Poll Urinary tract infections , antibiotics and breast cancer

There are several studies linking breast cancer and antibiotics used for urinary tract infections . I was one on years of antibiotics and developed this at 36 years old . Let's start our own poll on this.

Although I applaud your initiative, am wondering what the point of your poll would be. I have never had a urinary tract infection and though I have taken antibiotics at times, since childhood, I don't think my usage was extraordinary. Responses to your post will be anecdotal at best and wouldn't offer anything in the way of cause and effect. Good luck.

I have had UTIs, but I have also had Lyme disease which caused me to be on long stretches of antibiotics. I wondered to my oncologist and other doctors if there might be a connection, but all said no.

I also have lyme. There are a couple of studies linking long term antibiotic use and breast cancer. I don't know how to post the link.

About 2 UTI's per yr for the past 20 yrs .....usually given Cipro as an antibiotic !!!!!!

I have always suspected a strong link with antibiotics. I have systemic yeast from antibiotics. The parallel between rapidly multiplying yeast and cancer is far too similar.
