I know a lot of people who would have some real trouble with this yardstick.

Morning, all! Temp here in Niagara is about 34F. We had some snow yesterday -- a light dusting all gone today.

Blue -- We had guests over the weekend and made the quinoa/brussels sprouts/dried cranberries dish you posted from Thug Kitchen. It got rave reviews all round!

From the mud fence people who are so glaringly low they will take anything and turn it into a story so slanted one wonders how it stays on the page. Appalling ignorance in a maximum way.

Keep thinking one of these days since we don't stay static they might look at some of the things they have said and actually see what so much of the rest of the world does. Blatant racist idiocy. A real tail between the legs moment for sure.

Blue...that is a great age for a baptism. He can entertain his guests, with his brother's help of course.

Blue .. just went back to look at the pictures. You look beautiful! Love the fur wrap! I can't wear heels anymore either .. except for the ones on my boots and they're only about 1 1/2 to 2 inches.

George is indeed looking very mischievous ... he cracks me up. Can't believe Philip is already 7 months-old.

Sunnyflowers ... we've got the freezing rain forecast for tomorrow and snow on Wednesday. Yikes. My mom is making the 3 hour drive from her house in NC to my house on Wednesday. She's almost 80 and I really worry about her driving. She's going to help me with the apple pies.

Jackie ... really enjoyed the "Dear Amy" column. I doubt very much that the mother who wrote in will ever change.

blue you are a beautiful lady. Dress-up or no. I joined the no heels crowd a long time ago. I have arthritis in my feet and try to treat them as kindly as possible. Losing some weight would be the best medicine, but since starting letrozole it keeps going in the wrong direction...

Blue - missed your pics cuz we posted at the same time. Philip looks SO cute, and YOU, in a fur wrap, ooooh laa laa....sexy! tho I gave up heels years ago - they do look good on you.

Jackie - didn't get the bucket problem? Why do you HAVE one filled with water?

Blue...He has grown so much. Still adoreable!

Blue....I loved every picture......Was thinking myself earlier, wasn't it just a month or two ago Philip was born. Time flies sometimes. He is adorable. My daughter had a quiet disposition. Her brother screamed, whether he was crying or playing......Kate just had this tiny little mewing whimper type cry that you could easily miss. No burping....just lay me down and I'll go back to sleep -- patting on the back is not required and she never spit up. I was always so thankful she was my second and last...........if I had her brother second I would have had such un-reasonable expectations as he was everything she wasn't and then some.

I don't wear heels any more either. In fact, I really don't even dress up enough to say I do. I'm not much of one to go out and find keeping up around the house and my animal kingdom and taking care of Dh is about all I can manage.

Sunny....we have special water bowls and buckets for winter that plug in as they have just enough of a heater ( very low - low wattage ) in them to keep drinking water from freezing. So, whomever put the one from the dog pen ( they have a heated dog house by the way ) away at the end of last winter did such a good job we haven't managed to find it. So.....I was dragging my feet.......and taking out water several times a day for the last few days. Wore out on that when I accidentally tipped the bucket ( looked like solid ice but wasn't ) over too far and water poured onto my foot and into my shoe. Just another little winter challenge but I took the cure and went to Rural King and got another winter bucket.

Had snow flurries here this afternoon but it didn't last long. Oh my.....and a storm on the way. Just hoping a good portion of it will pass us by as I'm not really ready for the white stuff.

Just found this piece in my box.....its about time. I end up going to Wal-Mart all the time and in large part because all of the other competitive stores have had to leave. Something of a captive consumer. Still, if I can find some things reasonable anywhere else......I have no hesitation. Also have a standing rule.....for the most part I will not pay much over $20.00 for anything there. Wal-Mart arranges with some big name brands to make a cheaper product for them.....say like microwaves. They used stamped in parts which means if they have a problem in 6 mos. or a yr. --- consider them throw-away as they are un-repairable. Found that out the hard way. Anyway, though I think in the long run some things won't change....would be nice to see unions being able to exist. ALRB got some information out in the open here and that is always good.
