Some of you know me, some of you see me on Facebook, some of you have no idea who I am.

Very long story short, I was diagnosed with stage 3 bc at 39 years old in June 2008...almost 6 years ago.

Prior to being diagnosed I had never run more than 9 miles.

I ran my first marathon in 2010 and qualified for Boston in 2012 and ran THE Boston Marathon on Monday (my 13th marathon).

The Albany newspaper did a story on me and here are some pics....http://www.timesunion.com/sports/article/Jennifer-...

Qualifying for the Boston Marathon is a dream for any runner - cancer had nothing to do with it, which made it even more sweet. I ran that Monday as an athlete, not as a cancer survivor. What an awesome feeling it was!

PS - my time sucked, the heat and dehydration got to me (never has happened before!) so I am headed to Long Island in a couple of weeks to run another marathon so I can run a better/faster race and qualify for Boston again!

I am one of the lucky ones here, as I have had the blessing of meeting Mary in person!  You see the strength and drive, and the heart behind it all is truly what is amazing to me.  Thank you Mary for your constant reminders that life is a journey to be taken with passion!
