May 7, day 127,
Today I am grateful that month end is almost done. I get too rushed when I have that and payroll to do.
Thanks for the suggestions about where to find tater tots. I'm going to look for them and if I get some will try out that recipe.

behind again:
Day 126 (5/6): have been focusing on trying to do so much, (like getting a job, exercising, drinking sufficient water, eating well...) no wonder I feel overwhelmed. So I got quiet for a moment and I thought, what one thing will make me feel successful if I accomplished it today? Once I could look at my day that way, I felt focused and less stressed.
-
-
Yup I've got to know too. And if you say you accomplished draining that bottle of beer in the fridge, I just might applaud. Lol
-
I wonder if draining the leftover half bottle of wine in the fridge would count for an accomplishment?
I subbed today & am grateful that half of the 8th graders were out of the building on a field trip.....that made the class sizes were small, manageable, & we could actually accomplish some learning!!!!
-
Yes I support draining the half bottle of anything as an accomplishment!
Grateful for beautiful weather here today and feeling good
-
Day 23...I'm grateful that I don't have to see any doctors until I have my mammogram in July. I see the surgeon for my yearly check up immediately after.
-
Yay Soteria!
Nel I'm happy the weather is finally turning nice too. Looking forward to not having to wear a parka any more.
Ruth, you know how very important it is for us to finish what we begin. So finish that bottle of wine. Feel the accomplishment!
-
I am grateful to have so much accomplished outside this week.
-
Yesterday grateful that when I went to pay for my new underwear it was on sale, saved myself $10.00. Today am grateful that a friend reached out to me to join her after work to work out together.
-
Onco, it was just one thing on my never-ending to do list. I was just becoming overwhelmed and disappointed with myself for not getting so much done. Yesterday it was all about a new perspective and how I could be successful every day, no matter what. So, I started the day with the thought: today, I will be successful if.......... Now, we know no matter how much we try, sometimes things don't go according to plan and no use in beating myself up about failures (seems like those around me are trying to do a good job of that). So, tonight, I get to ask myself, I was successful today because......
Does this make sense? It does to me.....
-
5/8- grateful today I only have one more day today to get through on my system go live before I get a break. Long hours this week, but off tomorrow (yay!)
-
Grateful that I am getting a MUCH NEEDED haircut and color this morning.
-
May 8,
Today I am grateful for being reminded that ALL cancer is scary. Big or small, it frightens the person who hears the words from their doc. I'm glad my friend reached out to me when he heard he had precancerous cells in the skin on his forehead. His doc gave him a cream that should fix the problem but it was still scary to him.
Maddy, I think that's a great way to look at your day. It is empowering and I think it also lends a sense of control to the day. Good for you. I'm going to try it too.
-
Day 127 (5/7): grateful a friend of mine gave me a reason to get out of the house yesterday
-
I'm grateful to spend the day with my oldest son and to receive my youngest sons prom pictures.
-
Grateful that my sweet goddaughter came to my dance class tonight, I was worried she wouldn't like it but she had a huge smile on her face after the class and actually went up to the instructor to tell her how much she enjoyed herself, then she went out and upgraded her gym membership so she could go to that gym.
-
Day 128 (5/8): grateful for the posting of yummy snack recipes on these threads
My thoughts about exercise:
-

I am thankful I don't have to work tomorrow cause I can't sleep tonight
-
Grateful that tonight we taking a very min-vacation, driving out to see some really good friends and staying overnight at their house....out to dinner, maybe a movie, lots of 'gabbing' time in the morning, and probably go out to lunch too before we come home tomorrow late afternoon
-

Grateful for the weekend and some time to myself -
May 9, Day 129
Today, I am grateful for Maddy's suggestion about picking something I can achieve, something I can be successful at. Today, I was successful at telling my doc how I felt about his lack of contact since I got bc. His reply was that he sees everything that has and is happening to me on his computer. That once he has verified that I am okay and being cared for he moves on to the next patient who may not be doing so well. That person he calls. I feel so much better now that I know he still cares about me. I felt like he saw my diagnosis and said 'o she has bc' then dropped me like a hot potato. Amazing how fragile we can feel sometimes.
I was also successful at cleaning a lot of my work on my desk off. I worked hard at it. So, thank you Maddy.
Cheryl, how old is your goddaughter?
Ruth, hope you enjoy your mini vacay! Have fun.
Jazzy, have a nice weekend - try to take some time for you.
Nel, I wish but my weekend is packed - I have this evening so I will enjoy that.
Susan, hope you sleep well tonight.
Onco, our weather has started to warm up, but nothing like yours - I can't wait.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs'n'kisses,
Deb
