No I am not a veteran, but my dad was a WW II Veteran. He stayed very involved his division; organizing reunions, publishing a quarterly Army Newsletter for years. So I heard lots of stories. In the fall of 2007, I had the privilege of accompanying him and 200 regional vets on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. to see their recently dedicated World War II Memorial. Here is a picture of him and me at Arlington.

Scooter, cool! My dad lived in the Morningside area & had so many stories about his 'neighborhood gang'. HIs dad & 3 sisters lived their all their lives, so I have made many trips to Sioux City.
