it is 9 days after my 3rd treatment and starting this treatment I am totally repulsed by meat of any kind. I am ok with this although it is a 360 for me. I have always secretly admired vegetarians. Does this go away? Also does the puffy face a wrinkles go away after chemo? I can't believe what it is doing to my skin. Thank for listening and thanks for any input

I only wanted turkey sandwiches, peanut butter and chicken noodle soup for the most part during chemo. And caramel cheese popcorn. Go figure. It does go away. Eat what tastes good and appeals to you. Eating small amounts every couple of hours really helped me.

My skin did return to normal, unfortunately, because chemo cleared up my eczema and my skin looked great! The puffiness may be from the steroids, although I didn't have problems with that, some do.

Be sure you tell your chemo nurses or onc about it at your next treatment. If it's an allergic reaction, they need to know. Hope you can get some relief.

My taste buds changed big time during chemo, and yes, they went back to normal after I was done. Just try to eat as best as you can while you are going through this!

I was utterly repulsed by the taste of water. tea. coffee. loved some foods then my mouth tasted like the bottom of a garbage pail. Brushed & flossed my teeth about 5 times a day as i couldn't stand it. as a result, my gums really improved. After a while off chemo - several months I think, came back to normal.

I found that brushing and scraping my tongue several times a day helped with the bad taste.

I didn't have any problems eating or drinking anything during chemo. But about a month or so after, I totally lost my desire to eat three things: baby-back ribs, pizza - especially with extra cheese -- and fried chicken. All ick, and no idea why.

But as a different problem, from about the same time (January '13) until now, I have noticed that I get queasy every day at dinnertime; whether we eat at home or go out to a restaurant. I can eat before dinnertime or eat in the evening. But I can't eat from about 5:30 to 7:00. Anyone else get mealtime queasies?
