ruth. Congrats.
Farmer. Butch is doing well. Adopted another dog that I'm now calling desperation dog since she was my way of saying I'm not dead. She is a Chihuahua and her name is Scarlet.
-
Yay! Lovewins done with chemo and Ruthbru gets a good report! Banner day! We need to celebrate. Virtual wine all around. Lol
107 degrees? I'd want more than air conditioning Chrissy. Although if it's 107 while I'm on vacation I'll learn to live with it. Teehee.
Today it was 6c and the breeze felt and smelled warm and inviting. I would have been grateful for the opportunity to go for a walk, but by the time I got home from work it was dark :-(
-
I am channeling Scarlet's thoughts, and she is very grateful for gritgirl!
-
Scarlet is just adorable.
-
Today I am grateful for a beautiful sunset
-
Today I am grateful to be going on a road trip to London (where my cancer center is located) with my sister - just for fun, shopping and lunch out! No dr appts scheduled, no tests.....just a fun day.
-
barsco - yay for fun road trips w/o doc!
hbcheryl - love those sunsets!
Gritgirl! wow! I LOVE Scarlet and that fact that you call her your DD!
I love Chihuahuas! We found one once with a jacket on and leash attached - we never did locate the owner, guess if you're going to dump a dog that is a good way to do it. We called him Rowdy.
grateful today for pets - for pet rescues and pet rescuers. Grateful for our Jazzmin girl, who decided we should be her forever home. You can see her and her rescue friends here. http://www.okbr.org/index.php?id=2
-
farmer, what a cutie jazzmin is.
ruthbru, first thing scarlet did was to jump into my bed, so i guess she is grateful. :-)
barsco, a fun day with no medical stuff. woohoo! enjoy the heck out of that.
today i'm grateful for coffee. really. warm cup of it right now. :-)
-
Just got home from my 4 year onco checkup.
I'm grateful for the all clear for another year! Yay!
-
Susie, that's the best news!
I'm sure Scarlet is grateful, lucky dog.
Day #13: grateful I had food in the freezer yesterday so I didn't have to make a grocery store run
-
Congrats Susie on your four year all clear!........woohoooo!!!!
-
Yay Susie! Welcome to year five!!!
-
Oh wow, so nice reading such good news from everyone! And the hoodie arriving on just the right day, too. Awesome!
Today I am grateful that (with meds) I was able to get up and come to my DD1's house to watch the grandkids while she has her procedure. I had a horrid fall on my back yesterday, so was afraid I wouldn't be able to help her today. I am very thankful to be here!
-
Yay Susie on your 4 year check up!!
All the doggies are sooo cute.
Barsco, if you're traveling to London, you must be close to me. I'm only an hour from there.
Day #14
I am grateful for my office temp. Work hired her to help me out in case I had appointment or bad days. She catches on very quickly, I like her!
-
I am grateful for friends that I have had for more than 30 years, and that we still get together to share laughs and tears. We are planning another Girl's Night Out....dinner and a movie....can't wait!
-
I am grateful that today I feel a little better, and that I'm not in middle of a week in the hospital, like I was exactly one year ago.
-
yippee Barsco, sounds like a fun day!
Grateful that we have Springlike weather here in Ottawa approx 5c, it's melting!
-
Grateful my CT scan came back negative and I remain NED!!! Wahoo
-
Thank you for the warm and funny thoughts. The hoodie karma made me laugh. I really wouldn't care so much but it is a unique hoodie and a special memory of my Mom buying it for me. Problem is I dried it. I tried spray and wash yesterday and it didn't work. I am trying something else right now. I am determined! I am thankful I am content to stay home today.
-
Grateful for the health food store/restaurant near my home which makes healthy, very reasonably priced soups and other items for lunch. Their business is booming and I hope they will be around for years to come.
-
Nel...Contrats on dancing with NED, you go girl!
Today I'm grateful that DH arrived home safely after his business trip.
-
I am grateful for skype so I can communicate with my daughter who lives 800 miles away.
-
I am grateful that I found a couple really cute sweaters on sale for $7.00 each!!!!
(My two naughty cats were cellmates at the Humane Society)
-
today I received 3 new lymphediva sleeves/gauntlets and an grateful they will help me feel better about wearing one because they are so pretty!
-
Aww Syl that's so sweet. Pretty ones. Good for u
-
Day #14: I am grateful that my brother contacted me last night to tell me he's in the area for business and wanted to meet at my parents today. So we got to spend some time together, he got to see Mom and Dad's new home (and he agrees this IS the perfect place for them), we all had dinner in the dining hall and he now has a better appreciation of Mom's condition (how much the Alz has progressed).
Nel- congrats for the great scan and NED!
Lovewins - any further luck with the hoodie?
Chrissy and Tanya - how goes the weather? Was 85*F here today - the middle of winter!
-
nel. That is wonderful.
Today I'm for a nice long night's sleep
-
Maddy, still crazy hot. Right now 10.30pm we are having a wind and lightning storm, have fingers crossed it doesnt start any bushfires. Just had to google 85f (29.5c), wow thats great winter weather, actually great anytime weather LOL.
Day # 15 I am grateful for the lovely new friend I have made on here. Hi Moira. She writes these lovely long chatty pms that are so interesting they are a pleasure to read.
Tanya
-
NEL is NED!!!! Woohoo!
RedReading - I am about 1-1/2 hr from you. In the Port Elgin area if you know where that is. Close enough to enjoy the beach if I want to and far enough away to escape the summer crowds.
I guess that is what I am grateful for today - to live in a beautiful, peaceful, laid back area.
-
So good to hear all the good news.
Today I am grateful for my MO, who is a lovely woman, very kind but very firm and excellent at her job. The center is such a warm, and caring place. I feel really safe there.
