C....did not realize you had a MAC. The mods might have a MAC answer by now.

Hm, Sunny. Was sitting here earlier admiring blue lines. I seldom have any need what-so-ever to read else-where and normally now don't. Haven't for quite some time. I have not blocked some threads though...........so only know who is posting and when. I find it interesting that anyone comes here and more so yet the couple of times there are complaints about OUR discussions.
Our leaves are coming down quick now that we had a frost. A bit quick for me actually. We were keeping up with leaf mulching and blowing. As we had rain for two days.....most of the yard work is at a BIG stand-still. Do have a plethora of projects here inside so I will stay busy in-between some coffee breaks and checking here.
Saturday is the only day I allow myself to drink extra coffee. Like anything else moderation is the best key to coffee drinking and then my Dr. said.....for every cup of coffee....drink a glass of water. That slows me down right there.
I also allow myself creamer with the last cup for the day. International has York Peppermint Paddy and I'm pretty much addicted to that. Yum-Yum

Kam...shame on me. I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed the picture of the kits.....with the marvelous Miss Boo on top. Sigh !!!! She is such a beauty.
Reminds me of what I've said about cats for more years than I can easily remember....I've never met an ugly cat, though some were prettier than others. They all have vividly different personalities as well. It never ceases to amaze me. I have a half feral ( may more ) who is inside and shies away completely unless she is sanding by her feeding bowl and then I can pet her to my heart's content..............just can't approach her anywhere else. She gives me loving looks in the food area.....extremely nervous and cautious every where else. Wouldn't trade her for a million.

Mods - if you see this pic, I got it on the 4th try. First I did it as a link to photobucket (again). Didn't work. Then as a link to a jpeg outside of photobucket, but served from photobucket. That didn't work either. Then as an uploaded file from my computer. Didn't work. Then I tried the latter method again and it did work!!
Six week old kitten at 24 hour Vet. Abandoned. Vet Tech giving a bath. One of the Veterinarians is adopting. I might have taken this one home. Love the colors!
Weirdly, the 3rd attempt from personal files, that didn't work, the blue white bar acted like it uploaded, but then I had to hit "insert" button for the menu to go away. On the successful attempt, I didn't even touch the "insert" button. As soon as it uploaded, it posted and the menu went away on it's own.

Yorkie - why steroids for Chloe? I dread this afternoon. Driving Ms Boo (1 hour each way) to Internist Vet. She was shocked the other Vets had me giving her SubQ fluids. Huh? (She was on vacation when Ms Boo was discharged, but she is the Vet with more training.) I need a plan for this girl of mine. Giving pills is hell. Liquid meds please!
Jackie - I'm convinced that as for as many cats there are on this planet, there are that many different personalities. My two couldn't be more different, yet still wonderful. Blue - love that saying! -
Kam -- so happy you were able to figure it out (though it seems it might be a little inconsistent). We've still alerted the tech team to help iron out the kinks.
Other Mac users -- can you send us a PM or post on the Glitches thread the issues you're seeing when trying to post pictures?
Thanks! -
Kam, what a sweet kittie! Chloe is getting steroids to shrink her, assumed, brain tumor. I'm hoping it may also help her ear infection, which is stubbornly hanging on. But I don't know if steroids can do that. -
Yorkie - Steroids are good for cancer, arthritis, and a few other things, but they make Ms Boo more susceptible to a herpes outbreak - which in her is upper respiratory. I think they are good for bacterial infections, but not viral, so may help Chloe's ear. For cancer, it is my understanding, they only work for awhile. I left the Vet thinking days to 2 weeks, but I've read in some cases for up to 2 months for Boo's "guessed" at cancer. I'll ask the Internist Vet today.
Mods - not so sure I figured anything out. Just seems random to me (with about a 5% success rate)! -
Speaking of kitties. Steve is away golfing this weekend and Miss Poppy finally realised and slept on the bed with me last night. I wish she would cuddle up to me, but prefers to sleep at my feet. However, I did get a cuddle when I woke up. I had to grab her and drag her in with me. It only lasts for a few minutes, but it is better than nothing.
Markets this morning - can't wait. I was going to do some cleaning this weekend, but I seem to have tendonitis in my left wrist, so relaxing is the order of the day.

I tried sending an image from FB, and that didn't work either. But it used to -
Blue loved your graphic. I do feel the soul of all my animals and my appreciation level for their ( overall ) behaviors couldn't be any more. Never could they be capable of the abuse that people hand out....not only to animals but to each other.

Jackie - Happy blue lines I don't see them anymore unless someone attacks us on this thread. Try to keep an eye on the Active List to see if any newbies are having trouble with stuff I've had and worked thru, may sometimes see a blue line then.
Achy from yanking out plants, thought of you Bren, I haven't raked yet, but put my garden "to bed" today - and now the birds are loving it. Don't know if I said I have many bluebirds here, they are so gorgeous. Fight a lot with each other, but pretty to look at. It's hunting season, so all are wearing orange, the turkeys must know, cuz haven't seen them on my property in days!
Remember to set clocks back an hour. Happy extra hour of sleep. -
Got a suggestion from the Mods and tried it but.....it didn't work -
Trying again! -
I have been feeling somewhat crappy the last 2 or 3 weeks and was getting concerned. Turns out it was shingles. I had the vaccine a year ago and it seems to have made a big difference. More nausea and aches as opposed to intense pain and burning. Back on track now. Good thing as we are off to Florida next week. The kids are coming for part of the time so I am really looking forward to it. -

haha!
-
Are we ready for this?
-
Pip - sorry to hear about the shingles = I've heard it's pretty painful. Glad you're back on track.
Kam - Ms. Boo is beautiful. I hope you get a plan for going forward. I know how difficult this must be. -
PIP - YIKES. I didn't know we could get shingles if we had the vaccine. Seems you were so lucky to have gotten the vaccination, as it sounds like you had a "light" case of it. The full shingles is hideous, and has some awful long terms SE's. THANK GOODNESS you got the vaccine.
BLUE, I wonder who painted that gorgeous pic of the woman in hat walking in the field of blue flowers??? -
Jumping in with some info from the main Breastcancer.org site about shingles, at the end of the Treatment-Related Pain section. -

Here's another one by same painter.

The keeper of my Mac! Hey Mods, 2a method worked.
-
Pip -- So glad you had the vaccine. I got it about a month ago. As I understand it, the vaccine doesn't always prevent shingles, but mitigates the SEs, as it seems to have in your case. I also didn't know that those of us here are more susceptible (thanks for the info, Mods). Anyhow, enjoy the warm, sunny weather and out of the fall chill we are about to experience here! -
C4C - your kitty obviously like mice
