MT1 - the needle and thread is a superb idea. Apparently they can't tattoo over raised scar tissue, so in my case the scar has to be incorporated into the design somehow. Any ideas gratefully received! I did see a pic of a woman who'd used her scarring as the backbone of a lizard. Great idea but not sure I want a gekko creeping across my chest.

Outfield - they're good pics aren't they? I have been concerned about exacerbating LE too as I already have it - but as the revolting scar is on the opposite side to where I had cancer I might be ok. The cancer scar is absolutely lovely because it got blasted with radiation. Who knew eh?

Is there anyone out there who has had tattooing on their mx scar?

Any new tattoos here? I'm interested in getting one over my scar, and I'd love to hear from anyone else who has done it.

MT1:  I am so very impressed with your strength to go into the tub without hiding your chest!!  My adult son thinks it would be great for me to have a second mx and join him and his father on the beach topless. As breast cancer is so common and not all women are opting for reconstruction following mx, I think it is time that we enforce a new normal.

I've thought of a toga style bathing suit, where the remaining breast is covered and the flat side can enjoy the sunshine.
