Sal57, I hear you. After surgery my path report showed one positive lymph node with one microscopically small, teeny tiny metastesis. Game changer though - chemo and rads followed. My wish is that you will not have to go through that.

hi,
nihahi, 😁 you can do a little jig in those boots, DH got me an amazing exercise bike, doing only 1km a time but that gets me puffed. Doing this throughout the day in between housework etc.Knees already much less creaky 😆 hip also easing.I can put it out in the sun on the deck too and no worries about needing to rush home to my safe haven when I get a bit of a panic on.ED also giving me dance exercise DVD so will be doing that later too 😇.
Websister, Paisley is soooo cute, have a lovely cuddly weekend. Will get bloods checked too thanks.😀
Sal57,Wow you are incredible ! So glad you have made the decision that is right for you in your heart. My BCbuddie and best friend had a double MX and says it is the best thing g she ever did.Spaghetti straps 😁 and try some bio oil on those strap dents sure they will go.The warrior sisters will all be with you, and on your recovery.
Mom, glad you are out from under those covers 😊 peas we are for sure 😁. Cottage and wedding, so much joy to come, photos needed please.
Liefie, hope my post about the lady who played the organ didn't upset you ? 😕 just re read it and thought oops .

checking in to see if the Calgary gang is still hanging on to sanity....can you believe we are now in our 8th continuous month of SNOW....yep..CONTINUOUS!!!!!! Please don't let be one of those years where we have snow in every single month!!!! PLEASE NO!!!
edi..that bike sounds wonderful! So glad to hear you got it. I've found that writing down what I do, in a little pocket calendar, or somewhere....helps to keep me "at it"! Hard to justify a bunch of blank days staring you in the face!
hope the newbies and the veterans are doing ok this weekend.....hugs to all.
-
Hi
Just checking everyone OK ? Calgary girls the snow is unbelievable 😠 has it stopped yet.
Here not to bad and about right for this time of year.
Nihahi, cycling 5 miles a day now. Earlier 30 mins of salsa too. 😀 you are all right I do feel better.Must keep it up.
Bank holiday here today ,so everything is like a Sunday really 😃 very laid back putting a chicken in to roast for dinner.
Will check in soon X

Today is MRI day. Then more waiting for results. If this turns out to be nothing, I will want to celebrate. If it is what I fear, then back under the covers. Is this what triple negs have to look forward to? Every ache and pain causes me to fear the worse.
Edi… I am so proud of your cycling! Awesome! Perhaps if my MRI is not mets, then I might get a bike for Oregon!
I am caught up on all the wedding stuff. Only need to make a lace bracelet for DD out of lace from my wedding dress. Have no idea how to design it…but thought it would be a nice touch of something "old"…plan to add pearls and crystals to the lace. Then I have the task of trying to pack the car with all this stuff! A friend of mine is coming this week to help transport some of the load to Charleston, SC. Next Monday, DD and DH are going to practice their father/daughter dancing…"Forever Young" by Rod Stewart. My song is "Be Okay"…I just want to be okay…be okay.
Hope all is good with my fellow warriors.
Love,
Jenifer

edi....that is freakin fabulous!!!!! Self motivation can be hard....stay in touch if you start struggling..please don't just disappear, PROMISE!!!!!! We'll get you through the tough days!!!
jennifer....be okay ((((((X)))))))....we are here....sending hugs and hope. The lace bracelet sounds lovely, and you have some wonderful, special things to look forward to in the coming week.
-
Thanks Nihahi xx
Mom, everything crossed for you, this triple neg is sxxt !! Can't tell you how many times I get into a blind panic, prayers flying out for you.You will be on that bike before you know it.😀. The bracelet sounds just beautiful and so special for DD.
-
Jenifer, I hope/pray the MRI turn out okay, and that it is nothing to worry about. You have such creative ideas, and the wedding is going to be so beautiful and very special for your DD, I'm sure! Decide to enjoy it, no matter what. ((((((((((((Jenifer))))))))))))
Edi, good for you on exercising that much - wow! Yes, it is amazing how much better we feel mentally when we move physically. That's what we were made to do, not sit around. I have to keep repeating that to myself all the time - LOL.
Nihahi, the weather in Alberta is really ridiculous - can't believe it. Hopefully you will be getting summer till October to make up for this, eh? How are you feeling?
On Thursday I will be seeing my wonderful, brilliant PS for the last time. Still have some sutures that have not dissolved yet, but it will happen. I'm keeping everything soft with coconut oil. That stuff is amazingly wonderful. Guess she will want to take final photos, and I'm going to ask her to pose for a photo with me too. We have come a long way together after all.
-
Just sending hugs to jenifer and checking up on edi.....
Hope everyone else is doing well and staying busy. I'm wondering if any of the Calgary gals would like to have another get together??? Maybe we could make it an early supper for the working gals????
-
Hello just sending out a daily ((hug)) and prayer to all who need it!
-
momof2 - waiting along with you for MRI results - love the idea that part of you wedding dress will be included in the wedding as a lace bracelet for the bride - wonderful!
Edi - way to go with the exercise bike!
Nihahi - I would love to get together again with the Calgary gang, last time I messaged with Benny she was going to try to get something together when Morwenna returned - benny was under the weather last week but I think she is feeling better this week. I can nudge her and see if she still wants to organize it.
I will be away in Mexico from May 15 - 23 but should be available for an early supper otherwise
Liefie - yes, we sure have come a long way - I have my first PS visit on May 30th - nice to have others who are finishing up in that area to inspire me
Hello, Cammychris
Take care everyone
-
That would be great, websister....I'm always happy when someone else steps up to be the "social director"! There are lots of people I know with a spring cold/cough/yuck thing.....seems to last about a week.
Enjoy Mexico....sounds like a lovely get away for you. HOORAY on the PS date!!!!!!!! Let me know if I can be of any help with "been there done that" stuff.
jenifer....in your pockets girlfriend. Sending hugs and thoughts of lovely cups of coffee.

momof2 - in your pocket while you wait for your results - must be challenging for you especially with the upcoming wedding, and having to be upbeat for that!!! Not long now until the big day that you have put so much energy and time into - bet it will be awesome.
Edi - good job on pedalling the bike and getting out for walks.
Websister - have an awesome trip to Mexico - relax and enjoy!
Liefie - glad you are doing well.
Nihahi - you are an inspiration!
My arm is slowly feeling better - lots of new exercises which are very painful to do, but hopefully they will help my range of motion.
Love and hugs to all of you!

Wait, wait, wait…The MRI department called Tuesday to ask where I had my CT scan, because the radiologist needed to see it. So today I called my MO to find out results…they cannot access the report due to a new computer system, and there are glitches. Well S^&*t…The nurse said for me to go ahead to my daughter's wedding and my vacation…if the cancer has spread to the bone, they would just treat it with rads to help relieve the pain. Huh?
I finished DD lace bracelet. I think it turned out nice, but she will probably be "whatever" to my efforts. I made Heidi and Oskar wedding collars…they sent a gift, so they are going to be wedding crashers! DD is curious as to where my dogs are going to wear their new collars; I just ignored her question…"whatever"…she will see when she gets down the aisle.
I have been self absorbed with my own anxiety. I do hope all is well with everyone,
Sal…You will be in my thoughts, May 13, Hope all goes well for you.and a good path report to follow.I did not have any complications, but it was a Big relief when the drains were removed.
I am going to go strategize my next move with this darn MRI department. ARGH!!
Love,
Jenifer
-
I DID IT!!! I broke through the computer and they faxed(low tech method) the report to my MO. There is NO metastatic progression of disease. YIPPEE!!
I can get on with my life! Thank you for all the cyber hugs and positive prayers…This time they were effective. I love you all!
Now to Charleston…then Yachats!!! Plan your get away, ladies, We are going to celebrate this summer on the Oregon Coast! I am serious about this!!!
I am crying tears of joy!
Jenifer

JENIFER......HOORAH.....HOORAH......HOORAH!!!!!!!
OMG...I was about to launch into a tirade message about the nurse, the "glitch", etc. then I saw your next post. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU I AM SITTING HERE CRYING!!!!!
GO WEDDING.......GO KEIKO COTTAGE.....GO LIFE!!!!!!!!!!
-
That is awesome news Jenifer, I'm so happy right along with you! The wedding is going to be fantastic, I know it, and the cottage is waiting! :-)
-
Jenifer. I am so very happy for you !!!! Congrats on everything. Enjoy :-)
I went for my pre op on Tuesday and met the lady that is having her surgery right after mine (I'm AM she's PM) so we're helping each other through the next week or more. I'm still OK most of the time, am keeping busy building things, nothing like hitting things with a hammer to help vent :-) Finally got my 90 year old Mum in England the hospital contact information (email is not her thing!) so she's a bit less panicky for the time being. It's hard with the seven hour time difference but I should be in recovery before she goes to bed.
I treated myself to a whole drawer full of new and colorful panties the other day and am slowly throwing my bras away. No point in washing them. Although the thought of not having to wear one again is appealing it is still a bit sad. I think I'll keep couple and use them for supporting melons in the greenhouse lol
Back to power tools and hammers!
Hugs to all
-
Yeah!!!!Great News! So happy to hear. Enjoy yourself.
-
So very, very happy to hear your news! All the best. Kathy
-
Jenifer, haven't posted in some time, but just had to tell you how happy and relieved I was to read your news! Enjoy the wedding and your time in Oregon!!
-
Jenifer 😂😂😂 happy tears here too across the pond.Such a relief, now go and have fun a the wedding.
Then a joyful vacation at the cottage, wow 😁
Keep that chin up x
-
Sal57, just read your post. Will be in my thoughts May 13th.Keep those bras for the Melons sounds like a great idea 😀
Keep on hammering X
-
momof2 - just opened the thread and joy of joys - your news is fantastic!! So very happy for you. You will make it to Keiko cottage - I love the Oregon Coast - have many fond memories of time spent in Arch Cape and Cannon Beach and Seaside, and of course the amazing Haystack Rock. You must feel so energized by the news!!!
-
Great advice!
-
Momof2 - I'm a little late to the party but I am definitely celebrating with you - how wonderful to be able to now fully concentrate on enjoying the wedding and then relaxing at Keiko Cottage!
-
Jenifer, I have to admit I did not come here for days because I did not want to hear bad news re your MRI. Tonight I decided to have a look - and I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! IT IS TOO WONDERFUL FOR WORDS! Now you can go full steam ahead, organize and celebrate DD's wedding with a joyful heart. As for the 'whatever' attitude, I got it a lot from my DD too when she got married, and I suggested certain things. Today she tells people that her wedding day was the most wonderful day of her life. So do not take her too seriously - she will appreciate everything you do to make her day extra special.
Love that you made those dog collars - nothing wrong with your sense of humour, and that is wonderful to see. I am sooooo grateful that you are okay, friend! Keiko Cottage here we come . . . just wonderful.
-
Just popping in to say Happy Mother's Day to one and all!
-
adding my Mother's Day wishes to all - it is a bright and sunny day!
Saw this today - it is appropriate for all my warrior sisters - 'How do people make it through life without a sister?' Love you all
