You might be best posting this in the reconstruction section as I think more people might see it there and respond. Yes, I had severe capsular contracture so much that my diep reconstructive surgery was quite complicated and the results are not good because of it. It has caused quite a bit of discomfort while the tissue expander was in place and now still after the diep. I also think it contributed to my lymphedema issues as well. If you have specific questions, I would be happy to share my thoughts.
Living...yes, I had problems with my TE...PS had to go in twice and fix the pocket....now 5 years later, all is good.....happy to answer any questions...
I had my "exchange" surgery last December 2012 and am more recently experiencing the feeling of "rocks" (in place of boobs) on my chest. Is it because the implants are settling into place or because I am experiencing capsular contracture??? I can definitely "move" the implants in all directions.., in a clock-wise or counter-clock-wise motion, BUT they feel stiff, as if they need to be lubricated. And there is a very slight sound when I am "ranging" them. I just hate this feeling of "rock-hardness". Do you have any advice for making my foobs more comfortable and more a part of my natural anatomy? I look forward to any advice that you have to offer~ )
