Mods - we keep forgetting to take pictures because we TALK too much, lol! Or, is that just me? -
Wish there was someone near me to go with. I miss the get togethers.
-
kira1234, miss seeing you too! Can you talk your DH into shopping at the Bose store? Maybe there's some new technology he'll want to check out.I'm always game for going back to the Cheesecake Factory though it can't compete with the amazing cookin' around here. (I'm still sad I missed fireworks lunch last Saturday)
-
I was up there just the week before for my 6 month visit with Dr. Wright, so didn't want to ask him to come again. Will say all looks great as far as the blood work which is what I worry about.
-
Kira, maybe we can coordinate your schedule with our next gathering. We have really been missing you. -
Love~Peace,

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I saw this on one of the other threads and it is just too funny!
Did you let your bird chill in the sink a couple of hours before roasting?
-
OMG! That is hilarious!
-
Methinks that Bird has had TOO much chillin' !! -
Happy Holidays to all Tampa BCO!
I look forward to seeing everyone in 2014!
Firework -
Whoa! Cool art! As we move into December, I hope each of you has a stress free, cancer free, joyous celebration.
-
Time for a chuckle. I'm sitting in MOs office waiting for port flush and blood draw. No stress there! The receptionist says "hello there Special K". My head whipped around so fast! It wasn't, then I started laughing at. And to myself.
Happy Holidays everybody. -
Too cute! Have a great holiday yourself! -
What an interesting conversation I had last evening at a wine-tasting event. I met an OR RN who works for a PS. As the after-event dinner was mostly wound down, I asked if I might pick her brain. She'd already realized I'd had BC when the ladies were speaking of HRT and said i couldn't take that.
Prior to the current PS she works for (doesn't do reconstruction) she'd worked mostly with BC patients and reconstruction. We did move away from the group to talk. When she heard I was ILC, she kept saying you did bilateral right. Told her yes. She was was obviously relieved to hear that. We talked about the various surgeries I've already done. She did suggest Fat Grafting and I'd told her I'd already consulted with Dr Gayoso in St Pete along with Dr Khouri in Miami, that I just couldn't bring myself to commit to wearing those domes for a good year or more to achieve completion. She couldn't say enough about Dr Gayoso's results.
It was quite interesting that because of the ILC she was most adamant a PET scan should be done at least annually if not every six months. Additionally, again she was adamant that a Filter should have been or should be installed because of throwing clots.
All in all, a most interesting conversation. -
Did she mean a vena cava filter? I had one put in about 4 years ago, I had multiple DVTs and PEs. I was told I was damn lucky. They just shot the area with lidocaine didn't hurt a bit. I talked to the surgeon the whole procedure. -
I believe that's what she meant. Naturally it's a concern of mine any time I have surgery since throwing clots during the micro-vascular surgery. Thanks for the input! -
I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas today. May you and your families be blessed with joy, happiness and good health. You are a wonderful group of women.
-
Merry Christmas to all of you. It has been an honor to connect with each and every one of you. Hope you are able to spend the holidays with family and friends. Much love and healthy wishes for the new year! We'll all have to catch up sometime.
-
Merry Christmas to each one of you.
-
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
-
It has been very quiet here. I hope that means everyone was enjoying a great Christmas! It is hard to believe that a new year is almost here! My hopes and wishes are that 2014 will be a GREAT year!!!
-
Methinks most are still celebrating the Holidays.
-
or recovering. Or snowed and frozen in
