Hello lovely ladies!
I had a special weekend catching up with some other BC ladies. We laughed a lot, ate a lot and had fun! I just hope I haven't put on too much weight
I am sooo looking forward to Christmas....it really is a very special time. I haven't put my exercise back on track yet so this week is the one. I really need to get back into it before Christmas.....for obvious reasons.
I hope everyone is happy and well! -
Hi, Tammy!!! It sounds like you had a lot of fun!!! Good for you!!! Holidays are for having fun with family and friends and of course Great Food!!!!! We had ate a lot on Thanksgiving, but our son made us do a hike on Friday!!! Tiring, but fun!! Hugs!!!!! -
Hello ladies,
Sounds like you had a nice holiday weekend as did I.....enjoyed family & friends.
I over ate & I'm just not use to eating like that anymore....I'm back on track today. I worked & actually did the treadmill for a bit before I made dinner. I'm gonna be serious again as I have gained all the weight I lost in the past year! So I am starting from the beginning again....oh well...at least now I know more about what to eat & what not to....I'm going to start keeping track do my calories again as this keeps me honest.
I would like some positve thoughts & prayers as yet again I am experiencing another what I fear is a set back. I started noticing some changes in one of my implants & it's making a sloshing sound.. :-( I see my PS on Thursday & I am sure he will send me for a MRI. I am so wanting to put all this behind me, but keep being reminded that my journey is not ended. I'll keep you posted.
Have a great week! Eat well, drink lots of water & be active!
((((Hugs))) Janet -
Dear Janet!! I am lifting you up in prayer right now, that the MRI shows nothing significant!! Please let us know how it goes and what your PS says!! Good for you, that you got on the treadmill, it relieves stress too! I am so sorry that you are going through this, but please know we are here for support and encouragement! Try not to worry, I hope you can feel my hug!!!! Kathy -
thanks Kathy! I can! I truly appreciate your support, past & present!! -
Janet (((hugs))).... Sorry to read your news.... You are in my prayers.....
You've reminded me to get back into exercise and drink more water :-) -
Hi Janet,
Praying for you Hon that everything will turn out fine with your implant. I too have gotten off track, but you have helped me to also recommit to diet and exercise.
I'm sorry I have been MIA for quite some time ladies. I accidentally took this thread off my favorites and thought no one was posting. Good grief. Anyway, I'm back! Good to read all your comments again and reconnect with you. -
Good Morning to everyone !! So good to see you, Rocket!! Yes, today is the day, even with Christmas almost here , that we try to resist the goodies that are thrown at us , he ,he!!! Or at least keep exercising and drinking lots of water !!! Thank you, Janet !! I just rode the stationary bike and plan on walking as well later today!!! Hi, Tammy!! Praying for you , Janet!!!! -
thanks ladies!
Xoxo -
Rocket, welcome back!! -
Good evening ladies, I'm back from seeing my PS with script in hand for an MRI. Now I have to wait for authorization......should hear tomorrow, then I can schedule an appointment. Meanwhile, I'll keep up with my healthy eating & continue walking on the treadmill. I'm off until next Thursday! (Next week is my short week) Looking forward to some decorating & shopping :-) thanks for all the support! -
Dear Janet, I am sure you want the MRI as soon as possible! Are you in any pain? You are in my thoughts and prayers! Enjoy your week off and get some rest, but have fun on the treadmill!! Have a restful weekend!!! -
Kathy, no I'm not in any pain. Things just don't feel they same. Much more rippling & a sloshing movement that was never there before. I heard from the office that the insurance denied the MRI initially. They want me to have a sonogram first. The office is trying to appeal it first. So...it looks like nothing's happening until early next week. Enjoy your weekend! -
Dear Janet! So glad that you are not in any pain!! Hopefully, by next everything will be straightened out and you will have the MRI done!!! Do something fun this weekend and don't worry! Hugs!!!!!! -
Janet, hope you get insurance approval soon....I'm sure you want to get things moving ASAP.
It was my niece's 3rd birthday yesterday. It was a lovely party and a house full of pink presents and wrapping paper!
I'm thinking about putting up the tree today...does that count as exercise -
hi, Tammy!! I am sure you had so much fun with your niece!! Pink has become one of my favorite colors!! Yes, indeed, putting up and decorating your tree is great exercise!!! Have fun!!!!! -
Sad news to report here. My DIL was expecting our second grandchild, and she miscarried this week. We are saddened and would appreciate your prayers. -
Rocket, so sorry to read your news....you are in my prayers... -
Dearest Rocket!! Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry. -
Dear Rocket, so sorry for your very sad news. You are in my thoughts & prayers. -
Thank you Ladies! You are the best! It's so nice to have supportive friends. Bless you all! -
Good evening ladies, to keep you updated on my continuing saga.....I was denied an MRI, so had a sonogram done on Tues & found out today that there is no rupture. Yay! My PS thinks it's scar tissue that loosened up & now the implant has more room, hence the swooshing sensation. The plan is to address this after the holidays. As for now, the good news is that there isn't any emergency to do something.
After working today I decided to do some yoga & strengthening exercises from some shows I am DVRing from our PBS. I really liked it. Going to try & do this faithfully....looking to decrease some low back discomfort. I've gotten bad with doing my stretching....it's so important to stay flexible. I haven't been on the scale in a few days, I hope it show some progress. I've been doing much better eating. I can tell I'm eating less....I have to go to bed because my stomach is growling & I don't want to eat! Lol
Thinking of you lovely ladies!
Janet
(((Hugs)))) -
Dear Janet, great news!!!!!!! Yoga is an activity that I have been wanting to try!!! I am sure you are heaving a big sigh of relief !! Now, enjoy Christmas !! Hugs !!!! -
Janet, yay!
Yes, you've reminded me I must get back to stretching.....and exercising.....and eating less....lol
Can't wait for Christmas, it is a very special time of year.
Thinking of everyone -
Hi Gals,
Well I did it again. Last Christmas season I was wearing a fracture boot after my foot surgery. This year I'm wearing a fracture boot, as of yesterday, because I broke my big toe right where I had my previous surgery! As I was rushing to get ready for our trip to eastern NC, I flipped on the chair mat in my husband's home office with one foot and caught the big toe of my other foot on the edge of it and bent it backward under the weight of my foot. I had hoped it was just a sprain, but when they took an x-ray yesterday, they saw the break. I am very fortunate that I didn't need surgery. So my exercising will consist of stretching because I can't do anything else like walking and cardiovascular exercise. I'm pretty bummed that this happened, but I'm thankful that's all it was and nothing more serious. I'll be in the boot for six weeks! Grrrrrrr! Somehow I have to get our house cleaned up and ready to sell while wearing this thing, or I may be forced to hire someone to help clean the house. Prayers appreciated.
Janet, I am so happy that your situation isn't more serious. Thanking The Lord for your good news!
Tammy, you could exercise for me too okay? :-)
Have a great day everyone. I think my DH and I are going to see the movie "Frozen". It looks pretty cute. -
Dear Rocket! You have a lot on your plate right now, but knowing you, you will every lemon into lemonade!! I truly believe that God gives strong and positive people like you more challenges, because He knows you can handle it and you become a role model for others like me!!! Hopefully, those 6 weeks will fly by and you will be back to walking?? Can you do any swimming?? I am sending you a great big hug!!!! -
I will hit the therapy pool when we return home in a few weeks and hopefully that will speed the healing in my foot. I joked with my foot doctor a few months ago that I was ready to break up with him. He's operated on both of my feet and has been my foot surgeon for almost two years now. After this latest foot incident I'll be seeing him a bit longer. Sigh~ -
Rocket, I could feel it when you described what happened
I will definitely exercise for both of us. I started with stretching yesterday and my back is now sore.....too much, too soon? I am now concentrating on walking and a light jog. I will update you with my progress.
Let us know what you think of the movie. DH has been given a movie gift and we are trying to decide what to see.
I love coming to this topic...everyone is sooo lovely. Take care everyone! -
Hi, Tammy!! You are doing great with your exercise!! How is your new job?? And you are lovely as well!! Hugs to everyone!!!! -
Kathy, the new job is going very well. They are nice people and the work is good.
I am still doing a morning walk and I'll soon be back to other exercise as well.....that's me giving myself positive thoughts
