Yikes! (((((E))))) -
Bren - eagerly waiting for updates. E - hang in there! -
Enjoyful's sister let us know that she fell off Sampson when he bolted on her during a lesson today. She landed on her shoulder and head. The humerus broke and stuck in the deltoid. I don't know what the deltoid muscle is .. going to have to look it up. Anyways .. she has the arm in a sling. You can't cast a break up there on the arm. She has to sleep in an upright position for the next two to three months. She is unable to do much of anything, especially no riding. I don't know if having to sleep in the upright position is because of the deltoid puncture or because of where the break is.
Her beloved SO is going to get her a recliner so that she can sleep upright as comfortably as possible.
I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear something else.
hugs,
Bren -
PS .. the deltoid is the muscle that covers your shoulder. I guess when the humerus broke it punctured the muscle ... sheeit that's got to hurt like hell. -
Oh wow !!!! Not what was needed -- drat. So sorry to hear this. So glad there is an SO to lend a good hand when it is sooo needed.
Jackie -
Oh my. Shoulder injuries, let alone the break, are hard. Sleeping is tough. She didn't need this! E - hugs to you.
Bren - what is an "SO?" -
significant other/great very good friend -
Sunny, I have been reading about Sr. Cruz as well for the past couple of days. Jr. Cruz is responsible for what is said, implied, etc. Just wondering why the smart disappears and the stupid comes out so loud, clear and strong. Jr. Carnival is not going to do well if he doesn't wise up. The pea doesn't fall far from the pod. O my.

Blue, I am so very sorry to hear thatRay lost his mother. The loss of a parent is so devastating. I know this will be difficult for both of you. Much love, many hugs, and beatiful flowers.
E- you must be in a world of pain. Let everyone take care of you as I'm certain they want to do. We all love you and will wait with bated breath for good news.

I want the universe to stop picking on E. Universe: STOP, DAMNIT! -
What Alexandria said, double!
Blue and Ray, so sorry for your loss. -
Oh dear God E - what next???? I hate that this happened to you - the recliner sounds like the best idea - guess you'll get to watch a dumpload of really bad TV - may I recommend the Real Housewives franchise - when I was on chemo that's what I watched in the wee hours of the morning because I didn't sleep for six months - please make sure you get enough pain coverage - oh I HATE, this! Love, S.
-
E sweetie - please rest up and I hope you are getting some pain relief. Naughty Sampson!!!
-
Enjoyful----So sorry about your damn fall and break. This has been such a year for you. listen to the Doc and take your pain meds!!! Love,(no hugs dont want to hurt you)--kad2kar -

A little piece from Oct. 22 that I enjoyed reading -- nothing really new, but I like to read different opinions now and then. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/10/22/1249657/-Tea-Party-Ted-Cruz-Will-Never-Be-President. Also, nice to not read some news which just is being used over and over when there is an actual answer to the issue. The ACA site will be running by end of Nov.

Beautiful drawing of a lion Blue. Hugs for you. -
Gorgeous lion drawing, Blue, hugs to you AND Ray.
Just want to add, the WONDERFUL quote on that lion is by Maryanne Radmacher she has a website:
http://www.maryanneradmacher.net/
A friend sent me a card of Maryanne's with that quote, while I was in treatment. Kept it next to my bed for MONTHS. Inspiring. We need to remind ourselves of that valuable quote often.
OK, I don't know what to say about OUR ENJOYFUL. A four letter word comes to mind, might get me banned, SO
OH, PHUQUE Universe, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION AND TAKE BETTER CARE OF OUR ENJOYFUL. NOW. Not asap, but NOW.
Please have "significant other" wonderful human being, buy a twin sized memory foam mattress topper, I prefer the one Costco sells to others, and cut if needed, to give VERY SPECIAL LOVING PADDING TO the whole shoulder area. It is about 3 inches thick when it's unfolded and "aired" back into shape - so you can also CUT it to use too. Was about $80. last time I bought one.
Oh, E. WARM gentle hugs, this really does SUCK. SO much more than Winnie-the-Pooh's "Oh Bother" can cover - really bigtime hugs. -

Blue, the picture of the lady reading a book so reminds me of a picture that I have of my dad's mother, my grandmother. As I am 68, the picture has to be at least that many years old. My grandmother is sitting in a chair with a book on her lap. The clothing has some similarities though Gram's was not as puffy and was a plainer green color.
The second picture is just the kind for which a person could make up many stories. It is gorgeous with a very Fall-like appearance.
Sunny, I have often used Mary Anne Radmacher quotes on the thread where I have been leaving quotes since 2008. A yr. or so ago, I take the same one and put it on another thread as well since those ladies enjoy them too. Brings me joy.
Maybe you will enjoy this Radmacher quote:
There is no small act of kindness. Every compassionate act makes large the world. Mary Anne Radmacher
