Traii, Morwenna, Websister, thanks for the welcome! Been sitting awake in the kitchen since 2.15. Went to bed before nine, so got in about 5 hours of sleep. Like a baby will have to sleep longer hours every night until back to normal - LOL. Made coffee, then discovered an unopened Christmas gift basket DH got from his secretary after I had left. So far have eaten one small caramel chocolate and some peanuts. In the middle of the night! Will defo have to get rid of this temptation asap. Siamese princess purring away on my lap, so very happy to have her human slave back.

Still trying to figure out a way to post some wedding photos here . . . will probably e-mail them to one of you to post it for me. Maybe one of my New Year's resolutions should be to do a computer course. It is hard being so stupid when it comes to technology.

Happy New Year.....Welcome to 2014, everyone.

edi....I love the sentiment in that pic....I truly believe that we have the greatest influence in how we live our lives. Sometimes we can change events/circumstances by our choices, and sometimes we can't, but we can ALWAYS choose our attitude and our actions. I will be posting less on the threads this year, as I intend to move forward and shrink the "elephant" to the size of a dust mite, and tuck it far underneath a potted plant. Life isn't more about living with cancer, than it is about living to the fullest. I don't facebook, but if anyone wants to stay connected by email.....send me a PM and I'll send you my personal email address. I'll be reading the threads, every now and then, and will keep you in my heart. I'd love to stay in touch with anyone who wants to "move on" with me.

Let's have the best lives EVER everyone......health and happiness to all!

nihahi - thanks for sharing yourself with us this past year. I understand about wanting to move on and shrinking our thoughts about cancer to the size of a dust mite - that is my intention for 2014. I wish you continued healing and strength . We will miss your contributions. Look after yourself!

    Hi Maria

Happy New Year to you also!

My eyelashes have fallen out a couple of times since chemo, mostly the bottom ones. I am told it is because they all grew back in at the same time so their 'life cycle' is over at the same time - I am told it resolves over time.

Edi - I went for my very first haircut just 4 days ago - it was so sad to see all the beautiful white curls lying on the  floor - but it was time, because the hair was getting on my nerves and it had no shape. Now it is shaped nicely and the curls are still there - what a surprise!

Your grandchildren are beautiful - lucky you!

Glad you are feeling less tired. I am off to Hawaii for 6 days to rest up and relax after the Christmas madness.

Say hi to Jackpot for me!

Liefie - welcome back - hope you are over the jet lag - it takes a while!

    Keep warm x

Jackpot I think most peoples hair comes back curly. Mine did twice. The first time it lasted a few cuts then gone, back to its straight self. I havent cut mine yet. Just straightening it (thats my norm anyway)..lol

jackpot - I think almost everyone gets curls after  chemo - some of course do not. And some people's curls last for a long time - others loe th curl pretty quickly - we are all so different. I like my curls, but I have a friend who hates hers and tries to straighten it! I wonder  what you will get. So glad that you are meeting Edi . Hope you are starting to feel much better after the taxol.
