I am grateful for finding bco.

I am grateful for some of the women on the threads who have become very special friends. Nothing helps you get through hard times better than sharing those moments of laughs and tears, with other women who "get it".

I'm also grateful for power and heat. It's -27C, feels like -38C here this morning.

    Day #5

I was going to say how thankful I was for my dog Cleo, who knows just how to cuddle.

Then I saw one of Ruth's post and was reminded that Chrissy was the very first person to welcome me to BCO and to try to ease some of my fears. So now I am grateful for 2 things today.

I am grateful that even though I'm sad that my son has left for college after the Christmas break, I'm so blessed to still be here for his college days.

I too, am grateful for all the support I've had through BCO. The journey has been much easier because of all you lovely ladies.

I'm grateful also for BCO. You have all been wonderful inspirations and supportive friends. Today I'm grateful for the woodpecker who keeps visiting the suet feeder by our window. Nature can be so beautiful!

day#2 on the 100 days for me - I am grateful for a thing that's going to take a bit of explanation. I have to quit smoking (for a number of good reasons) and decided to quit New Years Eve. Well, I fell asleep with one cigarette left in my pack and the next morning I thought, oh I'll just go outside and smoke it and then it will not be there to tempt me. Then I thought - I better not do that, I'll keep it around as a reminder of how 'strong' I'm being. Well, a few hours later, I decided I'd go ahead and smoke it (which is a good indication of how strong I am not ). But I couldn't FIND it. I tore the whole room apart looking. And I haven't found it since & I know if I had I would not now be on day five. So that's what I'm grateful for - losing that cigarette.

ziggy that is great! Quitting is so hard- it will be 2 years for me in April. You can do this and just keep thinking that if you have one cigarette, you'll have to start at day one all over again-and we know how hard those first few days are!

I am grateful that my back has become much less painful over the last week and my leg and foot are less tingly. I aggravated an old back injury early in December but it seems to be on the mend now.

Day #1  I'm grateful that all our small family could be together for Christmas.  We have the feeling it could be dearly loved, elderly MIL's last.

Day#2  I'm grateful to be home again after travelling to celebrate Christmas.  I love coming home and locking the gate on the world.

Day #3  I'm grateful for rads.  I had 4 rounds last year and the pain relief was profound.  It allowed me to stop using my walking stick, stop using Fentenyl patches and all the anti-nausea meds because of the patches and to sleep without waking up screaming everytime I rolled over.

Day #4  I'm grateful for my DH, I dont have the words for what he means to me.

Day #5  I'm grateful for the cool change in weather that made it easier to catch up on my gardening.

Day #6  I'm grateful for a freezer full of home cooked meals that meant I didnt have to cook today, because I just didnt feel like it LOL.

Thank you Red for this thread.  I'm sure there will be days when I will need to re-read these to remind myself of good things.

    hugs

I am grateful that the weather isn't as bad as they expected this morning, and so far no power outages so dh doesn't have to be out in this bitter cold restoring it.

I am grateful that although we are receiving blankets and blankets of snow, I don't have to worry about shovelling or blowing it. DH and DS take care of that and I can relax in the warmth of the house. Also grateful for snowshoes when I do feel the need to get out for a bit.

    Day #6

Today I am infinitely grateful for snow tires since we had another foot of snow dumped on us overnight. I was able to go around people who were stuck and make it to work in reasonable time. Whew!

Day #3 of 100 - I am grateful to be able to wake up and read the many things that all of you are grateful for - because I have many of those things in my life as well. I just took my tamoxifen & was a little pissy about it thinking that it reminds me of the cancer and then I read farmerlucydaisy's post and realized that being grateful for that pill is probably a much better way to start the day.

I didn't have any good pictures until the family got together on Christmas, so I sent them out late; which was really kind of nice and less stressful....I think I will do it the same way on purpose next year!
