so sorry, franny, and welcome. i was 52, BS said from the looks, it was eight years old!!! long story, but no family history either.

I was diagnosed at 37

42   no family history (and we have lots of females on both sides) no risk factors other than dense breasts -

I was/am 50-years-old when diagnosed.

Welcome marty, I see this was your first post.  Sorry you have to be here, but glad to have you.

I was 3 months shy of turning 47. My mom was diagnosed at 68. She is still fight 5 years later.

OMG.....so young all of you......I must be the oldest here.....other then the 81 year old mother spoken of...

I was 75 when diagnosed in Feb 2011........turned 76 that April....showed in a routine mamm.....had calcification problems for years prior....finally developed into something......lumpectomy and Rads, am on a Letrozole  ( the devil pill).......now 78.....SE's......feel like 90......

So sorry for all of you young ladies...so very sad......I'm old, but not any of you....so unfair....hugs

40, got the news 9 days before I turned 41 (which is today!)
