TRIPLE POSITIVE GROUP

camillegal - I am good!  Saw PS yesterday - he cleared me to go back to walking and lower body work at the gym - he will take out my stitches next week, so I am excited!  I have been laying on my bed for 5 weeks and I was so BORED!

camillegal - I am still keeping my fingers crossed on things turning out well - I have at least 30 stitches in the left breast right now, so we will have to see how things go.  I also have a 150cc smaller implant on that side now so still waiting to see if there is a noticeable size difference once the swelling goes down on both sides.  I will swap the good side for a smaller one if you can really tell - have to say the smaller left one is a lot more comfortable - it is 100cc smaller than the one that was there previously.

Linda, I wore the daft hat to work last Winter and one of my coworkers bought me an even more impressive one.  When you pull on the little fur balls hanging from the side, the creature on the top opens his mouth and sticks out his tongue.  You need one of those!

I'm with you. As long as it's an owl.... LOL

Bren - thanks! It has been a worrisome five weeks so I'm glad too! I never thought something like this would happen this far out from my initial surgeries so it was a bit of a shock. I have one oozing and unhealed tiny area but the PS says it is firmly stitched underneath so I am back to dressing it daily with xeroform and Silvadene and keeping my fingers crossed.

SpecialK:  So sorry to hear of your issues but sounds like you are on the uptick now.  So happy for that.  Be well!  Wow, 30 stitches though. 

McKatherine - it's not a silly question. I would eliminate every chance for infection - so shave maybe several days before is possible? That way any nicks or potential points of entry for bacteria are healed up. I was told to also shower the morning of surgery using that blue liquid soap that doctors use to scrub up. Geez, I cannot remember the name of it. Ok, just went and dug it out of my closet - HIBICLENS. Apparently kills everything. I got it at my local CVS/drugstore. Maybe ask your pharmacist. It wasn't expensive.

My surgery instructions from my BS said to not shave less than 2 days before the procedure.  

mcK, omg. That's not fun. Sorry to hear you sprung a leak. Some are so slow they don't bother replacing them til exchange. So here's hoping for a real slow leak..... LOL.  

Linda forgot to mention that is a cool hat! You and pbrain obviously think alike! LOL

Did I mention that my family now has another BC dx? My Aunt. The last female on my Mom's side.  That now makes 4 out of 5 sisters. However she is 86 and the 5th sister passed at 98 so it will never be 5/5.... 

She must have known about it and she just did not say anything to her daughter for over a year. Last week her daughter noticed a stain on her blouse and asked her Mom what that was. My Aunt said oh you know the boil I had a year ago? It's a bit bigger. My cousin looked at it and it's a fungating wound about the whole size if her breast. She'll go in for a few tests but she has refused sx and they probably will not offer chemo cause she wouldn't survive. She knew, how could she not, having watched her 3 sisters go through this. So my cousin has said her wishes will be followed which right now is that she'll "go out with all the parts I came in With LOL! She's my favorite aunt and a lovely person who still was driving until last month when she passed out at the assisted living home. Sorry for the ling post. Much love. Oh. That's my sister and me with my Aunt in the middle last week on a short visit! (We both live about an hour away in two different directions!
