Where is Diane? maybe she is too relaxed to post
-
Sorry!! I'm here. Been getting ready for my babies
I'm pretty close to ready - Costco on Sunday and nothing left but wait. Washing crib sheets, baby towels, and some cold weather clothes right now. Sheila, are you ready for this? I bought two HOT PINK snowsuits. She wanted me to get some for cold weather/snow, Macy's was having a huge sale but only colors were black and pink in their sizes. I am not putting a little girl in black. I'm going to explain the circumstances and hope that calm prevails for this ONE TIME thing.
You spelled it correctly and I love limoncello too! Just don't try grappa.
I heard today you are all on storm #15!!!! And there'll be more to come - we are going to have a series of wind/heavy rain storms, usual threat that we may lose power but I've got candles and gas fireplace and can cook on the grill if needed. I don't envy you on the east coast right now.
DD has changed her mind about gift for her BF so back out we go shortly. DH stopped to get us thai food tonight so he should be home soon.
Sandy - glad you are not out there shoveling. Really hope the tremors calm down for you and that you feel ok. You are amazing!
Okay, food is here - DH very happy because it was free since it took them way longer than it should. Woo-hoo.
-
Diane....lol about the pink....did she tell you what color?
enjoy your free food
(((Ducky))) (((Sandy))) (((FK)))
What a night for male skaters....the rest is DVRing
I'm bored and hungry again
But grateful we have power and heat....it's not really that cold outside in 30's
-
Wow! So much to catch up on!
This has been displayed on our "Amber Alert" signs for the past few days. I took the picture on my way home this afternoon. Temperature today...73°!!!
-
Hey Meece - quite a statement on that sign. Recent rains haven't helped much?
Sheila - no, she didn't tell me a color. I'm not giving away my power anymore
-
Meece...so good to hear from you...sorry about the water problem we have enough snow to melt and send it there.
Diane...Good for you.....I can't wait to see some pictures of the Cutie Pies
I'' ll finish watching the Olympics now
Good Night
-
Ahh Sheila, was wondering why you were up so late. I watched AI then turned on Olympics and fell right to sleep...now wide awake. Missed all the skating but I think I DVR'd. I did not hear that news story...how can anyone endure such loss and pain?
I also said today was beautiful out there...we'll see in the morning when I have to drive to work.
Wow, the PA ladies have had a LOT of snow...hope you are warm and well-stocked. The main thing is keeping the power on...so far so good. Winds have calmed down.
Ducky, it's heart-wrenching. When my DS moved to Chicago I felt the same thing - he may never come back here. Now he has met someone and he is talking about job-hunting in CA. He has had it with the Chicago winter.
Sandy, I hope the SEs will pass quickly this week end. And I hope that nasty cold is leaving too.
K, the PA ladies includes you...how have you held up with the snow? So glad you moved but bummed that you are so far now. Think spring.Diane, you are SO well stocked- you can open up a small day care now. I know you have been getting stormy weather that doesn't seem to stop. I hope it dries and the sun shines when your girls arrive.
Meece, that is quite the telling message on the sign. Is there rationing yet for anything? I remember living in CO when they had no snow in the winter...the main source of water there. We were rationed all summer for lawns and washing cars etc. I love hearing about your Koi...we have a large pond with huge colorful Koi at the aquarium about 10 minutes away. I wonder where they go in the winter....maybe a behind the scenes indoor tank?
TOL ladies in hibernation....missing you and hoping all is well. Chris, Linda, how was the snow?
-
Joan. they go deep in the pond and "hibernate". Koi do not need to eat if the water temperature is below 55°. They just sort of hang out. They are not sure what to do with this weather, they don't know what season it is.
-
The youngest of my great-grandaughters..........Ladies introducing Shea-Lyn...
-
Oh Ducky, Shea-Lyn is adorable!!! Off to pick up present DD ordered for BF. Stay warm ladies....
-
You too.....watching the massive accident on our turnpike......it is unbelievable......been on that road so many times..........when my grandson played football for Carnagie Mellon University we drove there every Saturday up and back in the same day....for 4 years...5 hours each way.......believe me they fly on that road.......someone hit ice, and sun glare is what they are saying.....but the road did have some ice on it..........huge mess.......
Thanks Rain.....she is a real cutie..........I have never seen this baby[ without a smile....she is amazing........
Enjoy your day......
-
Happy Valentine's Day my wonderful sisters xoxoxo
-
((((♥TOL♥)))
ducky.... the baby is very squeezable
-
Thanks Sheila.....she is a cutie.........her Mom is the other twin..........
-
These are my twin grandaughters......Shea's Mom is the one on the left.........
-
Gorgeous girls!
-
Thanks Rain..........they are...........the one on the right has identical twin daughters, and is pregnant with her 3rd......due in April.....
-
Ducky - on the news tonight they were showing the big pileup you mentioned earlier and I think they said Township Line!!!
-
ducky, your gr-granddaughter is so dang cute!! And your Granddaughters are so lovely. Thank you for the very kind words. (you know what I mean...)
Diane, have a wonderful time with your grandbabies.
I hope all you eastcoasters are safe & warm & I hope you do not lose your power.
Sandy, I am keeping good thoughts for you, dear friend.
Hey, Meecie!
((K ~~ Sheila ~~))
Thank you for the kind words, Joan.
Oh, I just bought a Dell laptop. Very busy week coming up & then I'm gone for a week, so not sure when I'll get it set-up along with the wireless printer. But, my Q is:
Anybody use Windows 8? Your likes, dislikes about it??
-
People I know are not liking Windows 8 and are standing by 7.
-
Val.......yes they are pretty.....all of them.......
I think I still have 7, not sure.....received a notice to update, but never did......maybe I won't......
Hope your all ;doing well...............so far no snow.......maybe we get lucky.............pleaseeeeeeee
-
ducky, is your Shea-Lyn trying to make a ducky face in that bottom pic??
Your DDs are SO identical...and gorgeous.
Val, I have 7 on my laptop but probably have 8 at work...not sure though. Great to get a new laptop. My hard drive is completely filled...sometimes my laptop shuts down. It's the photos - large file sizes.
I have external hard drives but I have to transfer slowly as sometimes the photos disappear.I heard the PA accident was related to a tractor trailer jack-knife incident but that could have been caused by another car. Terrible...you never know.
Meece, thank you for the Koi explanation. How deep is your pond? I know here that ponds for small fish have to be at least 5-6 feet deep to not freeze down in the winter. A winter like we are having in the east would probably required a lot of vigilance to keep the water from freezing down.
Stay warm everyone...snowing here. Canceled trip to DC today...loving being home and working on my closet.
-
Today I moved the glass and metal coffee table, the ceramic vases in front of the fireplace, and a few other things. Got a text from DS that I better be ready to give lots of piggy backs and hugs.....right now it's anticipation I feel, in a good way.
-
what day are they coming Diane?
-
Joan......those 2 lovely ladies are my grandaughters........wish i was young enough to have daughters that age......they are 31 years old..........one has identical twin girls, and expecting in April.........the other one is Shea's Mother.......she is not married......she was living with a guy for maybe 4 years........she got pregnant........things went wrong, and he will be moving out of the house she bought March 8th......they are both gorgeous in looks and personality....just left them....was at one of my grandsons birthday's tonight, and the family......well 1/2 was there......bad weather...
Rain....so excited for you......hope it all goes well...........stand tough.......lol
