feel better. FBB knows. :):)

Maddy, lovely you keep Teka company on W&F's

Ziggy, too short postings, too short......... How's the crocuses?

    Cami, vanilla pudding?

The RAI131 update-----I'm having every friggen s.e. in the book. and allot more that aren't there. My lessons which I'd rather do without. Fairly sure my eardrum ruptured during the night. That ones NOT in the books. It hurts , but feels like a better hurt b/c the previous hurt was not nice.

I give, you are all right. I'm to hard to understand, but I know you love me anyway.  Came from GI doc visit yesterday afternoon. Explained to DBF what was up. He said  "are you okay?".  I said."Yes I'm okay,  I just told you that."  He said "But I didn't understand a word of it." Poor guy he looked so worried. I must do better on RealSpeak.

So with DBF start with "I'm OK and here's why". Then at least if he doesn't understand the rest he will have heard the best thing.

Pawprint - sorry for the pain your furbaby has been having. Fierce knows her doggies for sure. I look at my furbaby getting a white face and have to think back that she is 7 already. Has recently been banned permanently from sleeping on the couch after barfing on it again. DH found a bargain dog bed with a removable cover. Inside is almost perfectly a king size pillow - furbaby is 19# rat terrier. Thank goodness she has taken to it but we have to put newpapers/plastic on couch to keep her off. Old dog never was allowed on couch and never attempted - 36# chow mix long gone.

Um - Smaarty a cat house. Euphemism for place of ladies of ill repute (being delicate for those of delicate constitutions). A dog house, a cat house, a nut house, what else can be find to occupy? Goat house very tame by those standards and they only like it if it is raining.

I have chocolate stashed in refrigerator in amazing amounts. DH pouts because it is dark - um that's why I still have it. I missed the Easter candy clearance at local grocery. Usually very good buys on standard stuff - Nestle, Hershey. Wonder if Mother's Day is a candy sale event? I have a steak craving, grilled by DH. Wonder if DD is coming out - prob. not. Doubt if she even knows it's Mother's Day.

Fierceness... Ok, we have the routine down now. We are all bouncing around in your huge pocket, 4 sew will need to bring her pole to show off on, Chevy will be jealous, Cami is in charge of mixing drinks out in the van.

Please keep us in the loop, hugs to you....

What you are going through sounds scary....I am clueless about that procedure...

Dog house, snakes, frozen mice, slugs, Cat house, goat house, coffee, balls, bread crumbs, pics of hot men......see I do read, I just don't know what I'm reading!  LOL

FBB I'm in your pockets too!!

Pawprint, sorry about your baby!!  I am the biggest animal lover around, and I think I would win the cat lady contest, really, I can post pics as proof if I need to!  I have way to many, but I love them all and they entertain me daily!  I also have and love my dogs!  I have a rescue dog that is also diabetic, she takes two shots a day and has also been banned from the furniture as once she goes to sleep, she has no control over her bladder!  But she is a sweetheart and she can't help it, and she looks so pitiful when I put a diaper, so I just cover her beds, yes beds in big garbage bags and put a mambe blanket on top and she sleeps quite comfortably!  The mambe blankets are washable and the garbage bags keep the actual beds from having to be washed, if she "leaks" too much, I just spray them with some cleaner, wipe them down, and put another blanket on top!  Big fight at my house, DH wants me to ban her to outdoors, but she was raised sleeping with me, so there is no way that I would ever agree to that!!  Just wouldn't be fair as she couldn't understand why!

Well, that was a ramble!  Off to do a little work!

FBB loads of (((HUGS ))) and we're there.  As soon as u can let us know how things are going.

Well I think we have enough houses, but we might need a much bigger nut house than we figure, and not because of squirrels. We're such a creative bunch when we can sit on our asses. BTW I don't always use vanilla pudding, today it's green apple--I'm a woman of many flavors.

I received this email from a dear friend whose also a nurse. Likely when she reads it, she'll be knocking at the door. She's just that way. I love her for many reasons. So, don't think I was being terrible my response was of irony. She and I are a different wave length than the most.

alcohol consumption can be considered safe.

    My response

You noodle brain, I don't hear from you in months and you send me this stupid
    email.

Why don't you call me, and we will go out for drinks and steak(red meat, also, a
carcinogen). Eaten with potatoes, salad, and vegetables that are pesticide
laden--opps more carcinogens. Then we will sit by the pool and enjoy the fresh
air as it wafts across the pool---oops chlorine another carcinogen.

I would have had fish, but too much iodine may be connected with breast cancer.
OH wait a minute, I already lost them.

Learned about the iodine and breast connection b/c I just lost the Thyroid. Oh
    yeah, BTW it was cancer.

    April 21st I had Radioactive Iodine-131 RAT-131. Having every friggen s.e. plus
some never heard of with this treatment. An example, my eardrum just ruptured
last night. "Oh what a relief it was". Eustachian tube on left side swollen the
day before treatment. I guess that was a setup for more swelling. Very painful,
but survivable. It was nice to have it rupture. :) NOT in any book as a
complication of therapy, but of course it will happen to me.

But you know me, already in contact the NRC and sent them oodles of stuff about
creating a patient centered protocol. NONE available. The toilet seat, floor,
sink, and garbage are discussed at length in every protocol and article in USA,
UK and EUROPE. Nothing or minimal about self care is available i.e. skin, eyes,
mouth, nose, genitals, nails, hair. I've had s.e.'s with each area. It's been a
    delightful learning experience. NOT.

Now I need to be monitored for several more cancers that my treatment has
predisposed me too. Let's see if I remember them all. Leukemia, stomach,
genitourinary, breast connection to ER+ in mice--don't know what it means too
me--I'm ER+, brain. Brain tumor, I've already had my one, two
would just be unfair. Also, it can affect heart. Didn't find anything on a liver
connection. But already being followed for a thingy. At this point they think
    it's a hemangioma.

Why Thyroid cancer? Who knows. Maybe the several times a week of eating fish.
Who knew, I thought, I was eating healthy. Maybe it was all those years in
nursing with exposure to xrays without a thyroid shield. Possibly ALL the
diagnostic CT's and PET (Pet includes a CT) scans. Did you know That one CT is
    equivalent to 200 chest xrays.

Looking forward to a wonderful evening when I stop glowing. Do hope you call
    before that L&H&P's sheila

Off to Shrink's . Kept him ever since the early days of BC. Everyone should have one. Delightful to discuss all the messed up things with. I go after five so Schatzi can come. It has done wonders for her fear of offices. A two for one therapy session. :)

Pawprints, so sorry to hear about your pup.  I wish we could communicate with them, I always feel so bad when something has to happen and I can't. I am sure she will feel better after the surgery, and they seem to adjust to new things so fast.

Shucks just hate when I type a note and forget to hit submit. Phooey

I should be the "Blues" avatar right now. It has a special signifigance, and it's a secret.

Jwoo I was going to be a bluebird. I will on Friday.

Cami & Jwoo---it's nice to have friends that are as crazy as us.  I know N is LHAO.

Updated shrink on everything, he says how do you cope with all this. I said "I talk". But we ran out of time. I couldn't of made it without him when things were bad. Two of us with cancer at one time. Could have been manageable. I know sounds crazy, but i am saying this with a retrospective look. The ungluing came with all the friggen errors. My beliefs of what I thought was happening in medicine and surgery were blown apart. That was the toughest to deal with.

I'm just done with it. The errors have got to stop.

So, you see an error. Just tell them no-UH_UH not going to happen, stop.-------whatever.

It's not that I didn't, but some were done when I wasn't around, or didn't know were being done. Like the stupid pathologist that didn't even do middle school science evaluation of my thyroid bx. Cluck'em. I can't change the past, but damn well am going to change the future.

Oh, I bought a bottle of wine on the way home LOL. I'll have it with all the other carcinogens.

Thanks for the idea of PIZZA---it's on it's way

    Hello Blondie,

How ya doing? I took steroids on the red devil.. It was a buzz. I also got a Zometa infusion, 3 weeks ago.

Have you been on the Halaven long? Its all is sucky. Is that a word? I sound like Miss Cami, making chit up. I am getting better at that, my friends & family just look at me & say chemo brain.

Looking at your bio/stats on your dx, you have been living with this for 17 years. Is that correct? I am 10 months in to the BC world and I am amazed when I think about how many women live & fight for there life for so long.

A friend of mine was dx last week... She needs chemo & herceptin.. Ah, I have spent a lot of phone time with her. I have leArned so much from all the wonderful women on these boards, she thinks I am an expert....lol...

Blondie- hope the 'roids don't make you too crazy. I sure appreciated the energy, but the meth feeling, and the OCD I could have done without. I wish I could get that kind of energy without all the side effects! I agree with Holein1- your fight is inspiring!

    image

Dutch, i am just really getting/dealing with/being frustrated by LE. I have it in my trunk and a little in my upper arms. It is making me bonkers. I wish you the best of luck!

Nettie- that comment would literally put the boy in the doghouse. Good thing he knows better than to say something like that to me. But, he is also a pet parent, and cares as much as I do about our zoo.

Sas- can't agree with you more. A therapist is the best person to have on your team when dealing with any major shit in life. Mine that I am seeing now has been a true lifesaver.

Morning girls!  Love your Blueberry JWow!  But I love all pets!  I made my DD a little pot of grass, for her cat!  It's called "Trini's Little Pot of Grass"....  Sounds highly appropriate lately...Winking  My other DD sent us these little kits, like a tiny pot with a face, and you plant this grass-seed in it, and grows, and Trini has been eating his "hair"!  So I made her her very own pot!

    image

Morning Paws.... just wish it was over.... It is so hard WAITing, as all of us know!  Give her a hug for me...

    .

Sassy!  Whatchoo MEAN?  "A secret"????  We don't have secrets around here.... remember?    You got the blues...?  Okay, we are all sorry, and you don't have to tell us......... unless you want to...

Okay Nettie!  We got this!  Your only solution is to BAN your DH to the dog-house!  And not with us!  I mean!  Of all the nerve...  sending her outdoors!  Is he nuts?  Did he give you a choice?  Like her or him?  Okay.... you got the picture... I'm just sayin'......

Sometimes we just have to dig our heels in....  and just say no.

But JWow.... Is that YOU on that.... um... Is that you shooting that bow and arrow?  Cammi will think she is dreaming.....

Okay....Hi Blondie, 22222 and Holygolfgirl!  It's only 39 degrees here!  This weather is having fits...  doesn't know wht it wants to do next!
