    No I am not a veteran, but my dad was a WW II Veteran. He stayed very involved his division; organizing reunions, publishing a quarterly Army Newsletter for years. So I heard lots of stories. In the fall of 2007, I had the privilege of accompanying him and 200 regional vets on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. to see their recently dedicated World War II Memorial. Here is a picture of him and me at Arlington.

    Scooter, cool! My dad lived in the Morningside area & had so many stories about his 'neighborhood gang'. HIs dad & 3 sisters lived their all their lives, so I have made many trips to Sioux City.

    True, it is a really nice fall day here.

    I have been playing around with a new beautician, my old one was getting kind of 'chop happy'.....so we shall see, I may be back to Girl #1 depending on how this goes........

    I think I know what I am making for dinner tonight, for a change.

    * edited to add, my 'hair' on the picture with my dad is actually a wig, I was only two months out of treatment at the time!
