so sorry, franny, and welcome. i was 52, BS said from the looks, it was eight years old!!! long story, but no family history either. -
I'm so sorry Franny but I am glad you came to this site. You will find lots of supportive ears and loving hearts here.

Diagnosed just after my birthday at 59 years old. No family history. Dense breasts with both breasts involved. Tumour in left breast and atypical cells in right breast. Now just over 1 year clear.

I was diagnosed at 37

44 - First time - diagnosed day before my wedding anniversary
48 - second time - diagnosed 5 days before Christmas - four years, 1 month and three days after 1st diagnosis.

42 no family history (and we have lots of females on both sides) no risk factors other than dense breasts -

Lumpectomy at 23 for DCIS/ADH. Mastectomy at 44 for IDC/DCIS/ADH.

I was/am 50-years-old when diagnosed.

I was 3 months shy of turning 47. My mom was diagnosed at 68. She is still fight 5 years later.

OMG.....so young all of you......I must be the oldest here.....other then the 81 year old mother spoken of...
I was 75 when diagnosed in Feb 2011........turned 76 that April....showed in a routine mamm.....had calcification problems for years prior....finally developed into something......lumpectomy and Rads, am on a Letrozole ( the devil pill).......now 78.....SE's......feel like 90......
So sorry for all of you young ladies...so very sad......I'm old, but not any of you....so unfair....hugs

I am 58 and was just diagnosed 3 months ago. Seems like alot of women in our age group are getting diagnosed.
