The original thread where natty was relishing my being stage IV was on the root canal thread and the conversation is similar. I think it was revived via comments on this thread and the discovery, yesterday, that my dd had read the cruel comment before it was deleted. As far as I know, it hasn't been moved. Sorry if this has veered ot.

thx, MmeJ. I've been on bco and active for two years. I've seen the usual cattiness, name calling personal attacks (sadly). But, up until that fateful post aimed at me, I had never see anyone take such delight in another members advanced disease. It was beyond the bounds of all human decency.

Susan, thank you. Mean is too kind for how cruel the comment was. I had kind of cooled down about it but now, knowing my baby (ok, she's 23) saw it, I am furious.

Thanks ladies, I am exbrnxgrl's younger daughter that read the post. I was hurt, upset, & just shocked that an adult could behave so cruelly on a place that my mom has found so much support & comfort in. While I try my hardest to help my mom & support her, I can't say I know what she is going through. I am eternally grateful for all the love, support, guidance, & understanding you have provided & continue to provide my mom with. I am hoping one day she will get the joy of meeting some of you in person (hint, if anyone in the bay area wants to get together I am more than willing to be the DD and pick you all up after cocktail hour!

And yes, WYO, I did want to kick some butt...or send a nasty PM to her. However, my mom taught me not to fight with cruel people, they will drag you down to their level & then win with experience.

yes I'm defending her post. she commented on a post against my post by commenting on that post. & I'd think jojo's link was extremely apt from what I've read here: lymphedemia to say the least, radiation burns? etc etc

I didn't stir it up. gary, the mouse whisperer has been talking about his mouse experiments again, when the alternatively cared for mice lived 30% longer that those who were treated conventionally he gave the study to be reviewed & no one believed him. so he did the 2 year experiment over again with the same results. still he was not allowed to publish because his protocalls did not match conventional thought.

no , just what I've read here during these past 2+ years. there was nothing in the article i scanned about effects of conventional treatment, just that they were ineffective somewhat anyway. not surgery, it wasn't mentioned. & the mouse whisperer recommends it for our trouble. okay I guess if you know a successful surgeon & you're fairly young & with no other destructive diseases etc etc.& probably if you don't know of anyone whose died under the knife.

abigail, are you serious? Tit for tat? I just reread that exchange. You and Caryn were debating and disagreeing on a number of topics, including the topic of self-diagnosis. Caryn made a comment about that, one that I suspect most of us here would agree with. And she concluded that the back and forth was a "fruitless exchange". She made no disparaging or personal comments about you. You are implying here that Caryn said something to you that warranted the comment from Natty, and that's ridiculous. For you to defend what Natty said is simply beyond belief.

There are probably a lot of people reading this who have no idea what the original discussion was about, and the offending post from Natty thankfully has been removed. To ensure that people reading aren't left with any thought that Caryn might have initiated the exchange that lead to such a vile comment, I wanted to provide some context.

Kaila, it's nice to 'meet' you. As you can see, the discussion boards here are a little microcosm of the world; there is no telling who you might run into! Fortunately most of the people here are nice and caring and compassionate. Like your Mom!

And Jojo, it really was unforgivable, so with regards to Natty, a lot of us will not ever get past this one. She totally crossed the line.

nuff said.............that bleeding event I think wasn't from colloidal silver or whatever other conjecture, but as usual there was a weather front co ming in, our first snow. & re: surgery: astrologers might say not on tuesdays (ruled by mars) but actually days of the week in a solar calendar are only a construct, but I'd be careful to have surgery only when the weather was fine & would be for awhile

Btw, Nattys post was some of the most disgusting words I have ever read. I was stunned. Taking pleasure in someone's advanced stage? There but for the grace of God go I. Natty should consider those words.
