(day #3) I am grateful for physical therapy and to be pain-free! Scar tissue is under control, feels uncomfortable, but heating pad and massage helps that

I just had to come back and give more thanks...I called to make a payment on my portion of an MRI and they told me it was paid and I have a credit for 25.00 they are mailing me!  How awesome is that!

Mmmmmm - hot chocolate...... Grateful that I have a woodstove to keep us warm these days. Bitterly cold here with wind chill of -35. But sun is shining!

    Day #4

Today I am grateful that I still have my mom. She is a little more high maintenance than she use to be, but I am glad she is still with us.

As I take the hundred or so ornaments off our nearly 25 year old (artificial) Christmas tree I remember special times from when the kids were growing up, from trips together, from first this and thats, people and pets who are no longer with us, I am so very grateful it has been our old friend.

I am also grateful for my BCO friends around the globe. You ladies are awesome. I tell my family BCO is Facebook for BC survivors.

May I play too? I think this is a wonderful thread....

I am grateful I went out yesterday for a very, long walk.........today.......it's snowing here again, and we have a windchill of -23C. I will have to walk on the treadmill in our condo gym.

I am grateful that our roads are cleared so driving isn't so harzardeous.

(Day #4) Thankful for the new PT who found cording in my arm, elbow to arm pit. Initially, thought she'd have to scrape me down from the ceiling, it hurt so bad! It's still sore. Now I know why and it's not all in my head!

Today, thankful I got up and went walking. Less than 40 degrees here, so grateful the weather allowed me a nice walk

Edited to add: today was my birthday and I am grateful I didn't allow anyone to make it a bad day so I went to the movies with myself (good company!)

I didn't see this thread until the 2nd, so here are three "gratefuls" to get caught up to today

Jan 2nd, I'm grateful my washer and dryer have been installed and I can now do laundry at home and not have to drive a long way
Jan 3rd, I'm grateful my fever went back down and I feel better (spiked to 101 after first dose of a new med on Dec 31)
today, Jan 4th, I'm grateful I actually got something done yesterday even though it was only shopping and a few chores around the house, and wasn't completely tuckered out afterwards.

    curveball...glad you're feeling a little better

I am grateful for the simple everyday things in life...my fur baby curled up with me, birds coming to feed, etc...

Struggling a bit today - having to think hard to be grateful, tho I have so much to be grateful for.  Grateful for a warm home, pup who curls up with me and that i will most likely wake up tomorrow and feel much better

    Be well

    Nel

I am grateful for the cozy blanket on my bed. And I hope that this particular thread stays at the very top of all the threads all the time.

I am so grateful for my adult son who wanted me to go to the motorcycle show with him and picked me up to do so! I am grateful for my daughter who insisted we stop by since we were in the city, so the three of us could go to dinner together. I love my kids and am grateful they want to spend time with me!

slv58 - I'm thinking that they are grateful for being able to have you in their lives to spend time with. It's not every mom who wants to go to a motorcycle show. : )

Sorry you're not doing well tonight Nell. Hopefully you will feel better tomorrow.

Shari, it's pretty neat that your kids want to include you in their lives.

    Curve, nice catch up. Lol.

Sitting at the computer trying to get stuff organized for a possible trip to the Caribbean. Hope I can pull all the threads together, if so, I know one thing I'll be grateful for in the future!

Nel - I hope you're feeling better today. We were Feb 2012 surgery sisters I believe.

I am so very grate for DH. My rock through BC. He's not perfect, nor am I,  but together we make an awesome team.
