Red - Thoughts and gentle hugs. So sorry about your FIL.
Grateful for dinner last night with a group of cousins. Good food, laughter, memories.
Good Weekend All
-
red, so sorry for your loss.
Day 38: grateful I couldn't fall asleep last night, DD came in at 1:30 and would have scared me half to death if I had been sleeping.
-
I am grateful to be on a very nice vacationI will post more about it when I get back. Red, so sorry about your loss.
-
I am grateful for warmer weather today.
-
Red, sorry for your loss, it sounds like he was much more to you than the average FIL.
I'm grateful that it didn't snow today.
I'm grateful my son is visiting from college this weekend.
I'm grateful that our kitchen remodel is almost done.
-
Sorry for your loss Red.
Today I am grateful for my friend Kay, today would have been her 69th birthday unfortunately she passes away from ovarian cancer in 2005, we didn't meet till later in our lives but from the day we met it was as if we'd been friends forever.
-
Day 39: grateful I got to the credit union and jewelry store (to pick up a repair) just before they closed. Great pizza stop in that area too
-
hbcheryl....isn't it awesome when you meet someone and you instantly become friends....like you've known them your whole life !!!
I too am grateful today for my best friend whole passed away a year ago tomorrow from colon cancer in her early 40's ........
No one else could make me laugh like her ....!!!!! So today I am grateful for our 26 years of friendship !.
-
Day #40
Today I am grateful for my DH who made scrambled eggs and sausages for our Sunday morning breakfast. And...I slept through the night for the first time in many months!!!! Yay!
-
Grateful to feel like I have accomplished some things on my "to do" list this weekend! And for spending last night with a good friend laughing, eating and possibly a glass of wine or maybe two!
-
I am grateful for beautiful, white, fluffy snow.....that will probably mostly be gone by tomorrow
-
Red ~ My condolences, it sounds like you and your FIL were very close.
I am once again behind by a couple days (only being behind a couple of days is actually unusual for me).
For yesterday: I am grateful for my aunt and uncle who came and brought lunch. They have always been wonderful.
For today: I am grateful that I get to see my MO tomorrow - have a low RB count going & all the symptoms of anemia and if anybody can 'fix it' it'll be him.
-
Today I am grateful the weather has cooled a little before heading up again tomorrow.
I'm also grateful for the time and effort that the volunteer fire fighters are putting in trying to stop a very dangerous fire from reaching some small country towns.
-
I am grateful there is no snow in the forecast for the upcoming week.
chrissyb, sure hope they get the fire out and that everyone is safe.
-
DAY # 41
Grateful today that I hardly have hot flashes anymore!!!
-
Day #40
Today I am grateful that my appt for rads planning and CT scan has finally arrived. I will have a schedule which will be great. I will know what is happening which will increase my peace of mind.
-
Chrissy, hope all is well with the fire now. It's been really hot and dry down there. Fire is such a frightening possibility.
-
Red the fire that is burning is the same one that started a month ago.........the fire fighters got it under control but the weather has not been good and it flared up again last week. The flames have been so high above the canopy and the smoke so heavy it's been difficult for the water bombers to get in there and be effective. The weather for the next week is also not good for fires so we are all just hoping the wind turns and turns it back on itself. As I said, grateful for those selfless fire fighters and all who work tirelessly as support for them.

Grateful to have had a great day at work. Spent the morning meeting with a gentleman from Pakistan who wants to start a non-profit similar to the one I work for when he returns home this summer.
Nel
-
I'm grateful I got my errands done. I'm pretty tired, but two weeks ago I wouldn't have had the energy to do this much in one day.
-
Ah, for the reminder of the wonders of motherhood to a pre schooler. I was washing dishes when I heard nana & looked down just in time to see Caden wiping his nose on the tail of my shirt. Gross, I know, but it made me smile thinking of the days when the kids were little. I'm grateful for my kids, my DH, my little nana's fellow, my family, and my life.
-
Chrissy, how close is it to you? I need to know. I'm worried about you.
Susie, I know just what you mean. I will find myself crouched down so that I am face to face while talking to one of the little ones and it hits me! I used to do this with the kids too. And I smile.
Curve, I'm glad your energy is returning. Isn't it an awful feeling when you can't do half of what you need to do? We need to get out of that feeling soonest.
CC what's a Son's if Norway program?
Nel, how wonderful you must feel to have helped someone being a program to help others. I can only imagine the satisfaction you must feel tonight.
-
Red I'm quite safe and for the moment the wind is in the direction that pushes the smoke away from me but I do have a friend right in the fires path so we are all praying for a weather change and some rain to help extinguish the flames but at this time nothing is forecast.
I am grateful to have friends who care.
-
I am grateful for our just finished fun vacation; the chance to get together with old friends, see new things, and be WARM! And I am grateful for safe, uneventful travels.
-
Chrissy - will be praying for rain in your area.
Ruthbru - So glad you had a nice vacation - and a warm one (I'm a little jealous - just a little : )
So.. somedays I have to think about what I am grateful for, but today for sure it is my oncologist who is the sweetest best doctor in the world. Today I went in for a regular 3 month appointment, but I have been having lots of shortness of breath, fatigue, lightheadedness, etc since my exchange surgery about a month ago (and no, I'm not smoking) - so when I went in today I was having trouble even talking and my doc checked me out and then he said that he wanted me to go to the er & get some test run (everything is okay), but here's the thing - HE got a wheelchair and pushed me down there himself way on the other side of the building. I asked the ER people if any of the other docs did that and they said 'nope - never seen it happen'. I am so lucky.
-
Aw....that renews my faith in the medical profession!
-
Grateful for the thread i found that discusses the scream cream.... ......hummmmm may just try it..
Wow Ziggy pop...You have a great Dr.
-
Ziggy - great doc. hope all tests turned out well
Grateful this AM to be wearing a new coral colored fleece vest that I bought yesterday. I have had it with winter and the color perks me up and has me smiling all morning
-
Day #42
Today I am grateful for this thread because it makes me examine the good things that are happening when everything around me seems to be chaos. And no, I'm not patting myself on the back.
Ziggy, hope the results were good. Seems like you have a great doc.
Pooh, what is scream cream?
Nel, I like pretty colours that make a person feel good and smile too.
Chrissy, hope the wind does change and lets the fire feed on itself.
Ruth, welcome back. Glad you had fun.
